How is this place even open anymore ....no more server service....you order at a kiosk and then have to go up and get your food when they call your order number. There was only 3 other tables here with us. You serve your own drinks in togo cups...so they basically have turned this into a take out place.....not sure if the other locations are doing the same, but not sure if I want to come back to this one unless it goes back to the way it used to be ... surprisingly, the food was ok...but they have taken A LOT of things off the menu .

I don't understand how a burger can be this smashed in a bag that was already missing both the large fries and only had 2 burgers inside with some cheese cups. Like did they just walk on top of our order? Also tried to order pickup to offset it being a Friday night to not hog the drive thru and to just pop in and out to pick up the order. Except we get to the store all the doors are locked and no one allowed us inside at 930 even tho they close at midnight. So we call and they say to go in the drive thru line to pick up the order. We had to sit there for 45mins before we got our order. Then they put the order in a sealed bag so I couldn't even quickly check if it was correct without making the extremely long drive thru line wait even more. So we get home and not only is our food soggy, cold and literally thrown together but smashed down like someone sat on our food or stomped on it. And missing 2 large fries to go with the cheese cups. I literally paid $30 worth of straight garbage.

I should have looked at the reviews first. We ordered a number 3 and the Triple Steak-burger meal. Both sandwiches were burnt, and our steak patties were hard as a rock. I can’t believe a cook served this. I will not go to this location, nor will I recommend this location to anyone.

I have eaten here many times and will continue to do so, because it happens to be the only burger place open this late in my direct area. So for convenience sake I will give it three stars instead of anything less. I say it is convenient, but do be prepared to wait about twenty or more minutes for a single burger and fries and that is if there is hardly any people there. If there are people here, the wait will increase substantially per each individual. If you happen to be eating inside the establishment, expect that you will need to clean off the table and chairs yourself. Every time I go into this location, it is as if they do not clean the dining area at all. I do not recommend eating inside. The foods quality is to be expected as it is a fast food restaurant, so do not expect anything amazing. It is merely convenient.

Food was great but the bathrooms were absolutely atrocious and the manager guy was courting on the phone while helping us with ordering. He also got a little snappy with another customer… food was good though and the main eating space was very very clean.

The rate would be more like 2.5 stars. So I went with my family and my food was fried too long. Also, my wife's order was wrong. It was just a lot of confusion. The cooks were trying their best but seemed like there was no management. I wish them the best but don't think I'll be going back.

The end of an Era. Such fond memories at Steak N Shake from years past. The last few times I've visited have been bad. This time will be the last. The food was wrong, the service was obligatory, no more table service, just order through a kiosk and wait for them to shout your name(still asked for a tip at the kiosk though) The shakes were $5 glasses of weird flavored milk. The lobby is barren and filthy. The sodas smell like the machine needs to be cleaned. Steak N Shake has lost its heart. I fear it won't survive much longer.

Went to this location today 9/23/2023 and it SUCKED!!! I went through drivethru and all cars there had a wait time of at least 15 to 20 minutes! This indicates the beginning of the end for this particular location! That is impossibly ridiculous to wait THAT long for burger and fries! Gosh I tell you, this generation do not have a work ethic AT ALL!!! When o worked at Burger King and McDonalds when I was a young teenager back in the 80’s, we were happy to work and have a job even with tough times. We got the food out to people in a timely manner and did not have people waiting 15 to 20 minutes for their meal. I bet this location will shut down in a few months. The food also was super salty, almost like they just dumped the whole box of salt on the burger. I’m NEVER going back again. This photos attached are not of the bad food but I wanted to put up at least something so Google’s algorithm could pick up this review.

It has changed it's ways. It's now self service. Order on kiosk. This location AC was not on. That's the only thing I didn't like. The food is still 10 star.

I wish you had zero stars. Unfortunately the single burger was burnt black and cold. I thought I was in the drive through for 15 minutes waiting patiently because I thought my food was going to be freshly cooked. I have never had this happen at North Carolina's Steak & Shake. Maybe they were short on staff among other things. I wish them the best!!

What happened to Steak and Shake? This location is unclean. Tables sit unwiped, floors remain covered in footprints and food, and lobby surfaces covered in fingerprints and smears. No servers, just kiosks. No tablemats, kids hats/crayons, no ketchup at the table. Just a shell of what it use to be. So sad.

Sat for over the time shown. Had two orders in the drive thru. Only one employee was nice. All the rest were rude. I asked for a ranch and the guy handing me my bags rolled his eyes at me while rudely saying it cost extra when I had asked for it while I ordered my food. They did not give me my receipt. I went to pay for the ranch (not sure if they charged me twice for it or not because of no receipts given to me) a lady came to the window and also gave me attitude and was talking badly about me when the window was closed. I could hear the conversations and the rap music that was blaring in the background that had vulgar language in it. I’d also like to state that they messed both my orders up, my fries were burnt and my burger was soggy. Will not return to this steak and shake.

Update, I did get my Frisco Melt, and it was good. But It took 25 minutes and the manager noticing me standing at the counter looking for my food. (I got it in the drive through by the way). The manager was on top of things and got it taken care of. I used to love this place. At least the Frisco melts are good. What has happened to this Steak ‘n Shake?! The menu has changed since the pandemic and the people don’t know what’s going on in there anymore. This location was the best around. And now it’s just not worth it. Whoever is running this location just doesn’t know what they are doing or is very busy. And the people running the Stake n shake corporation are running it into the ground.

Stopped in for lunch with my hubby and kids. I get using kiosk for orders but it did not print the receipt. Ok no big deal till we get the food 1 order was not given to us. The guy who put our food on the counter for us ti get barley spoke English so I know it is a language barrier and not him just being mean but one we told him we was missing the burger he asked for and which one, the only burger ordered sir. Then when I get the food it ain’t literally had nothing on it. When I placed the order I only said to remove tomato. My husband had a chili dog with ketchup mustard and onion when it was brought it only had chili so he asked them to add the other 3 items they added the ketchup and mustard. Seriously used to love coming here but this was a joke today

Way too sweet. There is nothing special about their milkshakes. Definitely enjoyed the homemade better. I didn't like their banana milkshakes. Won't ever get again. Nothing is healthy on their menu

The double bacon garlic burger is amazing. Juicy fresh and flavorful to say the least. For a fast food burger it won't break the bank and you don't have to wait forever. All in all you can't go wrong very delicious.

The service provided by the order taker was great. However, the burger was cold 🥶 and not very appetizing. The best part of the $13 meal was the shake. My first bad experience at this location. Normally, I get great service and great food.

Food was great. I got the garlic double steak burger and it was great!! Boyfriend got cheese and bacon double steak burger and he was pleased. Only complaint is we waiting about 20ish minutes but overall great experience. They even remembered my sauces 🤣

Came in simply for a shake. Decided I would dine in and eat. Took them 35 minutes to get me my shake. Once I took a sip, had to spit it out. Tasted like burned metal. Other people who ordered shakes as well said theirs tasted like burned metal as well. Burger meat was super small and was also cold upon eating. Asked for large cheese fries and got a pitiful squirt of cheese. Also had to ask for my shake twice.

Not the people workings fault but if you just have two employees working close for the day. Been waiting over thirty minutes for food. Have somewhere to be. Ordered online so no way to cancel. Fourth minutes. Got to the car. Missing a fry and our burgers were cold and burnt.

This place used to be awesome. Now it’s a lost cause. First off. Employees were friendly enough but just unable to do the job. We came in and ordered 2 burgers, fries and shakes. We waited patiently for 30mins and then asked where our food was. They said “We don’t see your order”. She took our ticket and began making our order. She was awesome. She got our food out in less than 5 minutes. That being said I blame the owner. This is a situation where the owner can see all of the 1 star rating and is not fixing the problem. It’s a shame.

There's no way Steak n shake selling butter burgers this dry. There were two in my order but dry and the meat was thin and crispy I requested extra onions on one but both had a pinch of burnt onions. There was already a long wait and I was already on the expwy back home when I discovered any of this smh

My goodness, I’m beside myself with this place. 33 min in the drive up line since they decided to close the inside (probably due to staffing). I’m aware just about every business suffers with staff, but rude staff too?? Cmon, If you are your job, just quit. They moved slow as molasses and hardly spoke. At the pick up window she just started my total and put her hand out. Then 15 min later when it was ready she just held the bags out the window. This is the last time my family will ever visit this location.

Fabulous experience. Went through the drive thru and got a large order of onion rings instead of fries with my combo (because they are delicious). When I got my food I went and parked to eat it. Upon opening the bag I found that the order had gotten mixed up and I got fries instead of my onion rings. Things happen, they were very busy. I wasn't going to go back and fuss. I like fries too. But a few minutes into eating my meal there was a knock on my car window. They had realized the mistake and tracked me down to give me my onion rings! Heck yeah! 10 out of 10 will definitely eat here again.

My sister and I wanted steak and shake . We seen that the line was long so we knew it would be wait. We didn't mind .Excited we finally got a chance to order. we ordered meals, 6 to be exact all with shakes except one with water. One of the meals plain....just cheese! We asked if they could possibly bag all separately. They said no , they was astonished we ordered 6 meals . So we said we could separate the meals ourselves just give us 6 bags. Asked if everything was in the bag and it was not missing 1 fry and 1 plain burger. My sister went in come back to the car frustrated . So I went to a company her because the women Mgr. Had a nasty attitude. We felt her frustration but we paid for our food and we wanted it fixed correctly.

I don't know why the burgers taste dry , I think the buns are too dry. Don't get me wrong I love Steak 'n Shake but this store is off. Everything is is perfect but why are the buns like that, same thing for the pickles..they don't taste like they've been in the juice enough. Great service though, super kind service workers.
