This rocky beach has plenty of parking, ample trails, picnic tables, and clean bathrooms. We spent 3 hours combing the beach, hiking the trails, and having a picnic. Many people had their dogs out for a walk. The surfing was good as there was more than 20 surfers in the water with varying degrees of skill. We would come back again for sure as the ease of this location just a quick jump off 101 N. was great!

A gorgeous beach with privacy, peace, and quiet. The beach is not as hectic as many in Northern California. My daughter is enchanted by the tides along the beach.

It was very windy on Mother's Day, but had a wonderful time with my family! Beautiful views and a great hike.

Beautiful and comfortable beach. Many hiking trails start from it. Convenient parking. Many local surfers catch waves here.

Cold yet calm and private. Close parking and restroom access. Loose-rocky but nice walking trail. No signal so enjoy the outdoors! Shoutout to the first responders we saw 🚁

The best beach to relax and enjoy the sunset. It has small hiking trial. Also, great spot to start surfing (due to low tides). The beach is beautiful all round the year.

San Francisco Golden Gate National Recreation Area is stunning, and Rodeo Beach Coastal Area is a great place to experience it. Parking and restrooms can be challenging in other parts of the park, but Rodeo Beach has plenty of both. There are several easy trails in the area, including one that takes you from the beach to several nearby military batteries. Even a foggy day can be a pleasant experience, as you can immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the area.

A truly stunning spot in any weather! Dog friendly, lots of hiking nearby (definitely recommend the coastal trail) and not that crowded! On the way back be sure to do the coastal route and stop by the Golden Gate lookouts

Great beach can bring the dogs to, it’s a pebble beach(not sandy). Great views not to busy on weekdays beach is a bit messy(feathers and seaweed) but still beautiful.

Beautiful place to hike BBQ and enjoy the beach. My son loved flying his kite and picking rocks no shells 😑 there's bathroom and showers for the people that surf and pet friendly.

Gorgeous beach just a short drive from San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge. Went on a Monday morning and there were hardly any people here. Loved sitting on a log and watching the surfers, breathing in the fresh ocean air and watching dogs frolic on the sand. There’s a few little hikes in the area that provide great views of the surrounding shores. No food so make sure to pack a lunch!

Beautiful place and super convenient to get to on a bike. The beach is never too busy and it is just the perfect size. I’ve been there 3 times and each time I enjoy myself a lot. When I went for the first time, I went with my school many years ago we all had a blast. The neighboring trails are also beautiful, especially during the sunset with the sun just barely peaking over the horizon.

Stunning area with so much nature to enjoy. Big beach, stellar views, tons of trails up into the hills. Hike to the top and explore the old military ruins.

Super fun place to be but super cold if you're not prepared 🙃. We went on a hike here and it was fantastic. The beach is beautiful and there wasn't a ton of people on the beach so it felt like a private party.

Not a bad beach, plenty of parking but if it’s a nice day should get here early. Very dog friendly, looks like reasonable surf, enough of a shallow stretch for kids to run around in the water. The beach isn’t that long, so when crowded can hike the nearby trails or go to Muir Beach (5.9miles). *If you’re expecting a “California Sandy style beach”, this isn’t for you.

Nice beach with many birds, plenty of sand to relax and several hikes for everybody nearby. We spent the afternoon here, relaxing with a small picnic, watching the birds (seagulls, albatross, even an eagle!) Sadly some charcoal at some points, but it is what it is. Nice views on SanFrancisco and its West Beach

Not a bad place, instead of sand there are very small multi-colored pebbles. The parking lot is small. A narrow wooden bridge across a small bay leads to the shore.
