😠 This hotel stole our money too. Did not let us now renovations were being done. Sand in pool and hot tub. Dirty toenails on our room carpet. No place to sit outside. Management did nothing but offer a better rate next time. Would visit Manitowoc again but would never stay there again. So so disappo... People often mention room, stay, nice, hotel, pool, area, breakfast,

We stayed here under old management 5 years ago. On planning a trip through the area, we found it under new management and remodeled. We booked a king 1 bedroom Lakeview suite and were pleasantly surprised to find the room clean and nicely modern. We travel with a special needs child and the extra room space is a bonus. I wish every hotel had a room like this for our needs. We were not in need of the pool, so can't speak to that.

This hotel stole my money. Booked a one night stay based on the advertised pool and amenities available for my young nieces. Arrived to a construction site ,almost seemed abandoned. The pool was closed, we were told we could use the Y which closed within 10 minutes of our arrival at 6pm. We did not stay. The Inn on Maritime Bay still felt justified to charge me for the room. In trying to contact someone to discuss the matter I have not had any luck.

Very disappointing stay! They did not let us now renovations were being done. Breakfast choices were very limited. The pool and hot tub were dirty with sand in the bottom. No lounging chairs to sit outside to enjoy the view or tables and chairs on patio to use - just a few metal benches by the path. We actually found toenails on our room carpet!

Stayed here July 12th in preparation to take the Badger back home. Needed some ice only to discover I had to go up to the 2nd floor (we were on first) to find any. In the morning we were expecting to find a ‘breakfast’ which I saw and was told was included. Cereal (no bowls), cheap tasteless white bread, tiny English muffins. Little cartons of juice, milk and yogurt from Walmart. On top of this you had to walk several hallways to get to a large (but empty) dining area. Then at just before 8am the lawn service came and began mowing, trimming and blowing the grounds!! My curiosity led me to find two 12” counters, kitchen equipment, large juice dispenser and coffee maker-all tucked away. Even some large napkins. (Ones near the ‘breakfast’ area were beverage napkins. Seems at one time they may have actually served a real breakfast. They claim they advertise only a ‘continental breakfast’ but that’s not what I saw when I booked. And if so where were the muffins, donuts, tea or other beverages. This place was pathetic and I’ll be contacting the manager/owner. Stay away!!

We love staying here every Labor Day weekend. Oddly enough, Wyndham stopped their affiliation in June 2024 and Ascend took over. Normally there are a lot guests so I don’t think people realize this change happened. We actually booked a room with Wyndham not realizing this. Luckily there were plenty of rooms for us to take.

Located near downtown, walking distance to the shops. Rooms are compact. Beds and bedding were awesome. For a 2 star hotel, it is really nice.

Overall a beautiful hotel and updated room. Great downtown Manitowoc lakeside location. I would stay here again, but a few minor areas for improvement: (1) [continental] breakfast is poor, need to step it up with some hot food options like much more modestly priced hotels; (2) lock the side access door, unlocked all day and night; (3) replace cloudy room windows- I'd prefer a clear view of the lake as I am paying extra for the view.

Overall a good hotel. Weird stain on the comforter and top fancy sheet. Pool area could use a good cleaning. Other than that a very good hotel. Staff was super nice.

Clean, staff is nice and accommodating, great view of the lake with a nice sidewalk and walking area. Several good bars and food places within walking distance. They’ve recently added new things like ice machines and are continuously updating.

We stayed on a Fri and sat night. Was disappointed with the breakfast as you spend so much just to stay there. Had spoiled milk in cooler. The kid on duty didn't seem to care. 2 different boxes so we couldn't gave cereal. Came back from fishing all day and it was cold outside and no hot coffee in lobby. Would not stay again.

When we first got into our room we thought it looks amazing. we went to get settled and check out our bed. hairs, so many hairs, covering just about every single surface in the room, some from the head, some not.... when we told the lady at check out she seemed to not believe us. caulk was peeling, the window was cracked and there was toothpaste on one of the sinks. I'm still hoping it was milk on the bedroom windows. was very gross and do not plan to stay ever again.

I have reservations to stay at the Inn at Maritime Bay Manitowoc. The highlight was going to be taking the SS Badger Lake Michigan car ferry, but they suspended service for the rest of 2023 due to a mechanical failure on the boat. I have called Inn at Maritime Bay three times during regular business hours to try to cancel my reservation. The front desk says that I can't get a refund, and only a manager can reschedule my reservation. But no manager has been there during business hours to handle my complaint, and even after three messages, no manager has made an attempt to contact me. My family vacation time is now wasted, because I can't get my $708.08 back to use for anything else.

Very expensive for what was offered. The elevator electrical panel was wide open. Breakfast offering was minimal. Cigarette smoke poured through suite doors in a non-smoking room. Fire alarm chirped all night long. Huge crack in room window.

I gotta say that for as much traveling as I do I stay in a lot of different places. But when I come to northeast, WI. I have the best experience with the Inn on Maritime Bay. Friendliness staff you could ever ask for. From the front desk to the rooms I have never once had a bad experience or anything less than a friendly smile and a nice hello. Then there is the location. You couldn't possibly have better access to the local shops, bars, and restaurants in the area. They get my vote each and every time I come to Manitowoc.

Not much more to this place other than somewhere to sleep in a nice location. The rooms and beds are small but nice. The facility seems to be capable of offering more, but management seems wholy uninterested in making this place anything but just a nice place to sleep. If you love spiders. You'll love it here.

The Inn has been one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at and I travel often. Pat, the GM, has been so helpful and accommodating during my stay. Weekends are great because the location is the best around right in the heart of downtown and on the lake. You can’t beat the view. The staff is great and all the renovations have been amazing. It continues to get better every stay. I highly recommend this place. Mel and Joey are AWESOME
