My three year old loves it, and I love watching how much fun he has. They have a variety of fun play and learning stations including farming, construction, kitchens, wildlife, woodworking and more. It is kept pretty clean with employees actively working to keep it organized. Great place for an indoor afternoon activity for toddlers. The outside play stations are fun for kids to get a little dirty. My ten month old also enjoys the little room set up for young ones.

Fun experience for my kids. We drove here from the cities and we have a membership to the St. Paul Childrens museum so we got the admission price discounted. Downstairs has a 36 month and under section, lots of spots for the bigger toddlers/kids, spots for parents to sit, cubbies and coat rack. They have a small cafe. Upstairs is a STEM focused area. Organized chaos but the kids had so much fun and we would come back!

The Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota is a must visit location for families in the Mankato area. The museum was filled with a large variety of activities for children of all ages but would be best for ages 2-8. A majority of the activities had a lesson component that adults could teach the children. My son loved the magna-tiles, ice fishing and grocery store. We got there as soon as they opened on a Saturday but it got really busy by 10:30am. Would recommend early morning to avoid the crowds.

3 days in a row during Christmas break and there's still a ton of stuff we haven't gotten to! Season pass was a GREAT investment!

We love spending time here. My grandkids never tire of it, love the new things to do, yet are so excited for their reliable favorites!

Wow. Gorgeous play area for kids. Many hands on activities, such as controlling an excavator.

Pretty cool place for kids. My 3 year old niece had a blast. I was kind of annoyed by the corporate influence with the cement exhibit. Let’s teach kids valuable lessons like nature and science, not how to work for a company their entire lives.

We had a fantastic time at the southern children's museum in mankato. It was $9 per a person including adults. We arrived right at opening, 9am along with many others. There was so much to do. My 2 year old had a blast running around. This is a perfect indoor activity for little ones. I highly recommend for during winter. Parking is free.

We LOVE CMSM! My son is 18mo and we've been going since he was 9 months old. They change and edit their main attractions somewhat frequently while also providing a great deal of consistency that let my son become more confident and comfortable there over the past 9 months. We are never bored and I can guarantee that we will be members for a long time to come!

It was our first time at a Children's museum and we had a lot of fun. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was busy, but we didn't have to wait. We can't wait to go again.

Our daughter loved this place and we'll definitely be coming back. Most of it is on one level but it's very fun and has a lot to do.

We made a day trip as this museum is not close to us and it was very much worth the drive. A lot of variety for a smaller footprint museum. We are hoping to go back again next year. My 4 year old did not want to leave he was having such a good time.

This place was fun, clean, and organized and the staff was exceptional. It was a great experience for both my 7 year old and my 2 year old.

Our grandchildren beg to go here! They played nonstop for an hour and a half. We packed their lunch. Their ages are 8 and 6. Very educational place and very clean. We love taking them there.

Fun place. Smaller so perfect for young kids so it doesn't get so long. Great staff with awesome suggestions of the planetarium shows.

So many fun things for kids of all ages to do. It is small enough where you can have an eye on your kiddos, but big enough where there is a diverse amount to keep them busy. We love spending time here, and will continue to keep our membership active as long as our kids are little. Thanks for providing such a wonderful atmosphere to spend our time at!

Such a fun place to let the kids run around and use their imagination, and $9 is such a reasonable price. Can't wait to go back!

We LOVE the Children's Museum of Southern MN! The staff is always excited to see guests. It's a clean & well-kempt facility. The exhibits change often, but not too often, and they're always intriguing. Its usually not too crowded and is easily accessible. The worst part about visiting is leaving!

This is the best place to go for children in Southern Minnesota in my opinion! Amazing staff, accessible entry, neat programs going on frequently, and play area resets to keep things fresh and fun all happen here! Big shout out to Ellie and Storm for always being amazing and helpful! PS, let your kid take you through the tree fort!

I honestly love this place. Amazing place to bring kids and to have them run around. Only complaint I have is they charge per person (including adults). But it's still not badly priced for everything to do there ($9 per person).

I usually only rate food because well, I love food. BUT, my 7 year old son requests to come here every time we visit grandpa. They have such a good variety, construction, assembly line, plays, farm, supermarket, "jungle" gym, Legos, gravity machine PLUS the outside learning centers. It's not a huge place, but you would never know it!

If you have medical assistance or snap or wic you can get a free membership. My kids ALWAYS have a great time here and hate to leave. It can get really busy on the weekends but weekdays around lunch/nap it can be pretty clear which I like.

There is so much to do here! We are members and go a couple times a month for sure! My kids absolutely love it and could spend the whole day there!!! It's fun to see the exhibits change!

Not so much to spend time here. U will find tiny model kitchen, fishing, paint screen etc where kids can enjoy but will get bored in an hour or so. It's good if you go once a while.

What an amazing place for children under 10. My toddler was thrilled during the 3 hours we visited. There was so much to do. It has something for every kid from art to engineering. We can't wait to visit again!

Our son loves the Children's Museum, and I would recommend a membership if you live in Mankato.

Children’s museum is a wonderful experience. I have 4 children, so each child has their own interests and I feel safe enough to let them roam within eyeshot, and nearly entire museum is within eyeshot when you know where your child is.

Loved it! There's activities for all ages of children! I can't wait to go back with my granddaughters the next time I visit Minnesota!!!

Very fun for the kids. Lots of exhibits to touch, explore, and play with. Good-sized indoor climbing/play structure. Designated tot area. Most likely to appeal to kids younger than 10.

There's something to do for kids of all ages here. Even young babies will enjoy the safe and thoughtful porch play area. I can't wait until my kid is old enough to climb the amazing tree house, that'll give me an excuse to climb up there, myself.

👍👍 When I was little my dad & I would go fishing from the bank of the river, I caught an 8 pound northern when I was 8 years old, so that in itself was very memorable to me. We found old bottles along the shore & even saw soft shell turtles. It was always a very special place. My dad passed away sudd...

👍👍 The equipment is in great shape and there are things for large and small kids. I wish there were more benches. There are small kids stuff, big kids stuff, volleyball nets, and a half court basketball court.
