Went to this zoo today, and it was okay. There is a parking garage, directly next to the zoo as well as parking across the street. We arrived there at 9:20 and I’m not sure if the animals were asleep or moved, but we sure did not see most of the animals listed on the map. The gorillas, kangaroo, bear, cheetah and a few others were not there, at all. (I can’t remember which others but these were the four my kids were excited to see and we didn’t see anything but grass, sticks and dirt.) It is definitely a pretty zoo with many beautiful flowers and trees. I would suggest bringing some euro, since certain spots you can purchase food (like a candy machine) and feed the animals. This my kids absolutely loved!

Grundsätzlich ist der Zoo definitiv einen Besuch wert. Allerdings stört mich der deutlich zu hohe Preis von mittlerweile 14€ pro Erwachsenen. Dafür ist dann auch die sanitäre und gastronomische Qualität nur gerade so akzeptabel. Am Wochenende kann es sehr voll werden, unter der Woche außerhalb der Ferien hat man aber den Zoo praktisch für sich allein.

Most of the animals have spacious, and nicely designed compounds and the Zoo is very much committed to improve the living conditions constantly. On the way through the Zoo there are several playgrounds for children as well as areas to relax. Some snacks are served on the way as well and a nice Café is available close to the entrance/exit. Currently there are some restrictions that from my perspective do not hurt a lot. All indoor areas are closed (incl. elephant house, lion/tiger house,...), but most animals are visible in the outdoor areas. The snack bars on the way are currently closed. The Café and the Zoo shop are open.

This zoo was one of the best I have ever been to! Around the world hands down. The place was very clean (as it could get for animals being everywhere). The exhibits were a good size for all the animals and every one of them was in sight or super active. (We went in March) Highly recommend a visit if you’re in Heidelburg.

This an awesome zoo for the whole family. Its on a flat landscape so its also easy to maneuver in a wheelchair or stroller. Parking can be a little hard to find depending on the time of day. Food and drinks are also widely available at a slightly above average price but still affordable. The zoo is very clean and the animals are very well kept and handled. Lieber Zoo Heidelberg oder besser gesagt, Betreiber des Parkhauses, die 20€ stehen in keinem Verhältnis! Der Zooeintritt ist ja um einiges günstiger und auch sonst hatten wir ja bereits 3 € für das Parkticket gezahlt gehabt! Für uns ein Grund, warum wir den Zoo nicht mehr besuchen werden und auch nicht weiterempfehlen können! Schade, denn grundsätzlich hatte uns der Zoobesuch sehr gefallen gehabt.

Es gibt auffallend viele Vögel in dem Zoo, aber auch andere Tiere, die alle recht große und schön gestaltete Gehege haben. Mein einziger Kritikpunkt ist die fehlende Ausschilderung der Expo Halle, in die wir eigentlich gehen wollten. Da wir aber aufgrund der mangelnden Ausschilderung den Weg nicht gefunden haben und es in dem Moment anfing zu regnen, sind wir dann gegangen ohne uns die Ausstellungsstücke anzuschauen. Im großen und ganzen ist es aber ein sehr schöner und liebevoll angelegter Zoo, der einen Besuch wert ist.

Ein wirklich richtig schöner Zoo mit einer guten Auswahl an verschiedenen Tieren. Gehe normalerweise nicht in Zoos und war positiv überrascht. Auch mit kleinen Kindern gut machbar, weil man auch bei entspanntem gehen den Zoo gut an einem Tag schafft. Dazu sehr gepflegt und mit vielen Spielplätzen. Würde wahrscheinlich nicht alleine herkommen, aber optimal für einen Besuch mit Kindern!

Schöner Zoo. Die meisten Gehege sind natürlich gestaltet. Man bekommt hier teilweise ein Dschungelgefühl. Wenige Gehege müssen noch renoviert werden. Der Zoo hat tolle Spielplätze und Picknickecken für Familien. Bei der Nitztieranlage gibt es tolle Erklärungen für Wissbegierige.

Ein ganz toller, übersichtlicher Zoo. Toll für Familien mit kleinen Kindern und einer der wenigen Zoos, die Hunde erlauben. Super nettes Personal und ein ganz sauberes Gelände. Wir waren schon mehrmals hier und geniessen jeden Besuch. Ein Manko: Die Parplatzsituation! Wir, mit einem Bus, Höhe 1,9m, in ein Parkhaus einfahrthöhe 2,00m und sehr enge Wendepunkte. Vor dem Parkhaus parken die "kleinen" mit 1,5m Abstand zum nächsten Auto! (Dafür kann der Park aber nichts!)

Ein kleiner gemütlicher Zoo, Man sollte sich auf jeden Fall eine Karte vom Eingang mitnehmen, denn die aufgestellten Schilder sind durch die Baustellen nicht mehr so zu folgen. Aber zum Glück sind viele Pfleger da,die einen super nette weiterhelfen. Er ist auf alle Fälle einen Besuch wert.

Sehr schöner Zoo, sehr gepflegte Anlage, tolle Gehege. Viele schöne Möglichkeiten zum verweilen und entspannen. Immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Parkmöglichkeiten sind perfekt, direkt neben dem Eingang.

Wunderschöner, liebevoll gestalteter Zoo. Man kann den Tieren gefühlt sehr nahe kommen und hat fast bei jedem Gehege verschiedene Nischen um aus einem anderen Winkel einen Blick ins Gehege zu werfen. Es geht genug Sitz- und Rastmöglichkeiten und behindertengerechte Zugänge.

Wir hatten einen exklusiven Tag „Tiererlebnis im Raubtierrevier“ gebucht. Hier erlebt man hautnah den Alltag eines Tierpflegers und hat wundervolle und sehr beeindruckende Tierbegegnungen. Die Tierpfleger/innen nehmen sich super viel Zeit und haben uns so viel gezeigt und erklärt , es war einfach nur wundervoll. Mit wieviel Einsatz und Liebe hier gearbeitet wird ist super!!!! Danke nochmals für diesen tollen Tag, speziell an zwei sehr nette Menschen Johanna und Kim!!! Silke und Raimund
