Great modern hotel for 1 night transit stop over in Maputo. Very new and modern, excellent rooms, quiet, clean and well equipped. Safe parking.Excellent restaurant for meals on site. Only One thing thatwas a surprise which wasn't mentioned anywhere is that the Restaurant does not have alcohol on site, so no wine /beer with dinner, or to purchase. Its not a major problem but would have been nice to know in advance. Still a very good 1 night stop over for travellers and families.

STOLEN ITEMS FROM SUITCASE I suspect that I was targeted as a solo female traveler. I only stayed there for 2 nights and several items went missing in my suitcase during my stay there. The thief was very clever (I strongly suspect the cleaning person), things I left out on the table was not touched (work laptop, headphones, etc) as it would be very obvious to me. However, the thief took things packed inside my suitcase: a limited edition Apple Watch (which went online in Maputo long after I left), Go Pro 11, Airpods, sunglasses and I noticed this when I arrived at my next location. I messaged the hotel repeatedly about this over a month ago, but I get ZERO response from them at all. I understand that what one employee or burglar doesn't represent the whole hotel, however the lack of any response from hotel management is a hue red flag. Be mindful of your possessions, I don't think this is the only time this has happened.

Rooms are great but the service is terrible. All the staff, managers included, have terrible attitudes and should really do customer centricity courses. Rooms were clean and well designed. The housekeeping staff know what they doing. The front of house staff can learn from them. Expensive food in the hotel restaurant, taste not worth the price. Breakfast was the previous nights food. Curry and boiled chicken from the previous nights buffet.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at OTIA Hotel during my first visit to Maputo, Mozambique, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived until the day of my departure, the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of amazing. The facilities at OTIA Hotel are top-notch. The moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted by a stunning lobby with a modern and elegant design. The attention to detail in the hotel's decor and furnishings is truly remarkable. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities one could need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, guaranteeing a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city. However, what truly sets OTIA Hotel apart is their exceptional service. The staff, led by the outstanding Maria, made me feel like a valued guest from the very beginning. Maria's warm and welcoming demeanor, combined with her exceptional knowledge of the local area, made her an invaluable resource throughout my stay. She effortlessly assisted me, ensuring that I made the most of my time in Maputo. The hotel staff as a whole was attentive, professional, and always ready to assist with any request. Whether it was arranging tours or providing useful information about the city, their dedication to making my stay memorable was evident at every turn. I truly felt that they genuinely cared about my comfort and satisfaction. Furthermore, the facilities at OTIA Hotel left me thoroughly impressed. The on-site restaurant offered a delightful array of local and international dishes, all expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The breakfast buffet was particularly impressive, with a wide variety of fresh, delicious options to suit all tastes. Additionally, the hotel’s swimming pool provided a perfect opportunity to relax and unwind after a long day. In conclusion, my experience at OTIA Hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. I wholeheartedly Recommend OTIA Hotel 🇲🇿

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It’s modern and aesthetically pleasing. The rooms are a good size and super clean. We also enjoyed the big pool and sauna/steam rooms. It’s a pity the Shisha lounge hadn’t opened when we were there (the hotel is fairly new and was still under some construction but this was not disruptive). My least favourite thing about our stay was the ‘no alcohol’ policy - alcohol can only be consumed in your room and isn’t sold at the hotel either. The breakfast was also a let down, there weren’t a lot of options and some of the breakfast options seemed more appropriate for lunch, e.g. potato salads, rice and stews. These could have been replaced with more fruit and cereals. Since the hotel is still new, I think they should have a suggestions box at reception for guests to make suggestions on how they can make small improvements. The staff was lovely and the hotel’s location is quite central so I’d still recommend it when you’re in Maputo.

Stayed there from the 12th to 18th Oct 2023. Excellent Hotel which is nicely located and a 2.5km casual walk past the embassies and consulates to the beach. Value for money hotel around considering what other hotels are charging for especially for business. Clean and professional hotel and restaurant serves excellent breakfast which is also strictly Halal ( no alcohol or pork ). The dinner menu is extensive and surprisingly good. Staff were excellent and always willing to help out with any issues. The hotel and restaurant managers were on top of their game whilst Yara , Felix , Maria at reception were efficient and professional. Check in was a breeze. There was a pool which was very inviting but I could not use due to my schedule. The gym was good and air-conditioned. The sauna was still being built as I think it is a new hotel. I will be booking here if available whenever i come to Maputo. Check it out you won't be disappointed. Some minor items to be upgraded like the wifi in the rooms and to replace tea cups with mugs.

We had such an exceptional stay at Otia Hotel. Stunning hotel with such friendly staff.Yara and Feliz greeted us at the reception and they were so efficient upon our our arrival. You won't go wrong by booking this hotel it's rated 3 star but 5 star service.Rooms are big and clean and the staff are just to kind and helpful. The breakfast was really nice.We met the manager Mr Faisel who is always available. Maria at the front desk . Bertha at the coffee shop was always nice and recommended what is nice to have. The only problem I encountered is that there was no Gluten Free things for me to have. Hopefully on my next visit they will introduce gf pastries and cakes. My husband really enjoyed all the delicious food that was prepared.

Kitchen staff need more training on customer care. Housekeeping must ensure rooms are cleaned before check in time and at least by 11am for those guests already checked in.

Loved everything about this place other than no alcohol in the amazing halal restaurant.. easy thing to overlook when everything else was so perfect. You can see that every effort is made from the staff to management to make your stay as sweet as possible.. carnt believe ots actually rated a 3 star hotel should be more than that. Maybe because of the small extra renovations being made. Get in there now as the price for this place will only rise.. well done to all Involved especially the Lebanese chef.. smashing it out of the park

Very new hotel with great amenities and restaurant. Not in the nicest area of town but makes up for this with the facilities, staff and cost.

Insgesamt top.
