A delicious meating 🫢😅 Here’s the rub from two trips to Pub 500: Hickory Burger 🍔 🥓 with slow-roasted pulled pork, bacon, pepper jack cheese, and signature BBQ sauce Fried Chicken & Wild Rice Casserole 🥘 🍚 with fried chicken, wild rice and farro, corn, peas and carrots with house made turkey gravy Cheesy Turkey Sandwich 🥪 🍗 pulled turkey topped with cheese sauce, grilled tomato and lightly dusted with cajun seasoning. Artichoke Spinach Dip 🧀 house recipe served with pita bread ——— Why do you put three kinds of meat on the same sandwich? Bar-be-cause why NOT! 😆 My culinary companion had no complaints, just compliments for this handheld. He liked the smoky, fall-apart flavor of the pork, along with a lil’ burger and bacon for a robust meal on a bun 💯 My casserole was a big bowl of home-cooked goodness 😊 The fried chicken had excellent crispiness, and the grains/veggies helped contribute unique textures, with the wild rice being the highlight 🌾 The gravy wasn’t standout, but it was made in-house which always keeps things interesting. I think the creativity of this dish exceeded any subpar components ⬆️ Cheesy turkey was no fowl play 🤭 I think these two ingredients are a heavenly match, and fresh tomato is typically a safe bet. Nothing super outstanding about this one, but I liked the ‘wich for what it was 👏 And in reverse order we end with an appetizer. Unlike many Minnesota sports teams, these ‘chokes are a fine way to end our lineup😬🤣 they’d be winning order any day. The pitas did not impress, but the flavor itself was phenomenal. Don’t dip before trying this one. Pub 500 gets many props for atmosphere, menu uniqueness, options, and food freshness. I’d say a few tweaks they they’d make the top 10 establishments in Mankato for me. If ya check it out, try another burger or appetizer as it seems they do those best 👌

Pat the bartender is a cool dude. Chill place. I had the Drunk food and it was very good. 4 stars only cuz Im sure I didn't get the full effect of the place on a late Thursday night. Will probably be back.

Great pub dining experience and good prices! :-) I had the fish and chips, my standard trial by fire "first meal" if they offer it... and yup, it was VERY perfectly cooked and quite tasty too... yum yum yum!!! Ya better get down here ASAP! 👍👍👍👍👍

We went here on a Sunday for supper. The staff was polite. The food presentation was great. The portions were ok. I wish the tacos came was something more but they were delicious. The desserts were very good as well.

Good food, A little more sophisticated than standard pub fare. Their roasted Turkey is a speciality and it is Good. Free parking in the back. A lovely patio in front. A Fire place inside and a pit on the patio. Worth the stop.

Possibly the best service I've received at a pub - so warm, friendly, effective, and patient with my family. Free parking. Excellent food. Pool table, claw machine, other games to play. Would definitely eat here again.

Great place for food even with the outdoor seating

It was definitely a very busy place on the weekend. It was a 45/50 minute wait from the time we ordered to the time we got our food. The food was good, worth a 45 minute wait good, not quite, but good non the less. I will have to try it again during a week day we it is less busy and they don't have a concert in town.

Love, love, love their food. So much nicer than the typical burger and fries. Healthier choices, delicious pulled pork,turkey. My favorites are the bowls. You won't regret eating here.

I ordered an appetizer, entree, sprites, and dessert. It fared well for me and the group I was with. Parking was simple to find and no reservation needed. This is a go to spot downtown and suggested for a strong consideration.

It's a very nice restaurant with fantastic staff, drinks, and food. It has a very nice atmosphere and it's never been anything but a great experience every time I'm here. Olivia and Derek were fantastic servers and they did a wonderful job, despite there being so many of us.

We started with Dessert cus life is short. My love and I shared the Home made bread pudding with burboun and Carmel sauce. Main dish Hot Turkey Commercial enough to share We had seconds on the bread pudding and tried the stoner chips

Nice people, tasty food, plenty of space, and a patio with excellent people watching & a fire pit make Pub 500 a good choice. It's hard for me to order anything other than the turkey commercial. Highly recommend that! Fried pickles, fried veggies and their homemade chips are commonly ordered. Tasty burgers. Nachos. I honestly don't remember ever having a bad meal or disliking food at Pub 500!!

I had a bartender, I think his name was Adam? Pretty much the best service I've ever had. Perfect recommendations on food, drinks, even had the manager Peter (?) over hanging out and laughing with us. 5 stars isn't a high enough bar for how amazing this place was.

I stopped in for my first visit to watch the Vikings/Packers game (Skol!). The restaurant/sports bar 5 TVs on the wall (I think that is correct), ranging from 30" to around 44"-46". One larger 2 tvs were at the seated bar area which large and sits in an oval. I sat at a high top table in the area that is the sports bar side as there were. one of the 3-4 booths open on the small quieter side. In the seating area there are only three booths, all the rest are high tops, around 10. Once seated, the game ready to start, there was no volume to the game?! I asked my waitress (name withheld) about turning up the volume to hear the game. She replied she would have to talk to the manager. I had to ask again 10 minutes later. Then the volume came up to about a 6; you could hear voices talking but the din was loud that it was hard to hear as it made very muffled. I was disappointed being new to town, picking a sports bar, the TVs were so small and having the big game on with low volume. You should at least he able to hear what is being said without having to focus on it unless the intent is to gather and talk and look at the game? The menu is wide; I settled on the pineapple chicken which was good. The only comment is the baby carrots were 2/3 raw still. My waitress informed me other customers have complained but it doesn't change. I will ask for no baby carrots and extra pineapple. It is a savory with light sweetness. The food was good with plenty of fresh grilled chicken. I was also pleased to have Woodchuck Amber cider on tap! There is a pool table with one dart board right next to a large 10 top table. If you are coming here to hangout it is recommended as they list themselves as "A Gathering Spot" if you dont mind a large amount of background din. I would not recommend if you are here to have a casual conversation as it would be difficult to listen, unless you are at the small quieter side. Food was good! The cider was cold and the chicken and waffles looked good as did the homemade sloppy joe. Disappointed in the infamous crunchy baby carrots and would come back to sit up front where there is one tv on the wall...not sure about the volume. I am giving them four stars even though it didn't get my expectations a lot of people were there because they want to be there. I wont let that take it to a lower number of stars based on that.

All I had was a beer and the 5 pepper garlic wings but it was amazing! Service was great too.

Great food

Food was delicious and service was excellent. We had the poutine as the appetizer - every part of it was practically perfect. The cheese curds came out whole and as it was sitting on the plate the heat of the gravy caused them to start melting exactly as it should. For the main dish I had the fried chicken "hotdish". This was not my usual sort of order, but I really enjoyed it. I also got the bread pudding for desert which was really good too. My wife got fish and chips which I got to try some and they were some of the best I've had since moving to the US from the UK.

Food is average. We ordered, Cajun dry rub wings/patio burgers/fish and chips and cajun chicken pita. Out of all them the wings were the best and had flavor compared to the rest. The patio burger has no flavor whatsoever and they only toasted one bun and not the other. Otherwise the staff is friendly and the scenery is really open with a bar right in the middle.

Our dinner was decent. My son and I had burgers and fries. It was busy. I was told by a member of the wait staff that they prided themselves on getting customers in and out of the restaurant fast. I had a cocktail that included ginger beer. It was flat and not gingery. They fixed it quickly. I received the bill at the table before we had finished our dinner and before I had tasted the new cocktail (which turned out to be fine). My card was run right then at the table and that was the last I saw of the wait staff. Anyway, the burger was fine and so was the fixed cocktail.

Always a great place to celebrate a Birthday meal with friends and family. The food is always great. I loved the Grilled Barrimundi fish with wild rice and steamed vegetables. I hope you bring that back to your menu soon. It was cooked expertly to perfection.

What a great outdoor space! Shaded in the evening making it cooler. Good atmosphere. The food was above average, but the uniqueness made it a good experience and that is what you want when you are eating out with special friends.

The service was really good. And our food arrived quickly. I had breakfast (meat lovers scramble) and was not impressed! Definitely not worth the money. But my other half had the white cheddar & onion burger and he was pleased...

The poutine was AMAZING. The perfect fries, delicious gravy, cheese curds mixed throughout so you have squeaky on top and melty on bottom. Not super salty or greasy. Absolute heaven!

This place is a gem! The menu is a fun read and nothing on the menu is ordinary. Our server answered our questions easily and with great detail and we each chose a dish that was a little different from our standard faves. We were all very happy with our meals. The pub is very clean and the staff is super friendly. Our server was perfectly attentive and fun to talk to. We look forward to returning to try something else on the menu soon!

Went there before a concert and sat at the bar. Place was pretty busy. Ordered 3 different kinds of wings and chips. Wings overall were good, but 2 of the flavors tasted the same. Food took a long time to come out, but bartenders were really nice and the place was fun.

I’m not a picky person but the honey buffalo chicken sandwich has no flavor whatsoever and it was priced at $17!! The fries were decently good but i couldn’t even enjoy my below average meal because I was being bombarded by four wasps that were surrounding my table and my sister had to kill it with napkins and find the nearest bathroom to flush it😭. If I wanted to be swarmed by wasps I would’ve asked to be sat outside and on top of that flies all around were on me I just felt so grossed with wasps crawling on my straw and flies landing on every bite I tried to take.

Food was great, and although it appeared to be slightly short-staffed , the wait staff were friendly, and the food was served in a timely manner. Nice atmosphere. I stopped in twice and had a Thai bowl and a turkey commercial. Both were great!

If you want good food, this is where you go. Beer selection is great. The food variety is better, in my opinion, than places like NaKato or the Boulder Tap House. This is a place that serves something a little more healthy than the alternatives. I have been in Mankato for a couple weeks now on business. Pub 500 is a place I have visited a few times. The food is what I go back for. The beer selection is good. Sometimes the service and the wait time can be a miss.

Service was alright. Food was almost alright. Got a mac and cheese burger and the mac... It was Kraft mac, seriously. Got pub pickles for my app, the pickles were good, the thicker fries that came with it were still raw and hard. Lots of local MN beers, not much else though.

Ordered an avocado toast breakfast yesterday with the staff from Wooden Spoon and we all thoroughly enjoyed each of our meals. We appreciate this business and all local businesses especially with the friendly service!!!

I have to give props to our waitress last night! We had like 15 people and she was so quick and did really well. We also got our food quite fast despite it being busy! Also the food is delicious. 10/10 would recommend and will be back for the pulled turkey again!

We are from Iowa but were in town for a skating competition. We Googled the top places to eat in Mankato and this was on the list. it was busy as it was a Saturday night and it was extremely loud and hard to hear the person across from you. It is a cool environment and they did have live music later on in the night. But we left before they started. Our server was extremely friendly and great at her job. Appetizers were good. We were told the pineapple chicken was the best thing on the menu and I thought it was mediocre. I would go again though.

Sat at the bar and had great service, the bartender was very attentive to everyones needs on a very busy Saturday night! They even changed one of the TVs to my game, while the rest of the bar watched the Gophers. We had the wings, chicken and veggie bowl, and stuffed avocados- all great! The pepper garlic sauce has a definite kick

Family friendly restaurant. Son wanted the Mac and cheese wedges. He enjoyed them, one he Mac and cheese was inside. I had one to try it they were good. I had the poutine will the bacon, it was delicious. Wife ordered the fish and chips, she also enjoyed them. Hostess and waitress were very kind and service was excellent. Would recommend for a night out with friends, family outing or a casual date.

Really enjoyed the beer selection

It was ok. Food was sort of bland, though decent. The menu left much to be desired unless you're an odd duck gluten-free vegetarian with a group looking for a black bean burger. The atmosphere was nice with a great layout, not-too-bright (or dim) lighting and just enough space between tables to keep your conversations at your own table. Our waitress was pleasant, placed our separate orders accurately and brought our food in a timely fashion, but didn't come back for refills more than once. The parking lot is tiny for such a big place, but there's free parking in the parking garage right next to the restaurant if you don't mind a little walk in the cold, up and down concrete stairs. So... it didn't suck, but it wasn't awesome. It was okay.
