Hotel Ramachandra Coonoor

I had breakfast at Hotel Ramachandra in Coonoor and it was a wonderful experience. The pongal was soft, flavorful, and comforting — perfectly spiced and served hot. The kesaribath was delicious with just the right sweetness and a lovely aroma. The pooris were light, fluffy, and paired well with the side dishes. To complete the meal, the tea was fresh and refreshing. The food quality was excellent, the portions generous, and the service warm and quick. A perfect spot to enjoy a traditional South Indian breakfast in Coonoor. Highly recommended! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Tried the mutton biryani with egg and it was flavorful, well-cooked, and satisfying. The spices were just right, and the portion was decent. A great option if you're craving a hearty non-veg meal in Coonoor.

In the heart of the coonoor market, lovely place for a quick lunch. We went in slightly off lunch house, we had a veg biryani, mutton biryani, chicken starter and the afghani naan. Except for the naan the rest for ok. They even. Started us off with some spicy chicken soup which was spicy but nice

Best garlic chicken i had in my life. Repeat ordered. Have waited 35 minutes to get a table upstairs that too in weekend & luckly got a nice waiter who helped us in ordering.

They’ve been around for quite a long time, which shows, but maintaining standards takes effort. The food and service were average at best. The washroom and handwash area definitely need better upkeep. Overall, not a must-visit spot in Coonoor.

A Traditional restaurant in Conoor. The advantage is their dedicated parking which is quite difficult to find in conoor. Food is excellent . Good ambience and service. Its bit crowded in the peak hours. We were served by Banu who was exceptional and outstanding in her way she takes order and serve her customer. Very committed and dedicated staff.

We went to the restaurant to try their famous Wellington parotta. It was good. Although I would really appreciate if they can maintain the hygiene level of the restaurant and restroom.

This is a spacious establishment with plenty of seating, which is great when you're visiting with family or a larger group. It's a non-vegetarian restaurant with a good variety of options on the menu. From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent - the staff were not only efficient but genuinely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was delicious across the board. Everything we ordered was flavorful and well-prepared. But the absolute star of the meal was the caramel custard - it was simply ultimate! Silky smooth texture, perfect sweetness, and that rich caramel flavor... honestly one of the best I've had. If you're in Coonoor and looking for a reliable non-veg restaurant with good food, warm hospitality, and a comfortable atmosphere, Rama Chandra is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Had lunch here with friends since it's a popular place in Coonoor. It was not worth the hype based on what we had. Wellington Parotta their famous dish was not so great. Taste of mutton was less and more of sweet. The veg meals was like other ordinary place. Mutton fry was disappointing and only garlic chicken was good. The best was of course the complimentary hot chicken soup they serve. Overall not a good experience.

Must-try spot for non-veg lovers! 😋 The mutton biryani was flavorful, garlic chicken and podi chicken were absolutely lit 🔥, but the star was the Wellington parotta stuffed with juicy mutton kheema – just wow! 😍 Good taste, decent price – highly recommended!

This lovely old restaurant located right opposite the Coonoor market serves heart Ghee podi roast doas, kuthu porattas, caramel custard, tea. We were served by Mahesh who helped us pick the right dishes. Hygienic and delicious food

Worst experience. chicken starters - Garlic chicken is chicken 65 coated with ginger garlic raw paste, that is full of flour. No chicken found. Spoiled egg found in the Briyani. Only thing chicken fried rice is good. This restaurant is famous in social media and other sources. But food Experience is bad.

Everything is absolutely mind blowing. Their special mutton parotta, biryani, and desserts are a must try. Soman anna took care of us in the most special way, and suggested some delicacies, the kind I’ve never had - bread halwa and caramel custard !! Must visit !🫶🏼

We have visited Ramachandra hotel on Dec 2025 and ordered Wellington porotta which was worth a try. But was totally disappointed with the mutton biriyani which was costly but came with only 2 bone pieces of mutton and when we asked the supplier he told us it comes with 2 pieces which we did not find in the biriyani. The flavour was good but considering the cost we did not get mutton. Overall it was average. The place is crowded and the service is also very average.

Really enjoyed dining at Ramachandra Hotel. The place felt warm and welcoming, and Darshan took great care of us with a smile. His service was quick and thoughtful. he made our meal even better! Would love to come back!
