Un pub con mucha historia, carácter y una personalidad única. De fuera no parece que sea mucho y el espacio por dentro es chiquito pero entra y saluda los viejitos al bar y dentro de poco ya tendrás unos nuevos amigos.
This is one of the loveliest pubs i've been to recently! A cozy small hidden pub, no loud music or noisy neighborhood! Fairouz Music stole my heart there... Catchy and weird interior, reflecting a revolutionary spirit, with rebels pictures and their quotes The owner is just a soooo lovely lady with a very warm and welcoming smile The bartender is friendly and welcoming as well Prices are very affordable I wish it was a bit bigger so people can talk a bit more freely
One of the best historical place , a beautiful destination to spend your night in
Such a unique and authentic place, it is absolutely lovely and very niche and selective , obviously! Highly recommended for those whole like the underground vibe and hidden gems.
A communist pub that at times feels like a museum full of history and countless stories to tell. The staff and locals were ridiculously welcoming. Love this place and can’t wait to visit again. Tip: Check out the Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown episode S05E08 that was filmed here.
a hidden gem in Lebanon - a small, unassuming pub that's a perfect blend of quiet charm and vibrant energy. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy great company. Definitely worth seeking out
Friendly bartender and food is out of this world. If you're looking for a lively time, sit at the bar and have too much arak.
Every corner tells a story. Harmonized place, very very affordable prices. Highly recommended.
My favourite hole in the wall featuring the deep and dark stories of the communism that weaved in and out of the Lebanese culture, the welcome plate of lemon and salt soaked carrots, turmous, and apples. Many great memories were made here, including our epic bartender writing me Fairuz lyrics with my Almaza and searching for Canadian ID's/currency behind the bar.
The people are great! The best place in Beirut to get a Beer late at Night. Came as a guest, leave as a friend.
One of the best pubs you'll find. Has an real cool underground yet homely vibe. Must visit for tourists and locals. Just hang out there and it's charms will draw you in. The owner is awesome, the bartender doubly so. You'll love this if you're into cool bar discussions and debates, or chill music.
A hidden gem in Beirut, drinks are served with complimentary fruits and nuts . Good prices great ambience once you visit you'll feel this will be your everyday spot
One of the best vintage pubs in Beirut. MUST KNOW: the place is tiny. Don’t be intimidated! Once you walk in and understand the pubs history and environment, you’ll feel right at home. Despite the pub’s obvious affiliation with the communist party, it’s open and welcoming to all political opinions, religions and cultures. Terez has been in charge since her husband and the original owner, Naya, passed away in 2016. She is contagiously funny and very sassy. P.S feel free to bring pictures or notes to staple on the pub’s walls. It’s filled with memorabilia from customers over the years.
Special place
It's a really great place out of Lebanese history, the owners of that ( house ) are at utmost gentle, from my perspective that's a place some people can call ( home )
