You can see wonderful Swiss Alps in the background, doesn’t matter where you are looking from. A beautiful, magnificent lake which borders three countries : Germany, Austria and Switzerland. A boat ride from Constanz till Lindau is highly recommended. Just feel the waves and the deep blue water of the lake while riding a boat. For us it was a great experience to ride from Constanz to Lindau. And don’t forget to sit alongside the countless restaurants, cafe and Biergartens; sipping your favorite drink and admiring the beauty of the lake and the Alps in the background.

Travel by train or by car, this place gives you an incredible views of the Swiss Alps.Sip a beer in front of the many restaurants and enjoy the view.You could take a boat ride as well. Try to avoid parking at P4 as its expensive.

Impressive clean lake. I went there to take a walk and I was amazed to see so many swans and different types of ducks. At sunset you will be able to see Switzerland lightning up if there will be no fog.

Lake Constance has many things to offer, from the sprawling vineyards around it, to paddleboarding, fishing, parasailing and so much more. Just the drive around the lake, would take you days to finish, but the small towns along the way are full of festivals and things to do.

Lake shares borders with Germany, Switzerland and Austria with Majority of it shared by BW, Germany and around 78kms by Swiss and the rest by Austria. There are ferries every 20-30 mins and would cost €3.60 per person one way and around €6.50 for a return ticket. Prices differ for motorcycles, Cars, trucks and Buses. If you’re here on a visit, Make sure to carry coffee or some snacks before getting on to the ferry as it gets challenging to find a nearest one(you might have to get in to the city for that). Another closer attraction is the AIRBUS which is around 12-15 kms from this place.

Beautiful place. It’s a lake which is share for 3 countries i.e Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The place is having pretty good cafes and restaurants with a good view of the lake(which indeed doesn’t look like one🤪). Pretty decent place to visit with your loved ones.

Konstanz, which gave its name to the lake, is the largest settlement around the lake with a population of 80 thousand. Medieval buildings in the old town are very well preserved. The lake has a very beautiful view, clean and clear, a car ferry is cool & systemic to move a nother side of the lake, the journey across was take 12-15 minuets. The ALP mountains chain is very clear to enjoy this amazing view

Today 15 August 2022 the Bodensee isn’t the place to visit, because of the heatwave in Europe this lake is about 3 feet lower then normal, from a distance it still looks magnificent, but if you go closer to the lake its shocking.

For entering Switzerland from Germany, this 40-minute Ferry is the most fun way to Cross Swiss German border "Lake Constance". Crossing Lake Constance by Ferry is an ideal option to not just cross the lake, you can also travel to another Country very easy. Around Lake Constance are three Countries located, Germany, Switzerland and small part of Austria. I experienced this unique crossing while travelling to Zurich from Prague on Bus. At the start of Lake, our bus went inside a ferry and it took us to the other side of Lake that was Swiss part. Thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience.

It is one of the beautiful areas that I visited. It has a large lake and a large garden. I advise everyone to visit the garden, ride on the ship, and enjoy the atmosphere and scenery.

Beautiful lake surrounded by switzerland, austria and germany. Always a lot people walking their dogs around. Lots of activities on the lake as well and lots of boats, fishing and water sports going on.

One of the mist beautiful places in Germany I've been. A tour around the lake is a good idea.

A beautiful lake especially from the area of Meersburg. You have lots of small authentic towns around and of course the more touristic place Constance, but it has less charm. You can swim, do boat tours, visit islands, walk , go to restaurants and cafés. It is also surrounded by vineyards.

Truly beautiful and relaxing! We went for an early morning swim in September and it was wonderful. Definitely would love to come back again.

Lake Constance is one of the most beautiful place in Europe. You can see the shorelines of three different countries Switzerland,Germany and Austria.

When stationed in Germany several couples of us went camping here. It was a wonderful experience and such beautiful surroundings! Go if you can. There are of course lots of hotels, we just couldn’t afford them! 😂
