I was booked in another hotel, but my professor told me Afrin is a luxury hotel in a very nice area & I should stay there for XMAS. I decided to follow his advice, the hotel was just like he said, I enjoyed walking the area from the beach into the park...In my second mile into my first walk I was halted by a drop-dead gorgeous model taking pictures by the orchids for her social media portal, so I couldn't resist inviting her over my hotel to take more pictures from my Luxury suite, she hesitated because I am not a celebrity like her...also we just met anyways... but the hesitation evaporated when I told her I am staying in the Afrin Prestige, she said WOW AFRIN that is SO HOT & just like that I got very lucky simply because I made the great decision of paying a few more dollars to stay in the Afrin Prestige, I don't think she would have accepted my invitation if I was staying elsewhere! The Afrin Prestige was generous to not charge me for an extra guest, as I initially booked for 1 guest, I ended up inviting my drop dead gorgeous model friend again because she wanted to take more pictures with new outfits, the hotel was kind enough again to welcome her without an extra charge. Highly recommended, especially if you like to walk a lot like I do.

One of the best hotels in Maputo. Located next to Maputo Shopping mall. Hotel staff and Manager ( Mr. Aamir) are very helpful. Serve nicely Cooked continental food items. For spicy Indian food, you may visit nearby Indian restaurant (Galaxy) that serve all Indian Food at reasonable price and quantity. Hotel is very beautiful decorated and room services are also good. In short, Value for Money...

It seems the housekeeping is not well trained or lack supervisor. Rooms were not cleaned, especially wash rooms had hair all over the bathroom, more visible due to white colour scheme in washrooms

Was here for 3 nights since last Friday with about 30 avid global travellers. We pre-booked about 15 rooms. Most Poor Service. Incompetent staff. Incorrect rooms were allocated even after we had confirmations. Management & staff could not assist in accommodating us in our correct rooms, as were pre-booked. We were told none that we pre-booked were available. Nobody could tell us where or to whom our pre-booked rooms had been allocated to. No GM was available to resolve our issue. They are very expensive as compared to many other more prestigious, service oriented Hotels. One can get better, proper 5 start hotels in the best locations of Maputo with exceptional 5 star services for less than 1/2 Afrin's price. Meals were terrible. No top ups for breakfast if you aren't in by 8am. No AC's in corridors. Extremely hot from room to elevators. Only 1 little bottle of Body Wash & 1x Shampoo per room per day even though 2 adults are in a room. No more than 2 sachets of coffee, cremora & sugar per day. We were told by Management that it's their rule. Room key cards need to be reprogrammed up to 3x daily. Staff and Management don't understand what Sevice is about. Most cannot speak nor understand English, even though this is a requirement for all 5 star hotels globally. Requests to House keeping services or Reception takes many repeat calls to them and up to 3 hours to resolve or to provide the requested services. Iron and ironing board is ancient and in terrible conditions. For anyone that has travelled globally, they would know that this hotel is far from 5 stars. Nothing is inkeeping with 5 star standards, as the avid traveller would know and tell you. This place shouldn't even be graded at 1 star. It's OK for those that haven't travelled before (first time travellers) and for those that don't know better what hotel gradings are about and how to Judge the same! It would impress those that haven't travelled before. Wouldn't stay at this dysfunctional place again!

Food was amazing. Breakfast spread was excellent also the taste was delicious. Housekeeping team is very supportive and humble. The highlight about this hotel is that everyone is warm and welcoming. They greet you everytime they see. 5 star services and standards maintained. Thank you so much Afrin Prestige Hotel.

I don't think it's a 5 star hotel. Doesn't provide the following:- Gowns, sleepers. Kitchen doesn't have cutlery and crockery. They provide coffee, sugar, tea sachets on requisition.

It's not a 5 star it is 3 or 4 Do not waste your money Better hotels out there They don't value you anyway.

The service is excellent and wholeheartedly delighted to have stayed at Radisson mapudo . Staff is very good friendly and helpful . They took time to make me feel special ! I used one of their conference rooms. The service was good. The rest rooms were always clean. I liked the dining hall. The staff were always helpful. Sorry no photos.

Check in and check out was amazing. They are excellent in their in their customes,great manners,always in their points when it comes to customer care and value add.Afrin prestige Maputo was great experience. Kripa was extremely extraordinary in friendly customer service. This is a world class experience in my years of travel. I will came back here any day and will recommend this beautiful hotel to friends and family. Fabulous experience.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms very immaculately decorated.

Our group (6 rooms) stayed for 5 nights. The staff were accommodating as we had early check in as well as late check out. The hotel is a hidden gem in Maputo CBD, with beautiful garden, pool and spa. They make sure to go out of their way for special requests. We also had a birthday in our group and they suggested to set up a special buffet for us in the garden which was very thoughtful. Also the views of the famous bridge over the canal at night from the rooms was a sight to behold. They have a very nice spa on the second floor, which is definitely worth spending some time after long travels.

Towels are old and frayed. Iron is from the stone agree. A/c in room leaked water onto my head while I slept. Food (breakfast and lunch) was the worst I ever experienced, bland, tasteless and cold. Kettle in room had to be placed on floor because cord was too short to reach plug points from table tops. Never again!

I stayed in AFRIN PRESTIGE in Maputo in December 2022, the best thing I enjoyed was the food. Normally, at a hotel it's really hard to eat all meals in the hotel. But not the fresh tasty menu served. I really enjoyed my week in Maputo while staying in this hotel. The breakfast spread was amazing, the staff was very courteous ous and helpful. Especially, Teixeira and an older gentleman working in the restaurant who spoke German and driver who picked me from the airport also a nice sociable gentleman. I have forgotten their names.

- The breakfast was horrible the waiters take hours to give you fried eggs when you ask for them, they ignore you and avoid eye contact. They served us boiled veggies and beans at breakfast. - The food runs out at breakfast before everyone has eaten and it doesn’t get replaced. The table clothes on the breakfast tables were dirty and had the same stains from the day before. - There was a mouse in our room, we informed reception and they sent someone to chase the mouse with a broom. What a horrible stay and experience we had at this so called 5 star hotel. - The bartender was extremely rude and rude wanted payment for ice. - The service was so bad, reception has called all 4 days of our stay to ask when we are checking out despite having already paid for the full stay.

Value for money in Maputo. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms very immaculately decorated. The 24 hour restaurant and room service was a life saver. Love the place, would go back any day

Most spacious rooms on offer in Maputo. Facilities like apartment-hotel for a long stay. But need attention to regular maintenance.

Definitely not a 5 star, WiFi down no dongle/router given in case such happenings. Breakfast have to tell to put on lights as very dark in the mornings also sharing of the salt & pepper. Shower curtains irritable when taking a shower as very small. Can’t leave anything in the rooms charging as they switch off electricity with a card slot in to switch on power. In overall wasn’t too happy and if you close to beach front balcony you can hear outside noise so no double glazed windows to keep noise out. But staff very helpful.
