Place looks fancy. Food cost is ok but the portion size is unbelievably small. You will leave hungry even after spending a substantial amount of money. Also, options are less. Food quality is good but that doesn’t compensate for the quantity and rate. Avoid this place if you can.

Surly the best mojito in Erlangen.... Super friendly staff, nice atmosphere, great wine card and food is fantastic... One evening there is kind of small trip to South America...don't wait go and enjoy your journey.

Beautiful restaurant. Delicious food. Great drinks. I was very impressed. The empanadas were delicious and they had a wide variety that, I think, even included a vegan option. My favorite was the Bondigas with the jalapeño y queso being a close second. The ceviche was great. I ordered the maracuja mojito and let me say, it was amazing. I have high standards for mojito because my husband is Cuban and his Abuelo Pipo made the best mojitos, this was almost as good. Very dangerous because they go down so easily.

Excellent and most of all authentic food experience! The interior is obviously hand-selected by the owners, very tasteful, provides a comfortable ambience for dining. A small card with good enough variety of vegetables, meats and fish. Great for larger groups and couples alike.

Everything about this place is great! The decor and ambience are very cozy. The food is yummy, and the service is friendly. It is now one of my favourite restaurants in this area!

Had dinner here, came here without making a reservation and they accommodated us. Not many vegetarian options to choose from. Ordered a vegetarian meal but it was not filling, had to order additional empanadas as a side.

Last night we waited for our food for 40 minutes. After asking one of the waiters about our order and why at least the appetizers haven't arrived yet, he corrected us saying that we were only waiting for 20 minutes. Due to this kind of ill-treatment, we decided to leave the place immediately (after he made us pay for our drinks, of course). We will never go to La Empanaderia again!

We ordered two starters and the empanadas at 19:00 and they brought the drinks, but after 40 minutes not even the starters arrived. We asked one of the waiters about the status of the order since it was 40 minutes after we ordered and no food arrived, and he just replied with a very challenging tone that that is not possible, that then we must have ordered at 19:10-19:20, treating us as liars. This should not be the way how to treat the costumers.

The food is amazing. I had the homemade lemonade and the Rip Eye Steak Menu which included an enpanada, a salad, the Rip Eye Steak and a dulce de leche (caramell milk dessert) all for 47€. It was very tatsy and high in quality. I only give it 4 stars because the steak wasn't completely perfect (still very delicious tho) and I expect a perfect steak for that price. The steak still was of a quality you don't get in your average restaurant just a bit chewy on ~3 bites.

This place was pretty amazing. The food was really tasty and the ambiance really nice. We tried our some cocktails and empanadas and loved it.A shout-out to our server who was so kind and helpful. We will surely go back.

Really great omage to latin food! We went with a big group and shared many different plates from the menu and they all tasted great! Pricing is fair, the staff can be a bit distracted but they are very nice and friendly, the ambience in the restaurant is very cozy and fun. As a latin with picky palate, I can say I will definitely come back.

Loved the food and authentic feeling decorations inside the restaurants. Hearty cheesy vegetarian empenadas available as well as healthy salads with grains. Service was really laid back.

An interesting amalgamation of South American flavors. Strolling back home after a long walk to get to know Erlangen, I bumped into it almost serendipitously. I found the food a very interesting interpretation of traditional dishes from empanadas (pastries) to the mango-ceviche (always confused by the spelling :) with s or c 🤔). Beautifully plated, it's a inspirational trip to an elevated Latino food heaven.

Dedicatedly Latin American restaurant with bits and pieces snuggled in from South European (Portuguese, Spanish) cousine. Our international team's ancestry covered the restaurant's target region fairly well - and it passed the test of authenticity. While the menu is a bold mixture from the continent, whatever we ordered, tasted delicious, well prepared and authentic (according to the ppl coming from those regions). The waiter was helpful (juggling 3 languages while interacting with us) and the meals arrived surprisingly quickly. The price is... midrange: considering the quality it's correct. I've never been to South America, which is a vast continent and probably there are places like this, but the internal architecture was the only part I was less enthusiastic about. I was advised (by my colleagues) not to overestimate the importance of the accompanying sauces, as they were mostly added to comfort the local German taste (=no food without sauce). And apparently it was true: many of them tasted better on their own. Strangely enough, I'm not that keen to return right away, despite everything was well prepared, deliciously cooked and baked, and so on... It gave me the idea though to prepare empanadas on my own and only if I fail, go there to cure my taste buds with their spotless products...

I think this restaurant is a matter of taste. Not my place. Mainly salads on the menu. Salad tastes great but so limited options. Waiters are awesome.

One of our favorite restaurants. They are always super friendly and the food is unbelievably delicious! We love the ceviche, the empanadas, the lomito, the drinks...we love it all!
