For the money, you can definitely find something better. PROS: Good buffet breakfast Good ocean view Mostly friendly staff CONS: Beach in front is NOT a beach, there is too much rock and impossible to swim in the ocean. Location is not great. Charge for all things they possibly can (plastic card to enter parking lot ($6), glass of milk ($2), charge for bringing a little dog ($20 per day)). Pool was COLD. Not enough sun umbrellas, being in the pool area was almost impossible without one and they are taken since the morning. Only one keycard per room (doesn´t matter if it’s a room for 4). Only one towel per person (we asked for more and they couldn’t give us). There was not hot water one whole morning. Summary: This hotel is FAR from 5 stars; I recommend finding another place for the same price!

Very Nice hotel lobby, comfortable stay but rooms not as elegant as the entrance. Breakfast is really good, coffee is great. No refrigerators unless you leave a card on file for them to charge, due to the refrigerator being filled with drinks. No microwaves in the rooms. Near clubs and local hang out but noise was not a problem for me. Great views of the beach. Beautiful infinity pool, but not heated. Updating this review as I stayed at another local hotel on my way back through with the same rates and Mantahost was definitely a much better stay. Cleaner rooms, more elegant hotel overall with more to do. Pool table and recreation area in the lobby. REAL ocean views. Friendly staff....

Great property and service. Former Howard Johnson, rebranded but kept very good quality: personnel, restaurant, rooms, pool, etc. Rooms are nice and comfortable, style similar to a Four Points or Courtyard, not equivalent to US 5-star rating but upscale anyways considering it is a beach hotel. Good parking lot area with private security. Lobby is in great shape, spacious design and nicely decorated. Bell boys ready to help. A balcony at this level has beautiful ocean view and infinity-pool view. The restaurant is at same level and had very good menu. Breakfast buffet was outstanding, lots of choices. Since the area has no actual beach, just rocky area in low tide, there is a sand area next to the pool where kids can play and adults sunbathe. From there, you can access the 'beach' for a stroll. Kids like playing at the rocks anyways, small ponds form in low tide.

Beautiful location, outstanding service, and comfortable rooms. The food at the restaurant is amazing! They have an awesome breakfast buffet that features an assortment of local cuisine, eggs to order, natural fresh juices, fruits, salads, pastries, and much more. Great place to stay!!

A very nice and good hotel (I would say a correct 4* internationaly speaking) with great with views of the ocean and well located

It is the perfect holiday destination with family and friends at the immediate edge of Pacific ocean. Clean and friendly environment with nice cuisines. Awesome sit out facilities at the swimming pool and other places with sea view. Nice recreating activities such as snookers, table tennis, etc. and play zone for kids activities. Overall it is an excellent holiday place, and I was there twice with my family, they enjoyed it.

1. Didn't have price for the beer so couldn't sell me. 2. Didn't have blender, their only one broke. No cocktails. 3. Didn't have ingredients for wiskey sour 4. Didn't serve mashed potatoes like on the menu. 5. Didn't serve pepper sauce. Only red fruit sauce. This sauce was 100% sugar water. 6. Wine was awful. Really. 7. Steak overcooked and chicken tasteless 8. Tripping over broken power outlets on the floor around the pool table 9. Didn't give the complimentary room they promised came with the event booking. Verbal agreement not honored since wasn't in the paper contract in the end. 10. Desert served with a spoon too big to enter the tiny shot glass with tasteless (tiny bit of sour) cream. Cake was dried out on the sides, on menu as 'mojado'. Choco mousse tasted like whipped cream. 11. All the soft drinks served through the entire night were without ANY gas in them. They probably prepared those hours and hours before. Positive points: view, ambiance, location, decoration all great And the fact they were actually open (other hotels didn't accept any small event reservations yet. Price acceptable but with a tiny bit more effort at least you can serve cola with 1 bubble in it.

THIS HOTEL IS LOADED WITH OVER 30 CELL PHONE MASTS! YOUR BRAIN WILL BE NUKED BY THE END OF YOUR STAY! THE CELL PHONE TOWERS ARE BODY-HEIGHT ON THE OCEAN FRONT OF THE BUILDING. TERRIBLE FOR YOUR HEALTH!

Not a good hotel ! I have no idea why they are 5 star hotel ! On breakfast time we were waiting for 20 min for the table , because it was too many people and no one enough tables and I am pregnant ! Was very unhappy ! Rooms not updated , bathrooms marking weird noise ! Don’t recommend this hotel !!!!

When I go to Manta, this hotel is one of my favorite options, nice place but what I love the most it’s the pool with that beautiful ocean view. It’s a quiet and relaxing. Highly recommended. Also the rooms are very nice and the service is excellent.
