Rossfeld - Skihütte Gasthof

This is the only restaurant at the top of the mountain and they had coffee, soups, bread and desserts. The chef got us a special apple strudel which is apparently their special way of serving and plating it, and it was really super yum! Nothing like having a warm dessert and hot chocolate on the top of a snowy mountain when it’s drizzling :)

Drive up the road from Hallein thru salt mine village Duürrenberg. Toll road passes into Bavaria, Germany. Great views on clear days. Both Austria and Bavaria, Germany can be seen. Impressive mountains like Untersberg, Hoher Göll any many others can be seen or reached via trekking paths. Few mountain huts too

Surprisingly good food for a Ski Hütte! The service had everything under control. Too bad we had to go back skiing I would not have minded having a few more beers.

Beautiful views of the Alps and fun drive on mountain road. Parking lots with viewing points across the area. Didn't find any place to eat, but there is one restroom at the top.

Friendly and welcoming even though we arrived close to closing time. Delicious homemade cake and hot chocolate.
