Park

👍👍 As a collector of trinkets, I loved it here. So many beautiful sights and sounds and just a lot of shopping to be had! We didn’t have much time to explore Maputo due to work, but I’m glad this was one of the stops we got to go on! People often mention local, market, park, good, people,

Great leadership. Wonderful people. This church is a place where you can hear the word of God and find a place to serve in. It's also a place to build relationships with fellow believers.

The art and crafts here are worth coming for. However, it is difficult to walk around in peace - people are constantly bothering you to buy things and when you do look at something or explain why you don't want to buy something, people chase after you. One of the restaurants here (Graciana?) serving local food gave me a very watered down juice, and the waiter just wouldn't leave me alone as a single woman.

Fantastic oldfashioned city park..Lots of Straw colored fruitbats..a fascinating statue of four Goddesses. We went quite a few times just to enjoy the trees and atmosphere.

Nice local crafts. Everything is extremely overpriced to start price. Most prices are actually half of the first asking price.

Located in the heart of Maputo, this traditional market offers visitors an authentic and vibrant shopping experience. With a wide variety of products available from local retailers, it is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking unique souvenirs and an opportunity to immerse themselves in Mozambican culture. The market showcases an impressive range of wooden masks, handicrafts, paintings, bags, and traditional clothing made from colourful "Capulana" fabric. Each stall is well-organized, and the friendly vendors are more than willing to engage in a little haggling – expect to negotiate a 20-40% discount from the initial asking price. Keep in mind that bargaining is part of the fun, so be prepared for some lively trading conversations. Payment options are flexible, with both cash and card accepted, making it a hassle-free shopping experience. Surrounding the market, visitors can find a variety of bars and restaurants, set amidst the tranquil greenery of the park, as well as a charming flower and plant market. For those craving international cuisine, there's even an Italian restaurant. Overall, this traditional market in Maputo is a delightful destination for travellers looking to experience local culture, purchase one-of-a-kind souvenirs, and enjoy a peaceful respite in a beautiful park setting. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city.

Great if you want to see a range of hand made crafts. A number of restaurants within the park. Worth a visit. Be sure to haggle!

Nice place to unwind. However, all the hawkers are selling pretty much the same thing. You see 1 stall, you’ve seen them all

Good place to buy souvenirs. This is a tourist market yet still fun and peaceful. You can haggle for your purchase here but be polite.

If you are looking to buy local crafts souvenirs and gifts for people back home this is the place. But sometimes vendors are pushy and they don't let you rom around freely. Be ready to haggle over prices as bargaining is expected and sometimes you can buy things are 25% of the initial Price.

This place is perfect if you're looking for a souvenir or a crafted gift for someone. The restaurants have an exquisite menu, offering both local and international dishes.
