The food at Steak out was ok not the best but, not the worst. The pizza cheese steak was just ok, they don't generally toast it like a real pizza steak should have been done, but they did at my request.. The regular cheese steak sub was very tasty. The buffalo chicken egg rolls were the best thing we ordered. The bacon cheese fries were ok bc we don't like whiz cheese we prefer mozzarella cheese. The portion sizes were very generous and we love getting our money's worth, especially when everything is so expensive. Our bill came to $68 bucks including tip for 2 cheese steaks 1 order of fries and buffalo chicken egg rolls. We will give them another try. The Server was great!

First time here and let me tell you....Excellen-tay!!! From the wait staff to food. Wonderful, friendly, tasty, and plentiful. The basket of shoe peg fries- delicious. The Strak Out Cheesteak with added sweet peppers - delicious! I washed it down with a Cherry Pepsi (which a lot of restaurants do not have). If you are ever in the area, stop by Steak Out in Sewell, NJ.

Pathetic. Ordered a whole salami and cheese hoagie. Yes, that right, check out the pictures, salami almost non existent. I’m talking maybe 4 thin slices of salami. Took one byte, threw the whole thing out. I’ve lived in south Jersey almost 4 years now. By far, the worst representation of a sandwich. I went there because of the positive reviews. Won’t ever go back. If I could give it a negative 1 I would. What a waste of $21.

Jersey girl here who misses real cheesesteaks because I live in Florida now. I was craving a cheesesteak when I got home… I wanted to try a new place. This is the most awfully dry cheesesteak I’ve ever had in my life. There was barely any cheese on this thing but packed with meat. Was the meat reheated in the microwave? Maybe if they fill less meat and added more cheese it would have tasted a little better? I also ordered a pizza… it was okay…. A little on the small side for a large. It was also pricey! Ps-I saw a review about comparing this place to pats and geno’s… this was clearly a family member because pats and genos shouldn’t be in the same sentence with steak out; and pats and Geno’s aren’t even that great. Save yourself!

This is Daddy's big boy. Like the country song says; (sidebar - I loved the country decor) I can already see my big boy taking his team to the State Championship. I paid the extra $0.50 for the seeded roll. It was well worth it. I got the Steak Out special. It included the marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, peppers, mushrooms and fried onions. You can see in the video that the roll eventually gave way to the marinara. I would normally rip the roll for this. But I was taking a lot of pictures and held it up in the air for a long time. This is not ideal but understandable for the situation. The cheese looks good melted on top but I prefer it mixed in. I do like that it spent some time in an oven melting the cheese and getting a good little toast on the roll. Plenty of tables, nice little place and an overall very good experience.

It pains me to write this! We used to get cheesesteaks here all the time, but the last few, over the last two months or so, have been “peppery” for lack of a better way to put it. They have a spicy zip now that they didn’t used too & I can no longer eat them. I did try to address this but got blown off & shut down pretty fast . Bottom line is the steaks definitely are not the same! Please go back to whatever you used to do! Three stars cause the place is still decent IMO, the staff is mostly nice & orders were always accurate, they’re one of the few businesses that doesn’t add fees to take out orders & card transactions (yet anyway)

This is a $15 cheeseburger cooked "medium." It was as dry as cardboard with the thinnest layer of cheese you could possibly slice. FIFTEEN DOLLARS! I judge most places by how well they can make a cheeseburger. I feel it's something anyone with decent ingredients who can even remotely cook can make decently. This was comically bad. McDonalds is better than this.

Tried this place again recently. If you like a lot and I do mean a lot of meat on your cheesesteak this indeed is the place for you. It wasn't bad but a little too much meat for me. I also had the mega fries (cheese and bacon) they were good but the bacon and cheese wiz made it a bit salty. I do love the ambience of the place and the staff was very warm and friendly.

Very disappointed in this place. Chicken cheesesteak was dry and had zero seasoning. Cheese was on roll and not mixed in with the steak. Chicken Caesar wrap was filled with some type of flavorless chicken. Fries were Ok but needed salt. Overall bad experience.

Cheesesteaks are packed with meat, very delicious. Idk what type of bacon they use but it’s very fresh and flavorful. Chicken cordon blue pizza is definitely worth trying as well, I personally love it. Good local place for a good cheesesteak

Great steaks. I ordered the cheese steak with onions and sweet peppers. The first thing I noticed was that the steak was very fresh tasting. You could taste the ribeye in it. A lot of steak places use lower quality ribeye, which tastes like cardboard. This had a very good taste. The service was prompt and I may come back again to try some of their other menu options.

Order a steak onion and pepper stromboli, chicken finger platter and an order of chipotle aioli fries. What i got was a steak onion and pepper calzone, it was good either way, but not correct. The chicken fingers were not fingers, but chicken arms. They took chicken cutlets, sliced them and fried them which lead to sides not being breaded and being overly dried out. It also came with a weird tiny cup of what i can assume was pasta salad. The chipotle fries were decent, but not what i expected, little to no sauce on them.

Great sandwiches both the chicken/steak sandwiches with cheese were great... large portion for sharing or just needing to fill your belly. Side of fries was also good, nice portion of crispy thin cut fries.

Absolutely hands down the best place for a cheese steak or chicken cheese steak!!! We have been going here for a long time and never were disappointed! Quality and quantity at its finest! Thank you Steak Out!!

Very good food, service, and atmosphere. But 14$+ for a pizza steak is the most I ever paid, anywhere. Granted, the steak was plentiful. Enough for two sandwiches. But I'd rather have enough meat for one sandwich and pay accordingly. They should offer two versions; regular and oversized.

I ordered a mushroom cheese steak with fried onions to go. I live 5 minutes away. I was very disappointed! The roll wasn't cut properly, and it was soggy from all the steak....maybe 5 pieces of mushroom, and same with onions. Sorry, but I'm going back to All about the crust!!!!!

Great place in town portions are huge and a great selection of drinks! Staff are always pleasant. They used to have ostrich and Bison. Really conveniently located when other hungry folks want chicken nuggets and you don't.

Just discovered this place via Google map search and what a find! We all got a whiz cheesesteak w/fried onions. I can usually house an entire cheesesteak, but there was so much steak that I could only eat half of the 10" sandwich! We shared a basket of fries as well, which were crisp and delicious. I'm already looking forward to coming back here for another cheesesteak

Early start did not want breakfast, was told anything on the menu was available. Tried the Hot sausage with peppers and onions was outstanding. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Enjoyed a Philly cheesesteak with onions and peppers. Excellent! Steak was perfectly prepared and tender, I hardly needed to chew it. Just enough peppers, onions and melted cheese without overwhelming the taste of the steak. Next time I get a cheesesteak craving, this is my go-to place.

Usually this place is good. Steaks great. Pizza is good. I got the chicken fingers and they literally belong in Weird NJ. They are the most off putting and creepiest attempt at chicken fingers I have ever had the displeasure. They were half breaded and half maimed. They're like unusually strips of what I hope is poultry with not a speck of seasoning. They're burnt and dry but soaked in oil. The only flavor is literally oil. I ate one with a daze I would imagine someone in Saw having as theyre eating these "chicken fingers" debating if death would be an easier option. I have no idea why this was passable when their other food is decent. Well. After my attempt to eat one of these fingers I gotta go take a shower since even eating with a fork I need to wash up or decide if I want to go shine up some cast iron pans, which I would be able to do effectively. So take my warning as you wish with the chicken fingers. You've been warned

Best Steaks in town and they also have a good selection of vegetarian options for any meat-free friends! Prices are very reasonable too, you end up with a lot of food.

Wings were soo good. Also got the fried panzarotti which I didn't even know was a thing (don't judge) and it was also really good. We have never had an issue with the food. It's always good!

Food is very good. However, the salads are the size of side salads. We were very disappointed that it was $14 for the size and didn’t even have any protein on it. Will not be ordering again.

Awesome little place to get great food!! I've been going there for over 20 years and never had a bad meal. It's a must go to for my father every time he comes up to visit from Florida. I think they have one of if not the best steak sandwich around!!! I truly think you will agree. Go ahead and try them for yourselves!!🤯👍👍

So frustrated!!!! I used to always eat here when I lived in mantua & I hate leaving a bad review on a local business but this was just so bad I had to, I Paid 28$ which isn’t cheap , for 2 of most tasteless sandwiches. I ordered a Philly cheese steak with wiz. There wasn’t barley any wiz on it. Dry as a desert and maybe 4 pieces of pepper and onion with no taste at all. I also ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich which had pieces chicken fingers or something cut up on it(not a cutlet). I had to drench it in lemon and salt because it tasted like NOTHING. I feel like I just threw my money in the trash along with my sandwich’s. I Hoping this helps someone. Don’t waste your money like I did.
