HORRIBLE customer service. This is the service industry the number one priority should be the customer. I’ve been a customer of Mar for 2 years and throughout had customer services issues with her. I was 6 minutes late before she canceled and charged me she didn’t even try to reschedule or anything. I respect her business so didn’t make a big issue and continued going to her. There was a time she was 10mins late to my appointment. No text/call I just waited for her. No sorry I was late or anything but expect customers to follow her policy. this last visit was the final straw. I made an appointment for SATURDAY and then I get a notification it was canceled for a no show. How is it a no show if it isn’t Saturday yet?? She made the appointment for Wednesday instead. I never make weekday appointments bc I work. I text Mar no response nothing. This was clearly a misunderstanding that could have been resolved she did not care. Never responded to my text. To new customers I advise if you are booking online after your appointment please make sure you book it yourself and not Mar she has a tendency to book the wrong dates then charges you when you don’t show.

Mar does a great job at making you feel comfortable and confident! When I first started seeing her, I was really self-conscious and worried she would treat me differently as a larger woman, but she was very professional. I had nothing to worry about! Now my only regret is not having started to do this sooner for myself. I highly recommend Beauty Effect!

I’ve been going to Mar (the owner) for about 2 years now and I have gotten wonderful results. She is a very friendly and experienced lady that gets you in and out quick (less than 15min) and leaves you with a great job. She makes you feel comfortable during the appointment. I recommend getting the vajacial as it will leave your skin super smooth. I will say that every time I get a sugaring wax, I leave feeling more confident.

I tried sugaring in LA and immediately made the switch from waxing. After my first appointment in Cali I had to move back to Texas for a temporary job position. It was much more challenging to find people who practice sugaring in Texas simply because the demand isn't as high (yet)! I was initially wary to visit Marcela b/c of the few negative reviews, but having been to her my whole time here I haven't experienced any of what the bad reviews mentioned! She's educational, friendly, and (best of all) sanitary! I encourage potential visitors to make an appointment and judge her service for yourself.

Mar has the best service and is very knowledgeable. She will give you tips on how to organically keep your skin in the best shape. Best wax experience ever.

I’ve been coming here for 2 years now consistently to get Brazilian waxes & she is by far the nicest lady. She works really fast & is very organized & clean. I have been going to Mar for several months now and I wish I could have found her sooner. I was very nervous my very 1st time but Mar made it so easy to feel comfortable and at ease. She is extremely professional and her suite is very clean. I drive an hour plus each month and it’s so worth it.
