Wow! Picked it because the reviews looked great after moving my younger sister into college at Mankato. We had 7 of us go and it was fantastic. Nothing disappointed from apps to drinks to entrees we couldn’t find anything to complain about. Some items our group didn’t like but the majority did so I have to give 5 star for sure. Server was great… I believe her name was Kayla. P.S. pulled pork sandwich is best I’ve had in a while.

Great restaurant! We had a couple of drinks and burgers. Cheese curd burger, and a triple cheeseburger. It’s was all great and hoping to be back again soon.

I had an arduous workday and wanted the perfect burger. Boulder Tap NAILED IT! Friendly and genuinely cordial servers were prompt and knew my needs before I had to speak them. I went with the french onion burger and wow, they presented a perfectly seared, juicy medium patty with three types of delicious onions and loads of swiss and provolone on a steamy soft bun. These are some of my favorite fries anywhere, ultra crispy, yet forgiving in the best way. With premium fresh pickles and a side of HEATED barbecue, I couldn't be happier. To top it off, they carry two versions of my favorite Downeast cider. When I want a burger, this is the place to go as they pay attention to the small details that matter.

So glad we stumbled on this place on our way through Mankato! Wonderful lunch without a significant rush and with convenient and quick service. A great menu that is quite varied with several options. Quality food and quantity as well. Really nice service, warm atmosphere, clean bathrooms, and a convenient location. I would definitely go back there again as I pass through Mankato. Looks like a good place to bring a date, or your family.

Second time in and super busy, but worth the wait. Endless selection of beers and a tasty chicken avocado sandwich. Also, super patient waitress! Thanks Boulder Tap House!

My family went to Boulder Tap House in Mankato MN on 07/02/22. The server was very pleasant and attentive and the cheese curd appetizer was delish! When I ordered the BROWN SUGAR & SMOKED CHEDDAR BURGER, I told the server I wanted very crisp bacon and that I would send it back if it wasn't crispy. She acknowledged my request. Everything was good and I wish that was the end of the story. But when my meal arrived, the bacon was not crispy so I simply took it off the burger and set it aside. I would have let it go at that, but when the server returned, she saw the bacon on my plate untouched and asked if I wanted to try again. I said, "sure." The photo shows what I got: BLACK BURNT BACON! Yep, the chef's message was very clear, but who got the last laugh? No telling when the chef's gag will turn up on Google Local Guide reviews.

Hubby and I had a fantastic lunch today. We brought more leftovers with us than we ate! The cheese curds are a dream, WOW! Mike was our waiter and excellent! I was picky about my sandwich ( no onions, no mushrooms etc) he got everything exactly right! Definitely will return! 11/8 update, shout out to Hailey, super server! 😁

The service was very good, however the food quality had room for improvement. We had chicken strips that tasted like the fryer oil was slightly burnt and the cheese curds were heavy with oil. Both issues could be improved with fresh fryer oil. I'm thinking this was a one off issue and would definitely try Boulder Tap again. The atmosphere was good and we enjoyed the both the music and variety of programming on many TV throughout the restaurant.

I ordered takeout here through Doordash when I stayed in Mankato for the night. The Boulder taphouse is mediocre at best. my Stout burger didn't have fried onions and it was way overcooked for requesting medium rare. The food was barely warm, the lettuce was all pale and wilted. Food was edible but not good. Wouldn't recommend.

Placed an order for a plain bacon cheeseburger and cheese curds. Firstly the cheese curds were cold and looked like they were transferred from a left-over plate. I ordered a plain burger with cheese and bacon, however there was lettuce and tomato. Also the meat was not medium rare, more so well-done. When I called to inquire the manager didn’t seem to care. Said the cheese curds were cold because of the weather (Given I went to restaurant 5-10mins before pick up time and took a bite within 5 minutes of getting home, the food was not in the 16° weather for more than a minute.) The manager suggested if I wanted to get a plain burger I should write a note saying “no lettuce, tomato or pickles”, well this beats the whole point of “build your burger”, especially since I didn’t add any veggies in the first place. Food definitely was not up to my standards. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Food was very tasty. Wontons yummy and yes were spicy and if you bite into right away hot juice flies out... beware.

I always enjoy going to this place they had one in Moorhead MN so i thought I would try this one. I order the burger fries and a shake. The Shake was delicious made with real strawberries not a syrup. The boneless wings are made from scratch and are breaded with their own style. The spicy Buffalo is not that spicy. Large selection of beer and liquor. Fries were fresh but the burger was a little over done. Definitely recommend this place if you want some bar food and a milk shake.

Nice ambiance,polite and helpful service food is great. I tried chicken wings with salt and vinegar they are really good.

Awesome place for a birthday lunch! Appetizers were great, burger was great, wings were excellent. If you haven't been here yet you have to go and try their food, especially the cheese curds. Absolutely recommend.

I've been wanting to rate this place for quite some time! This establishment is extremely well ran. I can't talk high enough about how great they are. From managers fixing tough situations and making them exceptional to great food from burgers to tacos to wings. If you look at this and you see this review, you really really need to eat here. Thank you Boulder tap for the great service and being a part of our town.

Typically, the food here is awesome. I usually get a salad or the wings. I decided to try a burger today and it was just ok. Not sure if it was just an off day for them or not, but service was very, very slow. Our server was very nice, it just took an extra long time to get our food. Cheese curds are the best here! I would definitely recommend them for an appetizer!

The service was extraordinarily average, but the staff was pleasant enough. The food was pretty good except for the fried pickles, there wasn’t anything necessarily bad about them, but they definitely weren’t good. We went when it was pretty full but the wait time for the food was about 35 minutes. As punishment, I took the waitress’s very nice pen. I only feel a little bad about it.

Worth the ten minute wait for a table. Waitress was energetic. Great atmosphere. The food was really good. Yum to the avacado appetizers

Our server was amazing, the good is fantastic, the atmosphere is chill. Perfect place to decompress after a long stressful day!
