Excellent food, friendly and attentive service, and a great ambience to dine with friends and family. This outlet serves savoury food in addition to the usual drinks and pastries. With its variety of options and delicious mains, the Christmas brunch buffet we had was outstanding and truly memorable.

The cafe was quite full, and the staff was short-handed. I didn't make a reservation and just walked in. After a ten-minute wait, we are seated. Only one person is in charge of taking orders, charging, and assigning seats to customers. When we were seated, neither the waiter nor the waitress offered us any water. Also, I'm not sure if there's a dining restriction during peak hours because a pair is hogging the table with their laptops despite having finished their meals. I wait to visit those places which deserve full five stars. All I can say is I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of Nutella chocolate tart and cauliflower tart with craft beer and a glass of fine merlot wine. It was the excellent service with smiling faces and great food along with vibrant ambience that just enhanced our experience. My only regret is that I couldn’t order the dinner menu because by the time I reached, the kitchen was closed.

Came in for dessert after dinner nearby with friends over the weekend. We had to skip drinks and take-away some slices of cake as we just missed last orders taken at 10:30pm, but the three flavours (Dark chocolate, Butterscotch and Choc. Hazelnut) and 1-for-1 Truffles ordered were all fantastic. Staff were pro-active in meeting us at the door and helpfully telling us in advance about their last order policy, so we could make a quick decision - Great service. An extra star from 4 to 5 due to this.

The hot chocolate is a must try if you visit the cafe - so velvety and smooth. I wanted the chocolate croissant but it was sold out before noon. I opted for the chocolate danish which was a bit too sweet for my liking. Pasta was good however serving was small.

The brunch set for 2 here were really good. Specially love the bread the was baked fresh upon ordering. The service here was really warm and welcoming. Will love to be back again soon.

Had breakfast on a Sunday morning, post Xmas. Ordered the Xmas promo breakfast set for 2; imo well done. I like the place too, thanks to social distancing, table arrangement are well spread. Everyone loves the chocolate there. Worth the visit, great for family and kids.

I have to give 5 stars to the manager of the restaurant as her customer service is really great! Apart from their usual chocolate cakes, their cafe and bakery do serve up delicious meals too albeit on the pricier side based on portion size compared to other famous cafes.

Food was reasonably priced, ambience and christmas decor was really nice and cozy, and what's even better is the service from all the staff! They were friendly and meticulous. The lady who brought us in recommended what is nice to share as a big group (truffle fries, bread board) and it was really a good choice! When we are done with our starters, one of the guys still took the effort to inform us our mains will be ready in a few minutes. Thank you so much for the pleasant experience. Will definitely visit again! :)

Ordered beef brisket pie and club milkshake. The center of the pie is slightly cold, at least they made the effort to heat it up 🤣 Milkshake had noticeably less chocolate from the tap compared to the last time I visited 🤷‍♂️ But the taste of the food is still great, enjoyed my visit there 👍

Very enjoyable experience and thanks for surprising the missus with a candlelight cake! The recommended drinks are also very delicious. Kudos to the young man for recommending combining the chocolate drip with fresh milk when their superbly delicious milk chocolate bottle ran out. Delicious! Highly recommended for fellow chocolatians!

Wonderful $25 dinner set and add on dessert on a Saturday night. I was ushered to a freezing cold 🥶 corner somewhere in the back as I did not have a reservation, but thankfully was given a window seat with a nice view of the traffic junction when some diners left. I had the wild mushroom soup which was so yummy. I could taste the different components of the soup that blended together in harmony. 😋 I wanted to get the bread and butter pudding with chocolate ice cream, but was advised to pair it with vanilla instead which is a very good duo together. The sweetness and warmth of the vanilla sauce combined with the pudding and ice cream is so heavenly and I cannot get enough of it. 😃🌈 The iced lime tea didn’t work for me, but I was impressed my server offered me a another glass of water after I had my dessert to quench my thirst while waiting for my main. 😊 The ribeye steak was very flavourful and juicy apart from the grain. It was sprinkled with peppercorns that wonderfully exploded in the mouth. Wow! 🙂💥 I also took home the flourless chocolate cake at $4 promotion which is a steal although I wish I could have had it there and then.

Had the lunch set for $22 and it was really good value. Mushroom soup and the prawn pasta were delicious. Portions were big too. Coffee was surprisingly good too

I came here one Sunday afternoon. Make sure to have a reservation. I ordered the pancake with 70% chocolate. Yummy and freshly made. The pancake is warm when they serve and the chocolate will be poured just right after it’s served. The meal can be shared by 2 people (cos it’s too much chocolate when finished by 1 person). The interior have a chill vibe. A lot for foreigners dining. Staffs are attentive. Pls keep it up!

This restaurant has a lot of surprises. Their services are excellent, the chefs know their stuff and they even changed a dish on request. Well done team, and keep up the great work. I hope that one day, the owner can open a branch in Auckland, New Zealand.

Came here on a hot Saturday afternoon and really loved how beautiful the interior is and that I could see some chocolate art going on in the kitchen. Pastries looked so good, and so were the little gifts to be bought. Water is complimentary, but somehow, the orientation of the restaurant made it hard for the waiters to see us or even get their attention. They were also very busy. We got a chocolate lava cake to try, and damn it was so chocolatey thick. It's really a sharing dessert because it's too heavy to finish alone. But it was really good 👍 I rate: 5/5 🌟 Iced chocolate milk tastes a bit like a cocoa version of Milo. Sweet and milky. Great for kids. The other mocktails were really refreshing! But they are not all the same size. It's good to try regardless. Very refreshing and creative twists.

July 2023 Came here for after dinner desserts and chocolate. All items in our order were quite good. Definitely will come again. A special shoutout to the lady in black suit who served us. Thank you for taking the time to describe the menu & flashing genuine smile every time you interacted with us. Update-Came again & this time for set dinner. Both starter salads and main courses were very good indeed. At $25 before ++ per set (desserts & drinks not included), it’s great value for money. I only wish they could serve on hot, or at least warm plates as the food got cold towards the end. Bargain fine dining. Update-December 2023 Came for set dinners of fish & pasta. Standard still good but….still served on cold plates! Pity.

Awfully delicious set dinner@ $25 each! Thanks to the manager's recommendations. Nice ambience with very loud music. But frankly, the portion of the mains are very much way too little for an adult. We top up additional $3 for the miso aged cod & spaghetti but the cod fish is like a toy sized for kids. Is this due to inflation or whatz?

Staff were nice and attentive and food quality was good, however all the food items we ordered were quite salty indeed! I feel cook put too much salt in it. Chocolate drink was nice! Regarding the staff I want to give 5 stars. Environment was nice too, just a bit too cold inside though.

Came for the 2 course meal lunch set ($22++ only on weekdays) and added $3 for a cake. Place was pretty empty on a Friday afternoon and I didn’t have to queue to enter and get a seat. Noticeably as the per the reviews, the service is abit slow and feels kind of disorganized. It feels like there’s no real delegation of service and everyone is doing everything. Nonetheless, I was pretty satisfied w the food. I went w the caramelized pear and cheese salad and fish and chips. Both were good, but not amazing. The dessert however sealed the deal. I enquired what was the dessert that will be served if I added the $3 and it was the chocolate crepe cake which would be $8.50 if bought by itself, so pretty good value there! Taste was it was also light and deliciously chocolatey.

Had a lovely brunch over the weekend, and it was delightful. Service was good and server constantly checked on my table even in spite of the packed cafe. Food did take a while though, bit with a full house it's understandable. All 3 dishes we had were well worth the wait and you could tell everything was made fresh and even the bread was so fluffy and tasty! The chocolate sauce over the pancakes were to die for but the standout was the camembert brunch bread to me, sooo good and would even come again just for it and a coffee. Highly recommended!

I'd give it ten stars if I was able! Being Australian, we know pies! Their beef brisket pie is amazing! Give me the strength of moderation! You will not be disappointed in any of your choices. Is brunch too early for a chocolate espresso martini? I think not!! If your near, drop in, you'll agree with me.

Stepping into ACBC@Katong on a hot sunny day, to be greeted by the warm smile of the staffs, is definitely worth baking under the sun for. The staff accommodated to our request for an empty window seating. They take pride in not just their job, but their service attitude towards chocolatiers as well. They are all smiles behind the mask, which could be felt from their eyes. Ordered the (1) Chocolate Butter & Bread Pudding (2) Chocolate Banana Galette (3) Vanilla Mint & Caramelised Lemon Club Soda (4) 70% DarK Iced Chocolate (5) Artisanal Ciabatta Baked with Whole Camembert Dish 1 : This cake pudding is soft and moist on the inside, with crispy top. Flavourful yet not overly sweet. It's served with vanilla & rum sauce on the side. However, you can request for chocolate sauce instead, if you're a Muslim or don't take alcohol. The staff will gladly assist you with it. Dish 2 : Thin layer pie with a beautiful crust and tasty banana fillings topped with pecans. It's not overly sweet as well. Dish 3 : A refreshing beverage suited for the summer heat. Abit of sour tanginess with a sweet hint of love to it. Nicely pair with any sweets or pastry. Dish 4 : The bitterness of the chocolate coats your palate with distinctive cocoa flavours, waking up your taste bud and getting it ready for more food to come. On a side note, should have taken it hot instead of cold. Dish 5 : The Ciabatta is nicely baked and freshly kneaded, with a hint of garlic I guess. The camembert in the centre if soft and fluffy, topped with pecans coated in some kind of sauce. The first bite into the soft puffy crust of the Ciabatta, it's like love at first bite. Overall, 2 of us spent approximately SGD83, including 2 take away cake slices, service charge, and GST. But it value for money indeed, given the quality of the food and the service of the staffs.

Love the $25++ dinner set. Serving is huge and we enjoyed our dinner perhaps the French onion soup can be a bit less salty. Like the very clean and bright look of the cafe, will definitely come back again to try other mains.

Went for their dinner menu. $25 for appetizer and main, add on $3 for the drinks. And pay $3 extra if u order sterloin steak and sea bass. Food is flavourful and taste good. The bread is really good after it is heated with the dashi butter. But chef can actually go easier on the salt. Almost all dishes are quite salty esp when the salt are so visible on the meat dishes. I had to down lots of water after that. Love the pear appetizer!

Awfully chocolate has certainly come a long way since its humble beginnings selling one chocolate cake! Came for the dinner set ($25++ including starter and main). Overall, I would say their savoury dishes are now better than their desserts. Prawn & crabmeat aglio olio - pretty tasty, but more like chilli crab pasta than aglio olio (the pasta is coated in the sauce) Ribeye with fries - actually quite decent, better than I expected The chocolate desserts/pastries are unfortunately a bit one-dimensional and all start to taste quite similar after a while. Overall, I’ll be back for their dinner set - but wish they’d inject a bit more creativity into their namesake chocolate items!

70% chocolate martini was rich. Truffle fries pretty well done and a great afternoon snack paired with spiced orange soda drink. However, service was a bit laggy even though it was not very crowded. Would be great if service can be more prompt to complement the nice food and ambience.

Who would have thought that Awfully Chocolate serves awfully amazing dinners. Love the beef cheek brisket as much as the Ribeye steak. The truffle fries are freshly made. Ending the evening with a must have chocolate ice cream to top off dinner. Top class service and perfect ambience. A full five star ratings! Thank you for the warm and friendly service. Looking toward to check out other dishes.

My family took me here on Mother’s Day for brunch. The food was delicious. Loved every morsel of it. Worth mentioning however was the lovely, caring service we received here. A special mention for Rachel … she went out of her way to take care of us. All the staff are so friendly and nice

I always have awfully chocolate for birthday cake or other celebrations. This is the first time to find it has a restaurant. Overall atmosphere at the entrance was welcoming, but when it is crowded it is noisy & warm, service standard I would said drop, food wasn’t expected. Hopefully awfully chocolate standard as a eatery will improve.
