La Mesa Tortillas

Restaurant Mexican restaurant

😠 Probably the blandest Mexican food I’ve tried so far. The beans were dry and tasteless and the rice has no color and also had zero flavor I couldn’t even eat it. $20 dollars wasted. Employees were kind of weird and standoffish they wouldn’t let us get a jalapeño tortilla for a burrito combo. You’re... People often mention tortillas, tamales, burritos, good,

First and last time I’ll be coming here. Go to St. Mary’s, way better food and tortillas and service. The tortillas are okay, nothing special.

Stopped in with my family on a Saturday afternoon around 1. Sign stated they stopped serving lunch at 2 given plenty of time before shift end. Original cashier was a very nice lady however, when my wife went up to ask for a refill and buy some tortillas a red haired lady was very rude. I received the same when asking for my refill as well. Followed by a very rude comment about having to sweep up the mess my 18 month old daughter left on the floor. Food was extremely bland. The fresh tortillas were very good but other than that this place was not worth going to. In all we spent around $60 and were referred as a large order. Not impressed at all.

The girl said the tortilla machine was broken, so no large tortillas. Ordered 2 burritos to go. Green chile chicken and bean. 2 of the worst burritos we have ever had. Just barely warm and super small. Never again.

Can't give a positive review. Been there 3 times. Still have not had the opportunity to try the food. They open late and serve even later.

Beef tamales are good, but in half a doz, they were different sizes, 3 had less beef, and for $14.50, they should all be the same. And for that price, they should be fresh and hot. Tried it and moving on to back towards St Marys area. Adios!

The tortillas were delicious but the meat needed more flavor. We walked in at 2:15 and they closed at 3, the employee has everything closed down already and told us he could only make 3 things on the menu, burritos, breakfast burritos and tacos. Although there wasn’t much we would try, the tortillas were something I’d definitely go back for.

$5.15 for one dozen of flour tortillas!!! Way to expensive! The tortillas are so regular. Nothing special. First and last time visiting this place.

A great place to buy hand made tortillas and burritos. I ordered a quesadilla to go with cheese; it was very flavorful. Also purchased freshly made red chili pork tamales which were very good. The people there were helpful and took time to answer questions I had.

The tortillas are so bomb and the tamales were very fresh and flavorful. They also have empanadas and burritos soooo good will definitely be back.

Tried this place out today and liked it. Ordered the breakfast burrito with egg, bacon, and potato. Served with salsa which gives it a lot of flavor. They have other goodies too such as empanadas, quesadillas, and tortillas. Kind of pricey considering similar establishments might be cheaper but overall decent place for breakfast/ lunch. Definitely looking forward to trying out more items on the menu!

Best tortillas around. Delicious burritos and such. They also sell bulk Mexican food like green chile beef and beans. Yum!

Twice now, I have placed my 'order to go' and have been very pleased. (I really think that they are set up better for TO GO orders rather than EAT IN. However, indeed you can eat there.) By placing my order TO GO, I asked that my items be "COLD". That way they stay fresher until I can get home to heat them up. So the half dozen Tamales and the quart of Red chile all came from their regrigerator. Sort of a no-brainer on how to order stuff when you are planning on heating it up at home. And truly their "hidden secret" is their empanadas and their cochitos. Outstanding!

Tortillas are pretty decent and reasonably priced... they're very friendly and helpful! Also the green chile tamales are pretty tasty!

We bought two dozen tamales and they were delicious, however almost every single one had several pieces of hoja ( corn husk) that when pulled out, made each tamale crumble into pieces.

Very clean and quiet establishment. All combos are cooked to order and taste fresh and hot. The owner (at least I assume he is) is very kind to employees and customers. Would recommend to anyone for some good quesadillas or tamales!
