Awesome place for the kids to burn off some energy! Something for all ages. Great helpful staff and they’re actively supervising the play areas which is good to see. I grabbed a coffee from the cafe and it was surprisingly good, the cafe is actually lovely and a nice place for parents to catch up. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Beautiful place, cafe is good. Only problem is the safety and attitude of some of the staff. I’ve taken my son (3yrs) here only 2x and both times he has managed to freely walk out of the gated kids area without any of the staff noticing. The gate needs to be fixed for child safety as the front doors are automatic and any kid can freely walk out onto the road. The few times my son has gotten out he’s run towards the front doors and not once staff had noticed. Luckily my sister was with me and noticed before it was too late. Because of the faulty child gate many parents would shut the gate assuming it’s closed, meanwhile it’s left open for the children to wonder. I was hoping I’d be able to catch a good and we’ll needed coffee break while my son could play safely but felt like I had to stand up every few minutes to close the gate to ensure his and other kids safety. My sister approached the staff saying that it isn’t safe for the kids to have the gates wide open all the time, also explaining how my son got out over 5x. After she did the front desk lady would shut the gate when she noticed but with an attitude. When she was first approached she said “no the kids are fine, we can see them and won’t let the kids get outside”. I feel like the staff should undergo safety for children or something, just feel unsettled. Or at least fix the gate so when you close it it closes and not just opens again.

It’s too expensive for a child to enter for such small place, I wouldn’t say it’s a child-friendly price... especially if there are family can not afford it....super crowded.... I saw hairs in the 2 dishes I’ve got, I asked the waitress please let your manager know about this, she just said sorry and that’s all.....

If I could give 0 stars I would. Had my boys 5th party here, the team here didn’t bring out the ice cream till most of the guests left and double charged one of our friends. I had to refuse a gift card and argue till I was blue in the face for a cash refund. Will not be returning and couldn’t care less about the worker saying “I’d have to pay you from my own pocket”. Chipmunks and Jump give much much better service.

Deserves a full complement this one. Despite being very busy today staff were very kind and had an eye on everything from the slides to the trampoline. They have added some sections from the last time that I was there. The cafe was looking very good for a private function or a coffee with a friend while kids are happy and having fun.

Today was really busy but staff were doing an awesome job! Cleaning and watching over the playground. It’s great to see an indoor playground where adults can climb into the playground too! My son is only 1 but thoroughly enjoyed the everything Hippo had to offer because I was able to take him through it. There is seating area that gives a full view of the playground so great for parents. I would definitely come back again.

Absolutely loved coming here. The whole experience is so nice for some time out as a parent. The staff are so lovely, accommodating and hands on when needed. My son sprained his ankle and they were onto it. It's so fun and the food is amazing. Very clean facilities too

Amazing quality food, and amazingly tidy, even though there were at least 50 or so children going in and out of the playground, the place was immaculate. The staff remained calm and professional even through these busy hours. Hippo park playground has aced customer service and quality. Recommended, and smiles all around. Great work!

Went in on a Saturday afternoon. It was extremely overcrowded which resulted in having insufficient staff numbers to manage the rules like big kids in the baby area, babies in the big kids area, multiple spills all over the place becoming health & safety hazards even though they were cleaned up as soon as staff became aware. Additionally there are no outside food rules yet I saw multiple parents pulling food from their bags. On the other hand, staff were helpful without being asked, the toilets are unisex but clean and the parents room is big enough for the twins pram! They also have QR codes at each table so you can order and pay online and they know what table your at so they can bring it to you!

This is the floor, after cleaned! Oily and slippery with food and rubbish! Kids are not wearing any shoes. Short of staff with discounted service but inflated price!

I had taken my kids to Hippo playground for the first time my self and my husband and kids had a terrible experience due to the nature of a staff member telling my kid off for no reason and not her place to speak to my child like that very unprofessional unpleasant behaviour I would say. My daughter had asked for some ice and the staff member was very rude and said “we can’t serve ice unless you buy a cold beverage” how ridiculous can that be ? We had bought quite an amount of food but need to pay for “ice” ?. This is the First time I’m hearing in New Zealand that a café can not give ice by it self for free ?. The staff member had appeared to be under a-lot of stress and very angry towards my children this is unacceptable behaviour and is not a good experience or environment for kids to be around. As a parent Next time I would take in consideration before going to hippo land thanks.

Not a good experience. Cleanliness is very poor, thick layer of dust over everything. Cafe over priced and crowded with long wait times. The worst part was the bunch of fully grown men (in their 20s) were jumping in foam pit and aggressively playing right next to my tiny 5 year old. It took me 3 complains to management before they did something.

🛝Nice Indoor playground for kids, my son enjoyed it. It has all the activities in one area (wall climbing, indoor trampoline, slides, ball pit, cotton candy machine) They got specific play area as well for small kids. Place were clean and someone is making sure that the area is clean. 🚽They also have spacious eating area beside the playground where you can see your kids playing. They have separate parent abd common toilet. 🫧They also provide hand sanitiser in some area. 🚗Heaps of free parking space. ☕️🍟🍕They have there own cafe beside the playground, really nice food selection for kids and adult with dietary restriction. A bit pricy but food was good.

Hippo is definitely a 5 STAR place. The staff are super friendly with excellent customer service. You will not be disappointed if you book one of the party rooms for your kids birthday. The food is super fresh and the cake is delicious. Thank you so much Hippo (staff) for such an amazing experience.

We had my daughters 3rd birthday party celebrations here. The food was absolutely delicious, staff were wonderful and so helpful and the entire party area and play areas were well maintained and very clean. We cannot wait to go back next year. Thank you again Hippo Playground Team.

I Like this place, My kids love this place and the staff are ok, Please lower your price for A private venue that is way to steep please lol the recent review Daejha come on Man they are not a day care center, You have to look after your own kids while sipping on your coffee & having a break. Every play place is like this, you still have to keep your eye on your own kid. It’s not fair on staff to lookout for 50 kids at a time. Just saying. Thank you Hippo.

Came to have a coffee while my son played, told the staff member when I arrived I'd not been before and I was there for coffee. After she told me yes, I could get a coffee with my son (2) we paid and entered... to dind the Cafe is completely separate from the playground and there was absolutely no way for me to eat, sit, drink, work or relax while my son played. Not the experience I was after or expecting, didn't enjoy having to leave with my star struck toddler as they has no solution other than "its an all day pass...". Hopefully the stamp on my sons hand survives a mornings hand washings to get back into this arvo 🤦🏻‍♀️ Advertising could have been better, this is not where single parents can bring their kids and get any mental space.

I've always thought Hippo was on the expensive side, however, now that I've been, I understand why. It's well maintained and clean. Staff monitoring the playground, ensuring all is safe and clean. Great Cafe. Definitely worth the money. I'll be back 😊

The owners should be ashamed of themselves. This Business asked a young 14 year old Girl to come in and do FREE work for them on an employment trial, then just ghosted them afterwards, even though she was promised they would let her know. No phone call, no email, nothing but silence even when they were emailed a few days later, saying how she really enjoyed the work and opportunity given, and would like to do further work for them, but No, nothing from this company at all . What a rude bunch you are, and I feel really sorry for the rest of your employees who work for you, if this is how you treat people. Shame on you.

Very impressed with how proactive and switched on the staff were during our entire visit (approxi 4-5 hours) on a busy Saturday during school holidays. Was attending a birthday party (very well executed) and ended up staying well past that as well. The facilities are top-notch and the kids absolutely loved it. Only negatives I can think of is the car-park situation (not their fault) and they should consider some way of better managing how many people are allowed in the facility at any given time (tough one - I don’t have a suggestion) so that the ones in there can make the most of it.

Went for lunch, perhaps were a bit understaffed cause no customer service 😬😔 had to keep going up to the counter. The food and the amazing mango smoothies were absolutely delicious 🤤 best Chicken Pasta of my life & epic waffle fries! (have to pay for use of the playground) Very very comfortable seating & the food came quickly even though it was lunchtime.

Rip off. When you pay for a platter on top of your initial booking which I understand the booking is non-refundable however the platter is just food on top. Paid it 3 weeks in advance and instead of giving me a refund, they advised me they will give me a full credit for it that I can use over the year??? I will be getting this refund that isn’t a part of the policy through legal action. No replies and no call backs, not answering my calls. Not one to make complaints but this place has pulled a bad side that I usually don’t show

Great place to take kids to burn off energy with many play areas. Includes slides trampolines wall climbing feature, ball pit etc. clean play area with seating close by for parents to keep an eye on their children. Parents get to have as much fun on the slides as kids. Also nice that there’s a lot of seating and a cafe adjacent. Another bonus is toy gifts at entrance which also sells drinks and icecream. Definitely be returning. Our kids had the best time!

Not as good as it used to be - this place is EXPENSIVE. $54 today for a 5 year old and toddler. When we first started coming here it was great - time has passed and not so much. The under 5 area is small and some of the toys are broken and have not been fixed over several visits over several months - with the amount you are charging for a toddler to play we at least expect the small under 5 area to be fully functional. They also no longer have the slide with the ‘tyres’ you can ride down on - the slide is there but nothing to ride down it on - it doesn’t really function as a regular slide you just get stuck and cant slide down. The place is cleaner than most other indoor playgrounds and has a proper cafe though also very expensive. Staff are nice and they have free lockers for shoes. Used to be worth the higher than elsewhere prices but it’s starting to go downhill and not being maintained.

👍👍 I had an eye fillet with creamy mushroom sauce and mash potato. Also had seasonal vegetables for the side. I ordered my steak medium rare, and it was perfect. My kid had a kids steak, and she loved it. The staff were very kind. I think this is one of the best restaurants in Auckland.

👍👍 This is our 2nd visit. Our first visit we brought our big family for Father's Day (us + 6 kids) and they took great care of us. Absolutely love the Eggs Benedict (I picked 🥓). Loved it so much my wife and I snuck out this morning so I could have it again!
