A great hang out spot and very luxurious yet modern and unique interior and seats. The place is very spacious and sunny, while very cool and airy. The seats are extra comfy! They have electrical outlets next to several tables and many people were there doing meetings or working. Parking is a big issue as you need to park in a basement parking across the street and the valet next to the cafe is very pricey. The staff were nice and efficient. The coffee was ok, the flavor was a bit weak and not unique but not sour and more to the chocolate flavor. We tried three different drinks and they all had this flavor profile. The desserts looked amazing but are way over-priced and sadly lacking good execution unfortunately. 1) The lemon tart was a disaster, the custard (or whatever yellow filling inside) was gummy, the meringue layer was crunchy on top while watery and eggy on the bottom. Lemon meringue tart should have a thick layer of fluffy soft meringue that is toasted (not burnt and hard!). The crust was the only saving-grace here. 2) The walnut caramel slice was tiny, lacked flavor and the caramel on top tasted burnt and bitter. 3) The Victoria cake was super sweet especially the filling and the cake itself was dry. I will go back for the coffee but stay away from desserts as looks can be deceiving!

I was introduced to Calm Street around three years ago and since then, whenever i am in Doha i would come here for my coffee, when i am in Lusail, without an option this is my number one coffee place and i so love the atmosphere here, they have great coffee, lovely furniture and amazing friendly staff.. it is calm and great it is described how it is named!! Their staff are always smiling and willing to help, they keep checking if everything is alright. Maybe coffee tastes the same everywhere in Doha but those guys knew how to become unique. Well done. I will always come here

This cafe has such a nice atmosphere. The indoors seating area is very spacious and theres an outdoors area that I like. There are clean toilets and prayer rooms nearby. The prices are appropriate. They offer breakfast, dessert, and coffee. I usually order the flatwhite, its 24 qr. The staff is very friendly. Overall, I really like this cafe I would definitely recommend it.

Rating this business a 1 star even though I have not been able to reach it. This business is running what I'd like to call the *valet scam* if you want to park in the building Calm Street is on you either pay 30 riyals for valet or 50 riyals for vip valet. I don't think I can advocate any business that runs this type of scam. 0/10 would not recommend.

I’ve been here twice, once when it was newly opened and today. The plus point more food items available to order besides just cakes the last time. There are also hot breakfast items. Prices are on the higher side. One slice of chocolate cake 34, brownies 29 ( was not that great), gluten free desserts are also available. The coffee are a bit sour to my liking. It is a good place to get some work done, quiet. The sandwiches were good.

Good customer service and a clean warm presentable Venue. A tiny glitch the washrooms are under construction. You will feel relaxed with the ambiance. Coffee was good as well. The staff is kind and customer service oriented.

This is my favourite place in Doha. Not just my fave coffee shop, favourite PLACE. Here’s why: 1: Doha has some good coffee but not much *great* coffee. Until this place opened. The espresso is delicate, fruity, and layered with flavour. Their coffee wouldn’t be out of place in London, Melbourne or Oslo. It’s that good. 2: The staff are out of this world. They care. They remember you, they remember what you ordered last time. You’ll feel really welcome here. 3: The founder still works behind the bar, and that’s why there’s so much love in this place. It is genuinely calm. No “brunch rush”. People in here are here for the peace. Go, enjoy, but don’t tell too many people please!

Calm Street Cafe is a great choice for those seeking a refined and inviting cafe experience in Lusail. Their dedication to roasting their own coffee beans ensures a consistently exceptional cup. The menu offers a wide variety of sandwhiches and pastries. The spacious interior provides a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making it a popular gathering place for both locals and visitors.

The food was ok however it took too long to get our food. There was only one chef, one guy for making coffee and cashier and only one waiter. The cafe is definitely short of staff. Only 3 guys are running the cafe. If you are in a hurry, i don’t recommend this place. You can get much tastier food and better service for cheaper prices in many places around lusail area.

Very nice location, very quiet. Limited menu. They don’t offer any sodas. Needs to add more items to the menu.

Wide space and good energy in a seemingly big space in this restaurant. The food selection is typical of a cafe although some food item prices are higher than average. Some of the beverage prices are on par. Had a turkey and roast beef croissant with a cortado on the side. Parking for this building generally is limited to bldg parking for 30qr, special valet for 50qr or public underground parking for 3 qr/hour

This place is alright, nothing special, however, friendly staff and nice coffee. Have tried V60. The only thing that disappointed me was that they had only two countries to choose from.

Great ambiance and a decent selection of coffee. Definitely one of those coffee shops where you can spend hours in studying, reading, or just straight up relaxing.

It’s all in the name, it’s calm and cosy, with very warm interior -I especially love the brown palette used with some plant decorations, it creates an earthy vibe, like a hug from nature if you will. This has been my go-to place for studying or attending online lectures, it’s quiet and everyone is minding their business and busy with work. They’ve got wi-fi and coffee, what else do you need? Now the coffee review! - Let’s start with the good stuff: -The cortado was above and beyond, 1000/10!! My friend and I are obsessed with this drink, it was sharp with balanced notes, and most importantly, very strong, the perfect drink for a quick caffeine quick. -The cappuccino is a solid 10/10 -strong, bold, the perfect milk to coffee ratio, no mistakes. -The flat white was fairly good, 8/10 because there was s light acidic flavour to it but it was tolerable. -The hot chocolate was ‘so good’ according to a peer and I think we should take her word for it. Now, I was quite disappointed with some of the drinks; the chemex brew was a 5/10 to say the least, it was not hot, and it had a pronounced acidity which I did not like. The main reasons for this is either they used blond roast to make it and brewed it for too long, or the coffee beans were not freshly grinded and have been sitting out for too long, or it was brewed with extremely hot water which extracts the acid quickly from the coffee, that with the added natural oxidation process that already adds acidic flavour, is not a good mix. -The latte was not that great either, it was too acidic as well according to a friend , which is the same issue we had with the brew, using medium roast would be better in this case. -p.s. never order mocha. One last thing is they won’t serve the drink hot unless you specifically order it ‘extra hot’. When coffee is not served hot, it prevents the flavours and some of the acid from being fully extracted from the coffee, and acidity can complement or unbalance the harmony of a coffee cup, so without it, coffee tastes flat, but too much acidity results in a sour and tangy cup. Overall, I love this place, the staff are so friendly and the service is amazing. I will constantly be coming here and I recommend it to everyone without a doubt. #americanoqueen #yourlocalcoffeeguide
