When you’re in Mankato or Madison Lake, do yourself a favor and come here for dinner. The whole time I was here, all the bar, grills and restaurants served nothing put high fat, high cholesterol, awful food. Not a salad or veggie in site. Finally found this place. Thank god. It was awesome. I was with 5 of my friends and we raved the whole time. We ate at the bar, because we didn’t make a res on Saturday night( my bad). Bar tender took great care of us. This place is awesome, fresh food in a sea of boxed Kraft Mac and cheese. No lie, that’s what they serve around here for side dishes. Not Pappageorge’s. They are the really deal

One of my favorite places in town! Never been served a bad meal and Papageorge's service is always top notch. My favorite meal is the Wild Mushroom Ravioli with Filet medallions. The perfect balance of portions and flavor!

And this applies to all the dishes with fries—these were absolutely amazing 🤩 They weren’t from-the-freezer failures, but rather golden brown, crispy, and delightful. I’d eat a basket of ‘em on their own! 😄 Fish and chips were flaky and light. Not too greasy, full of flavor and fried to perfection💯 Paired with such heavenly fries, this was a potently perfect combo. The Pizza was rich with Italian flavors, very cheesy and filling 🧀 If you like olive oil and garlic, you won’t get sick of this appetizer 😁 Great to share… or devour on your own 🤫 Very fair prices, excellent variety, and elegant vibes at this place! I heard about this place for a while, before finally finding it and checking it out myself. "Kind of a weird location" But we've gone twice and really enjoyed ourselves. We weren't that excited about the appetizers, but the main courses and deserts were done well at a fair price. I've recommended friends and family to check it out.

This was our first time at this restaurant and bar. Tammy was our server. She kept our glasses full! We ordered dinner which comes with a basket of some freshly baked bread. It was so nummy! I ordered Fish and Chips, it was good. The place was clean, nicely decorated. The bathroom was clean as well. We received the food in good timing and the place was pretty busy. Reservations are highly recommended, however the couple ahead of us managed to get a table as well. They do have a dessert menu. I included a menu, but not, the menu is perhaps subject to change without notice. All was good!!

Always great food here and reasonably priced. Ben at the bar makes absolutely killer old fashioneds. Beautiful decor and friendly staff. It's perfect for date night or relaxed night. Don't sleep on this place, come get some wine, a cocktail, and have a wonderful dinner.

We're from out of town and saw reviews online so we decided to stop for dinner. Food was very good with generous portions. Restaurant was busy. Reservations recommended. Talked with some locals and had a very enjoyable time. Highly recommend!

Pappageorge Restaurant is a great place to visit when you want to get out of the typical bar/TV/sport scene and have a really, really nice dinner with ambience, and extraordinary food. I had the Shrimp Bisque - and it was literally "to die for." They only serve it every other weekend, so hopefully you choose the right weekend if you're into Shrimp Bisque. I'd call ahead. Reservations weren't needed the night we were there, and it was a Saturday. It was comfortably busy, and the service was impeccable, as was the food. A little tricky to find, but worth the hunt.

Outstanding! Great food, love the Tuesday night chicken parm. Great steaks, nail the temp every time. Excellent value related to price. Awesome staff, very welcoming and attentive. Whenever in the Mankato area, be sure to stop here.

The food is excellent, staff is always friendly. Soloman did an awesome job, even put up with my shortness which truly had nothing to do with him. Drinks(non alcohol) were awesome. You don't want to miss stopping here.

Much better than the out-ofthe-way location and aging clientele would have you believe, this restaurant has some of the best food in Mankato. It is always tasty, regardless of menu. If they had a more central location and an updated interior, they would easily outshine every restaurant in Mankato currently now that Olives has given up ownership. Recommended highly.

Great place! Staff was very friendly and food was amazing, I got the pasta with chicken, the sauce for the pasta was so flavorful and pasta cooked perfectly and deep fried cauliflower. Also tried the battered artichoke, amazing!

Decent place, cute. Great servers! Went for lunch on the weekday was busy. Food was good, felt it was very basic but definitely good to eat. Decided to visit because of the high ratings. Great waiter and waitress! 4 stars because the mozzarella appetizer could have had more pizzazz.

Consistently shows why they are best dining experience. Menu is superb and prepared exceptionally well, atmosphere is intimate and cozy. Service is equally as great as the food. Easily the best dining around!

It's definitely not a country club atmosphere. Jumbo shrimp = average size. Food was good. Service was fine. Cheap string lights hanging around the bar, not sure why, looked tacky.

We found this place in a search and it was highly recommended. We visited for dinner on a Wednesday night. We were asked if we had a reservation, but we didn't need one. We were seated right inside the door, which made conversation a little rough, but it was ok. The menu was really interesting and it was hard to decide what to try. There were several ways to customize your dinner, which we thought was great! I ordered a Greek salad and a side of 4 jumbo shrimp and my wife ordered the London broil that was one of the specials. We both enjoyed our meals. The dining areas have some really interesting art on the walls and the place has a bit of a vintage supper club vibe. It was clean and the staff was friendly and engaging. We will definitely be back to try something different!

Went in the afternoon. Absolutely perfect ribeye. Owner was awesome (Layla) I believe. If you live steak and a great atmosphere this is the place. Mouthwatering steak

Everything was absolutely excellent! The steak was cooked perfectly, the mashed potatoes were delicious, and the bread pudding was out of this world. Definitely try this place! I will definitely come back!

This truly is a hidden gem in Mankato. The fish and chips are very good. The turkey pasta salad is probably the best thing on the menu and it is so light and excellent to eat. The only ding I will give the place is the last time I was there the seafood chowder was a very good chowder just basically void of seafood. Nonetheless, I would suggest this place to anyone who wants to go for a good meal. Great place for an intimate date or a business meeting where you want quiet intimate setting.

Parking was slightly challenging, but the service was good. They got our party off four in quickly. I ordered pork chops. While they looked good, they were dry. The veges were pretty good but need some seasoning. The chops were so dry they were almost unpalatable.

The staff and owner are very friendly. The customer service is top notch and the quality of the food is great. Its a nice cozy little restaurant with a classy atmosphere.

My wife and I have tried this place twice, both times we received the same service. We were made to wait close to an hour for a table despite having made reservations, all the while watching multiple groups who obviously knew the service owners/staff walk in and get seated and served right away. The service did not improve from there. The food was good but overpriced, and definitely not worth the hassle. This place is a good old boys club. They give their friends preferential treatment and treat arms-length patrons like second class citizens. Food, ambiance and reputation only go so far. Service should not be overlooked. Unless you are part of the elected crowd, don’t waste your time. There are plenty of fantastic places around town who actually want your business.

We came during a non-busy time (around 2pm). The service was incredible. The food was so tasty; and it was obvious it was made with care by a very skilled chef. Would definitely come back!
