Decent sized "spoons" with obligatory upstairs toilets. Breakfasts I'd say are very good and would recommend. However had a burger from the lunch menu and to be honest I'd rather have had a McDonald's. Price wise it's okay value. Renowned for the paltry chip count and I'd have to agree.. Service is good and unlimited coffee refills on the breakfast menu.

Ordered a lasagne & wings as a side from the app. Both tasted great, staff were pleasant. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I’ve been here every week for the last six or seven months. Doesn’t disappoint. Good staff, good food and good drinks. Feels like my second home sometimes.

Not a bad spoons, certainly in the top half of the table of the best spoons in Notts. Large screen and smaller screen, maybe others for watching sport. Good atmosphere due to thr interior layout and plenty of folk enjoying food. The only negative is the TOTAL LACK OF STAFF. One serving at the bar and one bringing food out (Sunday 31.07.22)

Here we go again (sigh) came here this morning for 2 breakfasts, 1 cider and a coffee. First, coffee machine gave black coffee when I selected white coffee, OK, no big deal, easily rectified. Next the breakfasts arrived, late might I add. My brothers breakfast was missing beans, mushroom and we had no butter for the toast. 1 slice of my toast wasn't toasted and was just soft bread and one of my hash browns (which I left) had a finger hole in it, I guess to test to see if it was warm. I signalled the waitress who said she would resolve it, she brought beans across. No mushroom, no toast. And to think we're paying for this garbage service. There is a reason establishments like this are "cheap" if you can call 20 quid for 2 breakfasts cheap. Vote with ya feet and go elsewhere, unless you like rubbish service then come on in and grab a seat.

Nice pub good service, nice tasty food cheap drinks and some good offers on drinks during the Summer.

Food was lovely. That gave the 1 star. Had an American Pancakes breakfast and was perfect! However, the attitude and professionalism of the staff is disgusting! Waitress served my friends food in a crop top with long hair hanging down everywhere. She carried plates out with her bare skin (stomach under her chest) touching the food. When my friend politely mentioned this to the manager, he chose to argue with my friend before getting her a fresh egg which he then practically threw at my friend. Him and the waitress then decided to stare at us talking and laughing at us behind our backs. Thankfully we are just visiting on our way home and won't have to return here again.

Went for breakfast which is normally extremely good, not today, bacon was cremated , had to ask for toast , as not arrived with meal, service was no way near as fluid as previously experienced. Cannot even blame service as was busy, (which has never created a problem,)there were not many customers. Disappointed

It's all good at witherspoon. Beer and food combined . I went for half a chicken with rice and partner had mix grill. Wasn't dry or tasteless. Went down a treat

Considering the price of the food is fairly cheap in comparison to rival pubs, the food is actually good depending on what your order. I usually go for either the burgers or the full English. The pizzas I’m told are freshly made and they’re ok. Despite how good the food is, the atmosphere is dreadful and too dark and unwelcoming but if you can put that to one side, you’ll enjoy the food here.

Quite busy today but is expected seen as we are in the holiday season. Ordered the ultimate burger and a side portion of cheesey garlic pizza. Food came out really warm and quick, managed to get a seat too considering how busy it was. Food was great for the money, didn't get bothered asking if our food was good half way through a mouthful and atmosphere was great. Will definitely come back again.

Very busy ales were superb proper queuing system in place even if it was a bit tight..needs more light at the bar..couldnt even read the pump clips...thankfully there is a board on the bar with the pump names..not bad at all

It's not a place I usually use but I was looking for a pub to watch the tennis. The manager was brilliant and changed the chanel for us. There was a good selection of beer

Great place when we visited at lunchtime on a Saturday. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was overall good although I felt that the Heatwave burger had no level of spiciness at all. Overall a great Wetherspoons.

Its a bit dark and gloomy. Music during the day is okay.louder at night I expect. Food usually okay,this week had special offer different option. Really good !! More places could follow and offer something a bit different. Not 5 stars as toilets could be better. Staff okay.

This establishment is very grand in appearance with an impressive looking island bar. It keeps it's old style atmosphere whilst still looking very fresh. It serves a great breakfast and refillable coffee or other hot drinks. I tried the English and American Breakfast options and they taste great. Order from your table and just sit and wait. It doesn't take long at all to be served. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast, lunch or even a night out which is where is DJ booth comes into use. Great work all round

One star is too many. This is the 4th visit to which now I'm sending a complaint to head office. One of the staff(chelsea) made our visit one of the worse and when spoke to manager he was as bad . Food is cold and on this occasion a notice said no eggs ! I asked her if this was correct as I didnt want 4hash browns as stated.she lied and said 2eggs as per menu. Her miserable unfriendly demeanour was the last straw . When the food came and no eggs .I complained as I had specifically asked about this.She lied in front of manager and said I said hash browns . After words were exchanged I demanded refund and manager attitude just as bad . Their bad attitude has put me off now for good and we come away disappointed. They are the worse staff I've met

Good food, big menu and the staff are alright. Food and alcohol is served and the atmosphere is very casual and it is always busy. The prices are very good and the quality of everything I'd very good. It's a nice place to go with friends but I wouldn't take a date there. TL;DR: Friends not dates but good food and prices

Used to enjoy going in here for something to eat. However don't think we will use it again poor quality food. Full of people on pints which is fine but not at 11 on the morning

Popped in for lunch, ordered from the table, little bit of a wait but great service. It was a Thursday lunchtime and we couldn't get over how full it was! Noticed the tables around us had wrong food orders, wrong peas, wrong side orders but the waitress soon changed it. One portion was surpringly small, pie and mash. It was all spread out on the plate to make it look like a larger portion I think but it was tiny! Scampi great, veggie sausage good portion size and chilli bean jacket potato was ok too. Didn't know they did breakfast either. Took photos as they don't put menu prices online - presumably because they charge regional prices?

Pleasant on entry, airy, spacious, nice atmosphere, excellent selection of beers, wines and spirits, obliging staff. The food is good, served promptly, not at all expensive and served till late. Comfortable seating whether high stools, dining chairs at tables or side booths. It's my go-to place.

Went in for a light snack and a glass of Coke before a concert across the road in The Palace Theatre. Nice clean tables, smiling, courteous staff, I had the Tomato & Basil soup with bread, my friend had a Jacket Potato. Both tasted lovely. A spacious eating pub with fair prices!

Always delicious food at a great price, lovely atmosphere, clean, friendly Staff.

Omg worse whetherspoon experience ever where food concerned..my gourmet steak 👎dry crust on mash..peas cold..first three bits of steak chewy...mushroom one cooked other not...my partner had best...BBQ chicken melt with chips. Staff friendly polite but no idea what was going on in the kitchen...dont waste your money here for food...sorry to say.
