This is a true hidden gem just a 45 minute drive by train away from Stuttgart. The service is great. We were greeted very warm-hearted and it stayed that way. We both don't eat meat, but this is no problem at all. They can adjust the menu so you can have only fish and seafood or only vegetarian. The setting is very nice. It is an old inn, but carefully redesigned. It feels really warm and cozy, but with a touch of class. The food is very good. You can choose your courses from the menu or you can just say surprise me and just pick the number of courses you like. Two courses were really sticking out, when we visited. One was the trout tartar and one was a course with octopus pasta. However the other courses were really good, too. We will definitely make the journey from Stuttgart again.

Superp food - it was simply out of this world. I had a filet steak with truffles and foie gras and it was just delicious. The steak was perfect and melted on the tongue. My husband had halibut on a puree of fennel and selleriac and that was unbelievably good as well. The service was outstanding and the wine menu was great too! If you want to spent an evening teasing your taste buds and being pampered this is the right choice!

Good unplanned dinner at the Weisser Ochse, we didn't have the time for a full 5course meal but the simple good a la carte was a great beef filet.
