I have always walked pass this place but was never interested to walk in since it looked very dark from the outside, but recently they changed the light and the atmosphere looked so much nicer so gave ot a try. Went on a Friday night with no reservation, but mamaged to get a table without waiting. The couple after us had to wait, so I think we were lucky. The place was full inside and outside. Staff were attentative, and even helped to pour our beer from the tower we ordered. Food was a fusion of Asian and Western, and was surprisingly nice for a casual place like this. The portion was big and matching the priceas well. Overall a very nice casual place with nice atmosphere :)

This place is either a hit or a missed place. We frequent this place on a regularly and always enjoy the food and the drinks which cause us to revisit. However this time was the worse, first of all, service standard was not there ( I can accept average service if the place was crowded or under staff, but there was less than 7 tables outdoors and only 1 table occupied indoor and we visited from 6.40pm to 10.30pm), and there was more than enough service staffs around. Secondly, we ordered beer, not just 1 or 2 pint but over 10 pints for 3 people. To our horror, the beer was flat, no taste for the beer. We ask for exchange and the manager insisted the beer is from a new barrel. When he replaced the beer, it tasted the same. So we exchange to another type of beer. Being a beer garden place, beer is your staple and quality must be maintained. It is understandable if the establishment want to save money but why must it be at the expense of paying customer. Lastly is the food, we eaten before the food there multiple times and already know the normal standard of the food. However the meat of the lamb was already bad, the cut tasted funny on every bite. Maybe we are just super unlucky on the day we visited but food and service quality should not differ by so much specially if you are running a service based establishment. It can really ruin your entire night.

Nice place to hang back and enjoy a couple of beers. The outdoor garden is a really cosy and relaxing space to chill out if you're ok with a bit of traffic noise once in a while.

big thank you to mel’s place for accommodating our surprise birthday party! extremely amazing staff and management, shoutout to Lek and team for allowing us to reserve the entire restaurant and bar on a Sunday afternoon, when they usually only open in the evenings. Great service from start to end, from planning and suggesting the party menu, to the attentive service staff and facilities (TVs and pool table) at the bar. our guests had a great time. thank you again! 🎉

At first I thought it was a nice place for a drink but the food were delicious too and this is out of my expectation. The taste of each dish was excellent and straight to the point where I don't see most restaurant able to do that. Thank you to the chef's and Well done!

Nice place! Friendly staffs and awesome food. Only thing is the manager ( i guess) kept reminding you to put on your mask the moment you finished smoking. Its outdoor btw. Nevertheless, will be back!

Food was very nice but only comment is that the margarita could be stronger 😉. I had vegan options 👍🏽

Loved the selection of food, service crew were amazing in adhering to my restrictive diet requirements. My friends love this place and are regulars. It’s a good hangout for families and also ideal for group gatherings. Plenty of space to relax and enjoy the lively atmosphere♥️ oh and did I mention that it’s a great place for football fans. We were in the midst of the EPL and there were some big fans!

The bar bites (we ordered chicken wings and spam fries) were good. But the mains were a huge disappointment. The tomahawk pork was dry and tough and worse, unseasoned. So imagine us try to chow down on that - we had to cut it into tiny pieces to make it go down easier. The escargot are best taken off the menu because it came in a soggy mess of overcooked escargot and tasteless powered cheese, nothing like the picture on the menu. I really hope that the team can look into improving the food quality of the mains I mentioned or maybe take them off if it’s too hard to keep up the quality the food.

Best place to chill on cool and breezy nights outdoors. Or choose to sit indoors when too hot and muggy. Lots of menu items featuring local and western dishes and generous portions. Drinks menu naturally very extensive. An institution in this part of the island testified by the crowds.

Great beer garden with plenty of airflow to keep cool in the heat. Beer is cold and the service is impeccable with friendly staff who are keen to fill your cup, be it the cold water they serve you when you sit down or a cold beer if you wish. When we come back, it will be for the atmosphere and the service, as the food left a little to be desired. Beer was ice cold and delivered promptly!

Nice relaxing place for a drink and meal. Fried chicken wings was delicious and the lamb rack was very worth it too! Pizza on the other hand was alright as it was a bit doughy and dry for us. Overall, we enjoyed our time there..

Had an awesome time at Mel's Place. Bustling with good music and great ambience and food. Special mention to Belle for looking after us through the night and making sure our group's requests were tended to. Keep it up guys!

I am so impressed with Mel's Place! The service is beyond amazing. My friends brought me there to celebrate my birthday and its one that I'll remember. Thank you for the lava birthday cake, great food and wicked hot delicious chicken wings. We'll be back soon!

Love the overall package of this bar and resto - price is affordable and food is delicious especially the chicken wings, fish and chips and satay with standard. 👌 Service was excellent - the staff changed but the management trained the new team to be accommodating and we'll trained. Special mention to Belle and Priya who treated us well in our visit and evn my friends first time they enjoyed the visit! Definitely a place to come back and chill with friends.

base on my own first experience, the only thing they are lack of is a live band. the atmosphere will be complete and perfect if there's 1. they have some background music though. playlist was good and they don't play it too loud. anyway, the place is windy, deco with little bulb streaks. we only ordered 1 pizza and some drinks and it was super good. price was alright, pretty standard where u will pay at places like this. staff were friendly. maybe because it was a Monday, there were more staff than customers so we frequently get eyes turning to us 😆

Got the cheesy prawn and I was sorely disappointed. The plating looked so pathetic. The garlic cheese on the prawn didn't go well together, they tasted like two different things as the cheese didn't even stick to the prawns. Two pieces only for a main dish? Surely for the price paid it could be better. My family members got the nasi goreng and it was okay, but super low effort as they just added in some popcorn chicken as the protein which can be easily done at home yourself too. The carbonara tasted more mushroomy and creamy, so those who prefer stronger and less surfeiting flavours should avoid it. The only good thing was the vanilla milkshake. Service was a little below average. Asked a staff to refill our water but she forgot about it. Had to ask another staff. Will not be back.

Loved the place! The ambiance, the music, the staff, everything is great. We ordered vegetarian pizza, Guinness chicken, beer,house pour red & white wine. I loved the wine. They were really good. The pizza & the chicken were delicious as well. It’s hard to say, which one was better. The staff is very nice, sweet, attentive.

Nice garden setting. No frills drinks served by friendly people that seemed more like friends. If your after fancy drinks, this may not be your jam, but if you wanna go where everybody knows your name, then you've come to the perfect place

Nice place to dine in the evening. Some imdoor sits, but most are outdoor. The food are very good. Pizza and pork bee hoon are great choices.

The food is so delicious! The staff there are very friendly and the environment is very peaceful and calm. The place is very unique unlike most restaurants I've been to. On top of that, as today is father's day, they came up with a very thoughtful idea by giving all fathers a peg of wine. I highly recommend this restaurant to people who appreciate good food and a nice environment!

A place on her own. Parking at $5 but waived if spending is $100. The pizza was Nice as thin crust. Happy hours till 7pm. Could have given 5stars if not for mosquitoes although they have mosquitoe coil below table.

Enjoyed a good dinner here during Valentines. Though the place was too crowded - managed to get a good seating in the outdoor gardens beside the fountain. Food was good, although it did take some time to get our order served - understandably so. The main highlight was indeed the outdoor seating which was very well lit during the night.

The place is nice, very big outdoor seating with greenery. Service is attentive. Happy hour is very good. Food is ok. I ordered the sausages platter. The so called Italian sausage and chorizo sausage aren't really authentic Italian and Spanish sausages, but a local version. In any case they were OK. The portion is generous. Price wise is good.
