Great place. I had a really great time. On the one wing you have eastern restaurant (Chinese) and on the other, western. The place feels nice and a premium and the stuff is very friendly. The language becomes a barrier though (Portuguese is primarily spoken here and some bits of English) and kind of prevents you from fully enjoying the place to the fullest. There is a great view of the ocean just on the other side of the road...

A phenomenal location. However it would be a stretch to say that this is a 5 star hotel. It is more of a source of accomodation without anything else. If you want to stay as close to the bay as possible this is for you. However you may need to venture out to get more variety food wise. Luckily there is a mall on the premises and it is a stone's throw away from other hotels and scenic eating houses and bars. For the money, you are getting a high standard accomodation but it's offset by lack of the service you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. Not for a lack of trying, it's just not their strength. If you want Quiet, then this is for you.

Quite elegant and modern although the decor and style is mostly imperial and oriental. Has wide open spaces throught and all the modern amenities a 21st international traveller's hotel should have. The cuisine is a bit limited though, with only a Chinese restaurant and one other dining area - which doubles as the breakfast room and western restaurant.

Kinda weird place to stop in for a drink. Huge spaces and dominance of the building, like a mini-village with its own mall to the side. I was pleasantly surprised to find local staff rather than Chinese, and everyone was friendly and helpful. What suggested luxurious glamour from outside was a little let down by the utilitarian decor inside, but, due to the space, provided very cool, open areas to relax.
