“Fancy” restaurant with overpriced food which was good but you paid more for the serving style than superb taste. The interior and terrace was nice however and the service too (and surprisingly English speaking). It has only one toilet so you need too wait in a queue for some time every time. I probably wouldn’t come back.

Truly the best restaurant in the area of Dzūkija. Exclusive and unique interior and meals of XIX-XX century and original to the area. Thank you master Chef Augustinas for hospitable service! Will come back! :)

This restaurant offers a lot of traditional dishes that are typical to this region. The prices are a bit steep, but food quality definitely lives up, so no complaints here. The interior is also quite fancy. I was served by someone who definitely seemed like she just started, but she was doing her best. Keep it up!

Fascinating cuisine, wild meat dishes are very tasty. Recommend ribs with dash of smoke. Premium quality! Service is top notch, very polite and helpfull. 5 Stars for my taste.

Discovery of the year in Merkine: amazing game, an impressive menu of soups (nettle soup, beer soup with smoked curd cheese, wine soup with crayfish tails...) and second courses, ancient style kukorai and "dzūkiska banda" on cabbage leaves. Be sure to visit Merkine!

Absolutely amazing place. Worth to come even 100 km. to taste delicious and authentic cuisine. If you haven't been here yet - put it on your list! You must taste it!

Honestly, one of the best unique yet semi-traditional Lithuanian dishes I’ve ever tasted. We came from Nida specifically for this restaurant and I couldn’t have been happier. The staff was friendly, honest about the wait time from the start and very helpful with our picks. We ordered almost everything we’ve never tried before as Lithuanians because we’re not from Dzūkija region. It honestly blew our minds! Thank you so much for such a wonderful place exists.

Love this place! Visited this restaurant on multiple occasions over the years and it never disappointed me. The food is always yummy, service is always good and ladies working there are super friendly. Tried quite the few things from the menu and all was tasty every time. However their most popular menu item (bulvinės bandos) is normally disappearing very quickly so you have to be there first part of the day on a weekend to be able to order and taste it ☺️ Highly recommend this place! Of course, the prices are not low if that is what you would expect from a small town place, it’s rather the opposite but the food and experience is worth it.

My mum and I were looking for a quick dinner and didn’t expect anything special from such a small town’s restaurant. What a nice surprise! As a restaurant manager myself I’m quite fussy however I have to say that the menu is extraordinary- so many unusual and interesting dishes that we found challenging to pick. Great Gira, great food, great service and very unique crockery- almost wanted to steal it ;) Hats down to the chef!

Very fast service. After we were seated, menus in many languages provided immediately. Drinks in one minute, soups in five. Great taste and presentation of what we ordered. Above-regular pricing, but adequate. Great spot.

Very nice and yummy food in the middle of smallest village in this area. We really loved all the dishes we ordered. We tried ribs, fish, potato pancakes with meat and parsnip balls were incredible. The staff was attentive and kind. Very recommended to visit! *Only the music was chosen poorly for a quiet day time.

Overpriced. The food is served as in high quality restaurant, small portions and good visual, but the taste and quality is well ignored. Ordered ribs, it was more fat then meat on the bone. Service was slow but waiters very nice and caring.

First of all, very good traditional Lithuanian food. It is not easy to find similar dishes in other restaurants, so definitely worth a visit. Deer steak was really good!! We came back again and this time food was great again. Unforunatelly they did not have deer meat, so we needed to try something different. Deer pate was really good starter.

Very nice restaurant. Fresh ingrediënts are used. Friendly waitresses. Do have a try when you are in the neigbourhood.
