This is my first time back here, and I am so glad we came back. The pub is lovely and the service was quick, The food choices are really good and they have plenty of deals on. Our food came out quickly and tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend this place.

Nice pub, good location, friendly staff, food came in a timely manner, Puddings were lovely. Only negative missing onion rings from hunters chicken but check back done when we were nearly finished so to late to mention. Would come again.

We have often driven past this pub but for a treat decided to take the children for a drink after school. We met some more family who joined us & the staff were so lovely & helpful we ended up staying for dinner. There were lots of good offers on too - we went for the curry & drink £10.95 highly recommend. Ash and team were fab

Would never return again! The kitchen is never open, think it’s had the same sign up now for weeks. Fridges are bare with lack of drink options. The place looks dirty from outside to inside. Real ale options have gone down the pan. And who is the new manager? They are never ever around to be seen. Absolutely appalling. This needs changing asap. Was far better when Jo was running it. Shame he left.

The pub was clean an inviting. There were not many people in the pub. Upon looking for a table, there were a few at the back that still had used plates and food. The bar staff were courteous. The food took an hour to be served, after I reminded them after 40 minutes. The plates were then missing an egg from one, missing tartar sauce and had an unwanted mushroom on the other. The egg was then supplied after the issue was raised. Someone should be roaming the pub on a regular basis to check on what needed to be done. The food service needs drastic improvement.

I called in for a lunch that I had booked for 12 noon. I got there about half an hour early due to the buses and was told that food couldn't be served till 12. There had been no indication of this online. I waited and eventually asked if I could place the order before 12. I did and started my meal at 11.50. I started with the sharers portion of loaded fries. Better than the usual loaded fries, these were topped with pulled pork and bbq sauce. I forgot to get a photo of the prawn cocktail that I finished with. A very tidy substitute for the meal I had originally planned to have today a long way from The Rushley.

The staff are very welcoming. The atmosphere was nice, staff are friendly. Food and drinks were reasonably priced. My partner had a chicken tikka and I had a mega mixed grill. We both loved our meals and will definitely be coming again.

Christmas comes early at The Rushley....Julie is the Queen of Christmas decorations, the tree is outstanding. Ash (my treacle) served me the perfect pint and a smile as always. I'm not eating tonight but the food coming out of the kitchen looks fab. Nice atmosphere and gearing up for a great Festive Season.

Lovely food and bargain lunch deal, great music and good service. We had the gammon and hunters chicken which were lovely and then chocolate fudge cake and jam sponge which were so sweet, just what we needed! We were serviced by Tracey who was great, very attentive and friendly. Would definitely return.

Rachel took the order, large and a little complicated which was delt with nicely. She also served it. Only down side fries on one of the kids meals was a little cold. Food nice with nothing missing. Owen check if all was good midway through the meal.

We had a meal to celebrate my parents 65th wedding anniversary with the family. Food was excellent & Alex & Ash looked after us so well, they we're lovely & did me a Christmas pudding with brandy sauce even though it wasn't on the menu that night 👍

Had a great time. There was only two people working the bar and waiting tables which must have been so difficult for them. There was a wait on some food but this was expected. Due to the circumstances they did a fantastic job. Well done them two

Booked for a family get together on New Years Day. Food was excellent, good quality and excellent choice on offer as well as specials on the day. The staff were brilliant, we had a few issues with the app so the staff helped and ensured we all got what we wanted. Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The prices were better than other similar quality restaurants in the area.

Came this evening with a friend and we was both really impressed with the food and service, even though it was rather busy, the food was served super fast. Burgers was just amazing! And a very polite chatty server I didn't catch her name unfortunately (red Xmas jumper in high spirits) even though she was busy with having her family in also, she took the time out to have a chat with us, and made us feel very welcome! we will definitely be returning! 🙂

I can thoroughly recommend going to The Rushley. I work with young adults who have special educational and physical needs. We took two groups out for a drink, to practice money and safety skills. I was honestly so touched by how supportive Ash (bar staff) was. Despite being extremely busy and the only person behind the bar, he never rushed any of us. He showed such kindness and patience and my students had a blast. One of them went away saying that the best part was when Ash gave them their hot chocolate and responded so enthusiastically to a high five. He really made the whole day and we (as staff) all commented on his friendly, supportive and welcoming customer service. Many of the students have asked to go back and that just shows that they felt comfortable, safe and happy. Ash, you were a really big part of creating that environment. P.S. I have been to The Rushley and been served by Ash before (socially - not with students) and he was truly such a nice guy then too. High praise and high fives all around. :)

A huge community pub with many discrete areas, pleasant staff and reasonably tasty food. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Very fairly priced.

This is a lovely pub. Very clean and welcoming. Staff are polite and helpful. Food is of great quality and large portion sizes! A large pub with a really good sized private function room. Outside space is large too with seating and tables, just right for the sunny weather; and just because you are outside doesn't mean you are forgotten as the staff come and keep the area clean and make sure you are ok which is great!

Enjoyed a couple of drinks here during the week with a few friends. Opted for fish and chips which was very prompt and arrived hot. Service was great and both Sammy and Ash were welcoming and attentive. Highly recommended!

Good atmosphere and friendly. As part of a party, food was ordered individually, it arrived an hour later, with some even longer! A busy Saturday evening with not enough staff both serving and cooking food. Food was mainly good, but not for everyone. A good place to go for a meal, but just a matter of The Rushley getting their act together really with more staff when needed.

Funeral buffet absolutely disgusting, sandwich dried up, think they were prepared hours previous, pork pie dry and tasted on the turn, had to remind staff that we were actually there even though booking time was specified. Very poor customer service. Would not recommend

We booked a room and a buffet for 50 people for a funeral. Everything was perfect. The food was a really high standard. I would highly recommend. The staff were lovely and so helpful. Thankyou to you all.

Would not recommend. 45 minutes to get a starter when the table next to us, which also happened to be the only other table in the pub, got their main meal before us and ordered after. Staff were rude and didn't even spare the time to listen to us. Just brushed us off as they walked past. When the starters did come they were missing garnishes and sauces. We left before the mains came as we had been there for almost an hour. Can understand when it's busy but not when the place is pretty much empty.

At short notice you organised a buffet to follow a service for my Mum at the Crematorium. The food was ready on our arrival hot and tasty. We were treated with respect and given a private area away from the main pub. The greatest compliment is that just about everything was eaten and the family were delighted.

We have to say the food here has improved drastically. The menue is fun and has some great items on it. The ultimate burgers could feed a whole village, they are that big. The taste and presentation not the food is brilliant. Also the prices are extremely reasonable given how much food you end up with. Excellent portion size, tasty food, great price. Clean toilets, outdoor play area and plenty of parking. We highly recommend coming here for a family meal 😋

Ash is a lovely barman with an unusual sense of humour. He never fails to make us laugh whether that’s with him, or at him. No need to pay for entertainment elsewhere, as he provides it free of charge, making our local very lively any day of the week.
