A lovely little find. We aren't local, but went before going to the theatre, we booked online and had a quick response. A very warm welcome from staff, food and service was excellent. A small family run restaurant with great food.

Another amazing meal at Brititalia. This was our 4th visit in the last 12 months, I've had a different meal each time and cannot choose a favorite. Romany, the owner and chef was very attentive without being ott. Highly recommended.

Birthday meal out, split a Calzone and Calzone Kiev with my dad. Others had the King Prawns, a pizza etc. All were excellent. We will absolutely be returning. Note: there is no kids menu, they basically make a smaller portion of anything off the adults menu. I thought this was a great idea, offers the best choice of kids meals I've seen in a long time.

We chose the restaurant in a hurry and whilst we enjoyed what we had. I compared it to other Italian places I have eaten at. The drinks were about average price, The food whilst enjoyable was average . I had the Prawns in Chilli and tomato sauce four prawns overpowered by sauce and chilli . We ordered bread an olive oil with balsamic and the ratio of oil to balsamic was poor and the bread was just like a daily supermarket loaf with crusts cut off when I would have expected an Italian bread at least. I chose the Calzone Kiev and there was far from enough filling and over powered by the thick dough, my wife had the garlic mushroom starter and this was pretty average but the sauce was nice, All in all a very nice average meal but overpriced for what we received. I expected a lot more from a town centre Italian restaurant . I need a great deal of persuading to go back .

Excellent food and awesome service. The kids loved it and were allowed to order off menu. This restaurant is an amazing local business, I will definitely be returning.

If you are in Mansfield and don't try this place you are missing out! Fantastic food, very friendly staff, excellent evening, good prices. Try it out, thank me later..

The two staff were helpful and interested in making our experience enjoyable. Food had depth and flavour. Sizable restaurant with a decent atmosphere; clean toilets. I will go back for food again.

What a fantastic restaurant. We have been out with friends and had a great night. The food in exceptional, cooked in front of you by the owner. The girls serving are amazing and nothing is too much trouble for them. We have been a couple of times now and we will be back in the very near future. Brilliant evening Shukran gazelan.x

We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and we ticked it off tonight. We were looked after beautifully. They balanced being present without being intrusive. I can honestly say this was the best we've been looked after in many a year. I'm coeliac, normally this causes problems. However, the team couldn't have been more helpful or knowledgeable. I had my first carbonara in years and it was delicious. He had the calzone Kiev and is already planning his next visit. My son had the muscles and thoroughly enjoyed them. Basically this a family run restaurant who cares about it's service and food. We'll be back.

Superb food and service by Romaney and his daughters. Excellent choice to celebrate my wife's birthday. Looking forward to next visit.

Food was awful, ‘homemade bread’ for starters was defiantly a loaf of bread cut into squares from Tesco! Which we had to wait 20 minutes for. What a joke - we had carbonara, the sauce was so watery, the ‘pancetta’ was bacon shoved in the corner of the bowl and it was overpowered by garlic that’s all you could taste nothing else! Just not a carbonara at all!! The chef offered to change it but the food was so disappointing I didn’t want to eat anything else! Asked for the bill and the carbonara was still on there! as a chef/owner knowing the food was hardly eaten you expect it to be removed from the bill - we had to argue back about it being removed!

Very nice place frist time beening there I would recommend the pizza delicious and other dishes can't go wrong give it a try

Had a great meal here with family before heading to the Panto. Staff knew we were on a schedule and were very attentive. Food fantastic and very reasonably priced. Looking forward to visiting again when I can try starters and puddings too!

Best Italian food we had in Mansfield. I love Italian cuisine, I've been in Italy many times, I always go to Italian restaurants when in new places, so this one was one of the best I've ever had. Service was also great: very nice and not in any way intrusive. Absolutely great!

I was a little let down after reading all the 5 star reviews...We had the breads to start, very average thick sliced bread with not enough olive oil dip.I had the ravioli lobster for main very tasty although I feel the portion was rather small.Over £70 for two of us i was expecting better.For me what let it down was the lack of atmosphere. Better Italians out there

Went for a meal on Saturday whilst on holiday. The food was 10 out of 10 the staff were very attentive and the chef came over to introduce himself personally, a very lovely gesture and was much appreciated. Thank you!

Been here 3 times now, service and food always lovely. It a great little Italian with the classics, I like that the owner/chef still comes around and asks how things are, today we were treated to lemon chello shots at the end, nice touch

Lovely food and atmosphere but service a bit slow making it a bit of a rush for a pee theatre meal. They catered for gluten free very well.

We were recommended to try here by a friend. Very tentative staff, cosy restaurant, perfectly located for a pre theatre meal. Food was delicious.
