Review
of
Sportsman's
Warehouse
at
The
Spectrum,
Tucson,
AZ
I
recently
visited
the
Sportsman's
Warehouse
at
The
Spectrum
on
Tucson's
southside,
and
I
wanted
to
share
my
experience,
particularly
regarding
customer
service
and
inclusivity.
As
a
Latino
customer
with
Mexican
roots,
I
was
initially
pleased
to
be
greeted
by
a
Latina
employee
upon
entering.
However,
this
positive
beginning
was
not
indicative
of
the
rest
of
my
visit.
As
I
browsed
through
various
sections,
including
the
firearms
area,
I
noticed
a
concerning
pattern.
Despite
making
an
effort
to
engage
and
making
eye
contact
with
the
associates,
not
once
was
I
approached
or
asked
if
I
needed
assistance.
In
contrast,
I
observed
that
white
customers
were
actively
being
offered
help
by
the
associates,
who
were
themselves
all
white.
This
experience
was
surprising
and
disheartening,
especially
given
the
store's
location
in
a
predominantly
Latino
community.
It
seemed
as
though
the
staff
may
not
be
reflective
of
or
familiar
with
the
local
demographic,
which
could
have
contributed
to
the
unequal
treatment
I
perceived.
I
believe
that
all
customers
deserve
equal
attention
and
service,
regardless
of
their
background
or
appearance.
My
experience
at
this
location
fell
short
of
this
standard.
I
hope
this
feedback
can
be
a
constructive
tool
for
Sportsman's
Warehouse
to
assess
and
improve
their
customer
engagement
and
ensure
a
more
inclusive
environment
for
all
patrons.
