Was just told by one of the staff members at the 5-minute break I was taking in the machine was considered "camping it." I turned to my side and noticed that every other machine was open and no one was waiting for the one I was using. I get needing to enforce the rules but there's a difference between enforcing it when there's a problem and being reprimanded for doing nothing wrong. If your staff would rather i hurt myself on the machines from not taking a break then ill glady cancel my membership and go to a place that respects its customers. (For note not only did i see other people taking the same time break/longer this was also all the other machine that i was apparently "camping on")

Absolutely horrible. They get these young kids to sign up for the $10/mo program and then slap them with a $50 activation fee and then a yearly fee of $50. I understand it’s all in the fine print they sign off on….but how do they know the difference between all the different fees. My son thought it was the $50 initial fee when he signed up. No one will refund the $50 yearly fee so we can cancel and be done with them. Very frustrating.

For people who move out of state make it easier to cancel the account if they request. I requested to cancel my account several times through the app. I even called the store in Maricopa multiple times to cancel since I was not able to go into the gym directly and cancel. Several people told me to submit the request via the app, which I would, it still would never get cancelled. I had requested my cancellation in October of 2022, also in December of 2022, then again in February 2023 and finally got the managers email in March 2023 and that’s when it was finally cancelled. When I would submit a request to cancel through the app I would always get a reply back from the customer support team to submit my request through the app if I lived out of state, it still would never get cancelled. Once the manager of the Maricopa AZ location cancelled it, I request a refund of one month monthly dues and my annual charge, she requested proof that I had submitted a request to cancel so I sent her all the automatic emails I got back from your customer support, she said this wasn’t proof I had requested the cancellation even though it stated how to cancel for out of state customers and she refused to help me with the refund. I could have disputed further charges for all the months I had requested but I only asked for one month refund with the annual charge refund. She still refused then stopped communicating with me entirely! It was very poor service from her! I was very disappointed in how I was treated and how she made me to feel like I was lying and just trying to get money back, which absolutely wasn’t the case at all! I would not return to planet fitness because of this horrible experience I had, how management made me feel like I was trying to swindle money out of y’all, and the fact it took an arm, leg and pulling 20 teeth just to get my account cancelled!

I'm happy I chose to join Planet Fitness. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I genuinely enjoy the experience every time I visit, regardless of location. The cost is much more affordable than some options you may have run across in your lifetime. It seems to be a get-in and get-it-done focus rather than a hanging-out and meandering around type of place. I've found a great place to go in and work out in the way I see fit for me. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do if you're looking for a place to get a little move on. Special Kudos to Dante who gave me my intro tour. He's a super helpful, super friendly dude that I enjoy speaking and engaging with every time the opportunity rises.

I recently joined Planet Fitness in Maricopa, AZ and am very happy about my choice. The fitness center is spacious and clean. There is an abundance of equipment so I never have to wait to use a machine. The employees are friendly and helpful. My Black Card membership has allowed me to bring a guest, which I've done on several occasions. I also love having access to the massage chairs and tables at the end of my workout. I highly recommend this facility!

Just bought a membership today! Great clean facility and good service! Actually love the people here. However, I was disappointed to discover not a single barbell, (yes they have smith machines) no bench press, and dumbbells only go up to 60LB. I understand, you don't want the clanking and banging, but it feels like they could be a little more accommodating to all experience levels. (Perhaps a separate room with barbells.) Also, if you're moving, don't forget to cancel BEFORE you leave town. They WILL Not allow you to cancel over the phone, through email, through their website, or through their app. They sight needing a physical signature for not allowing this. However, with companies like DocuSign that make E-signing secure and reliable, there is no reason they cannot allow these methods of cancellation. They do allow a signed letter through the mail or an in-person cancellation. But the in-person cancellation has to be at the specific location where you signed up at. Machines are in great shape and with a little creativity, there is nothing preventing you from getting a great workout here.

Helpful staff, clean environment, variety of equipment, amazing app with details on workouts, and the room with the hydro massage that is super relaxing after a long workout! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to hit the gym.

Great equipment and excellent customer service! Very clean and lots of equipment didn't have to wait for a machine to open up. Lots of ameneties as well!
