My family and I will not be returning to Apex. I thought it would be a nice treat to take my wife and 3 kids to Apex this weekend. Apparently masks are the least of their priorities. I noticed a group of workers socializing without masks on and asked of the policy. They laughed and walked away. I wish I did the research on this place before coming! A quick Google news search shows their lax take on this pandemic and their owner suing the Governor! Isn't this a FAMILy entertainment center! Shame on you! Lastly, there was no mini golf as advertised. This place isn't cheap either! Put customers and their safety first! Or take the family out of your mission statement!

My 8 yr old son and I recently visited the Apex center in Marlborough. We had an absolute blast! Highlights were the glow-in-the-dark mini-golf course and the arcade. My son was too short for the go-karts, but that was clear from checking the website in advance. We'll definitely be coming back soon for laser tag and bowling!

Wow! What an attraction for kids and parents! Bowling, arcade, mini golf, go carts, axe throwing, kids play area, and much more. My family bowled for 1.5 hours in the VIP room. Usual bar food selection, but at a higher quality than other places. Full bar with beers on tap. Then we made our way to the kids play area ($7/kid per 30min). Then to the arcade - great mix of games for all ages. Overall, spent 3 hours there and kids are fast asleep in the car with their prizes.

No type of safe precautions nor social distancing in place. I never seen an employee wiping down any of the games. My anxiety was super high. Luckily I was there to celebrate my little cousins birthday. I drove almost two hours just to get there. No more visits for me until they have better safety precautions in place.

Two words... DON'T BOTHER! I was a professional bowler and the lanes are SLICK! I also coached JV bowling and worked at Home Depot. My life partner, Joey, said the arcade was AWFUL! He played Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles professionally and said he should have received at least 3 times the tickets! He's never wrong! He also said the claw machines are rigged! We spent $2,000 without even getting a plush toy! Unacceptable! That was our honeymoon money. We won't be returning!

Celebrated my daughters birthday party here and everyone had a blast. The food was actually good. Order food for about a group for 20+ people and the staff was very attentive. The bowling alley was great and clean. The atmosphere was fun and friendly great for families. The arcade was a bit crowded , but we went to Apex Kids and Apex bumper cars. Was a great birthday party!

Great place to have family entertainment. Plenty of games to be played. It's located on different floors. It has a gym, bowling alley, mini golf, go carting, arcade games, break out room etc., Covid19 protocol strictly followed. Better to book in advance for certain games. Trampalin park for kids. Sanitisers kept every where. Masks compulsory. However many of the games were not open in the morning. Most of them open after 3 pm, perhaps during weekdays. One can have drinks and food while bowling. Plenty of car parking available. Wheelchair access is there. Washrooms are available. Many offers are available for regular customers and members.

So much fun the go carts go between 35- 45 mph the track is a good size with 2 floors the go carts drift nice around corners however you do need to sign a waiver and they have the right to use a breathalyzer before you start the race they have a arcade with air hockey they have bumper boats and a full Lazer tag course that's 2 floors there's a bowling alley and a bar they have drinks food and beverages they also have a ropes corse that's above the arcade area they have a pool room clean bathrooms the building also has a axe throwing place a planet fitness on up stairs each race is 25 dollars a person and we'll worth it you get atleast 11- 12 laps each race you do have to wear a helmet to race buy highly recommend place is fun

Arrived here with the family, Second attempt... poorly staffed ; 5 people behind one desk other desks not staffed at all. Waited 30 minutes no proper signage to know where to stand to sign up for the 3 things you can do? No Axe throwing but arcade is open? Go carts you cant book online to know if its full ???? It was. Not enough servers so after wasting an hour running up and down the stairs, several times to find someone for the sports simulator rooms. we were told not enough servers to come up go down yourself again!!!! This place is so disorganized; Sat night not enough staff! Tried playing the COVID card... Im sick of that,

Speaking as a mother of 2, desperate for a fun night out, don't bother! There really isn't much to do! We had fun here in the past but that feels like a distant memory. Short staffed, not much to do. Food was never anything special but it was fine. Now it's inedible. Hopefully things get better soon and we can come enjoy Apex like we remember it!

They don't do enough sanitizing of the arcade games. I spent an hour there and didn't see anyone wiping the games down. Saftey should be a priority.

The Arcade was a big hit for my children ages 11 and 9. HOWEVER, we were very disappointed that the age to drive the GoKarts was 16. That seems ridiculous. They are not automobiles. We didn’t do the other activities as the Arcade Games were about $2.50 per try. We spent $100 in about 60 minutes. The prizes were fun for the kids. Unless you live really close to this business, it may be less expensive and more Enjoyable to hit up a less commercialized establishment.

Went with a big party of 9 people and made a reservation to bowl for 2 hours ahead of time. Staff were friendly and manged to get everything for us we asked for. Our server, Patrick(?) Was also really great!! It was a lot of fun and the food was really good BUT the 2 lanes that we were on our broke down a couple times which chopped away at our time. Just there wear and tear of mechanical issues. The staff only added 5 extra minutes to our time... Which is better than nothing when we waited longer than that but I get it that it was a Sunday and the place was packed and I'm sure they had a lot of bookings. After bowling, we headed upstairs to the third floor for Acts throwing and only had to wait about 20 minutes for our party to start throwing. Reasonable prices for an hour and a half of throwing axes was awesome. Haven't been there in forever and will definitely want to go back in the future!

Did not expect so see alcohol being drunk so rampant! Didn't matter if it was bowling, arcade, or anywhere else in the facility! Not sure who decided to put the BAR right in the middle of everything! If you want to be raunchy and cater to adults acting like children, just say so and open accordingly! Jeesh! Just wanted my kids to have some fun at an advertised "family entertainment center" but instead they kept asking me what was happening!

Today was the second time I've ever been here, and it was pretty good once again. There really is so, so much to do here. For adults and children alike, you'll have a blast. Some of the help is pretty rude and act like you're bothering them, but they are teenagers that probably don't really want to be there. So dont expect them to be aiming for employee of the month. Me and my daughter both ordered chicken, cooked 2 different ways. The batch of chicken they had was really tough. Not edible, but this is out of their control. Was cooked good.. not the chefs fault, was just bad chicken. They had no issues at all taking them off of our bill and making us something else. We got burgers and they were great! The rope walk wasn't open which was kind of a bummer. Not sure why they wouldn't open it all weekend. The kids who seemed bothered that I asked about it said it's only open on Saturdays. She really was looking forward to that and couldn't do it, so that kind of stinks. But we were able to do it the first time we came a few years ago. It's really cool walking around over everyone up there! Today we tried the mini golf. Wasn't bad at all! Not the funnest mini golf course you'll play.. or the most challanging, but the glow and dark and black light design of it is awesome. Alien style. Very cool. Arcade is fun. Lots of awesome games. Fair warning on the tickets though. Be on point. Considering I spent 53 dollars on games, yielding around 850 tickets. Would have been a great look if the girl working the counter let us keep the 4 tootsies out of the 3 pounds of candy my daughter chose lol. She used her phone calculator and went over it 5 times before we went to the desk. We were told we were 20 points over and that she'd have to take those back. Seriously?! Unlike the kids we asked about the rope walk.. this girl is definitely going for employee of the month. Because that's kind of ridiculous. Someone might wna tell her it's okay to let it slide if someone's a little over. Especially if its for a few mini tootsie rolls. On fathers day. She wasn't mean about it.. but me and my daughter both looked at each other like "really" ??? Bumper cars are a waste of money, we did those the first time we came. Lame. The race cars and are throwing look fun! I'll be trying those with my girlfriend another time. The escape room I'd like to try also.

Very poorly run. Came here with all family. Spent night running up and down stairs. No axe throwing. We were told to sign up online. This didn't help. Most of night spent disorganized and no direction. Some people here some people there. Kept hearing covid covid. Ok I understand but it has to be better than this. Very very disappointed. Most of night spent in disarray. Treated badly. Won't be back

First and foremost this is actually my first time visiting a big amusement center. It has between 3 to 4 floors. Offers bowling, laser tag, go kart racing, bumper cars, mini golf, ropes course, sports stimulator, entire floor of arcade, and other services. It is crowded over the weekend, we were at Apex entertainment center around 8PM. Some of their services were fully booked due to early reservations! However the waiting for everything else was decent & not too long. Anywhere between 1-5 minutes. Also very affordable & budget friendly. Perfect for birthday parties or family day! Will definitely suggest everyone to make reservations for the most popular services such as ; Go kart racing, Mini Golf, Bowling, and etc. Overall it was a solid 4/5 we enjoyed ourselves & the kids were also very happy and satisfied.

Tonight was an absolute testimony to what good customer service and management can be. We had planned to go to Apex but on our drive we had a family issue but decided it was best to still go. Upon arrival we had an interaction with off duty management (Mike Costa?) And it truly made not only our night but our whole trip home. Mike became aware that someone in our group had some sort of (family) emergency and through his kindness he not only convinced us to stay but allowed us to love our time here. He and every staff member were absolutely amazing and due to their kindness we will be back. We loved the arcade, we LOVED the go karts, and the bowling was great but because of Mike and the staff we will recommend, return, and hold Apex in such high regard. Thanks again Mike and Apex!

Our WHOLE family loves Apex!!! What an amazing place to blow off some steam and have next level fun…any day of the week! The size is HUGE - 100,000 square feet of fun for everyone. Plan our tour experience a bit in advance because there’s just so many options once on-site - 30 lanes of bowling, a multi-level indoor go-kart track, laser tag, bumper cars, sport simulators, mini golf, and 70+ awesome arcade games. Seriously, what isn’t there to do at APEX? All the fun & games of course means you work up an appetite! The food options are AWESOME! Bars on both levels and there’s the Pit Stop Tavern restaurant. Of course you can grab pizza, burgers, sandwiches, salads, you name it! They even are home of New England’s largest pretzel! Plus, for the healthier crew - they have a partnership with Awaken 180 so there’s a solid menu of leaner and greener fare too! Thirsty? Go big with Beer Buckets to Vodka Pitchers! There’s private party space and all kinds of birthday party packages. But, we don’t wait for a special event to go to Apex… because going to Apex IS the event!

Lots of great options for entertaining all ages. Brought my little girls here to play in the new apex kids and, while on the smaller side, it kept them entertained for a good hour. Rates were affordable and the place was pretty clean. We did go during a mild snow storm so it was pretty empty but that was a huge bonus. I do imagine it wouldn’t be a pleasant experience if it was peak hours and crowds given the size. Having the big arcade downstairs was a big plus afterwards

Fun to hang with friends here however there are to many children that are very annoying I'd say just get rid of the children and then it's perfect.

We went on Sunday with my 3yr old and had to wait an hour to bowl, which wasn’t bad because we played at the arcade while we waited for a lane. When we got to our lane (27) I realized all the bowling balls were too heavy for my 3yr old, when I asked the attendant who was in that area she was rude and said I needed to go back to the counter and ask for candlepin lane, which I had no idea what she meant nor did I know I had to specifically ask for that type of lane. The attendant who handled my reservation should’ve asked me what type or atleast informed me of the options seeing I had a 3yr old with me. He also specifically asked if he was bowling so therefore he shouldve notified me of the difference between regular lane and candlepin. Anyway, we stayed in the 27 lane, and ordered a platter that came with 3 different appetizers and our food was cold and wasn’t that great either. I’m not sure I’ll go back there due to poor customer service and prices are high.

Frustrating experience during most recent visit. Booked an online reservation for go carts to take my kid brother out for the holiday. Came in reviewed safely info, started riding. About 2 laps in and see them pulling him out of a car and the says “we’re removing him from track because he’s gotten stuck 2x and needed help” I confirm with the attendant that he’s not being unsafe and hasn't crashed and it’s just because it’s a new rule. We’re the only two on the track and this hasn't come up during the video, or the one time I got stuck when the car wouldn't go over the top of a hill. We both leave a little frustrated, but figure we’ll eat lunch check out the other attractions and try to salvage the day. I share our experience with the trainer while refilling our cards (kiosk don’t work apparently) and she grabs a manager who is sympathetic and offers to refund most what we spent ($50 of the $60). I’m appreciative but still annoyed. We eat lunch and off to games. Other attractions/games were subpar. A lot of what we try to play isn’t working or in laughably small spaces (bumper cars are in a corner) While the people are nice, and food was decent the end result was a frustrating that felt very underwhelming.

A huge center with a variety of options for everyone. We came as a group of 15 on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm. It was busy but we were able to make a reservation for bowling and go karts without an issue. The lines for both ended up getting pretty long as the day progressed so I'd recommend going earlier rather than later. We made a reservation ahead of time for laser tag, which was fun. One member of our party had malfunctioned gear though, so he had to deal with that in the middle of the game. For bowling, we got three lanes, but my lane's scoring system was completely messed up. The workers spent about half an hour trying to fix it but when they weren't able to get it fixed, they moved us to a different lane, which meant we were separated from the rest of our party. They were nice about it though, and made sure to give us the entire hour that we paid for. Overall, a fun experience minus the technical difficulties.

This is a great indoor entertainment center, well designed, managed and maintained. Impressive amenities including go-karts, bowling, arcade and a bar/restaurant. On weekends it's quite crowded and loud, probably more pleasant on weekdays. Very good experience 👌

Apex is surely the perfect name for this place. It is the epitome of an "all in one" place to go. You've got the arcade, bumper cars and sky walk which is perfect for the kids. In the same area you have an awesome lazer tag arena for all ages. Next to this whole area is the (in my opinion) highlight. The go kart track. They're fast, the roads are just challenging enough where any adult can have a blast as opposed to some courses where you feel you're just going in circles. On the other side of the course is a top of the line bowling alley accompanied with a restaurant and bar. Move up to the 4th floor and you have an axe throwing area which is surprisingly fun. Next to that is the glow in the dark mini golf course which always fun at any age. Inbetween those is the trampoline room which is definitely going to provide you with some good old feelings of nostalgia. I highly recommend this venue for any event. Birthday party, date night, boys or girls night out, all around, you will have a good time without a doubt.

We did mini golf, laser tag, arcades and go carts. In total we spent 3 1/2 hours doing the 4 things. Go carts were great, lots of laps for the price. Laser tag was ok, wish the staff would have made the teams even, 10 on 4 was not super fun. But the laser tag layout was good. Mini golf was fun and unique. The arcade was very expensive, some games required 10 tokens. Over all staff was friendly but lots of staff standing around chatting or on their phones. There was trash everywhere, maybe some of those staff could have been picking up trash off the floor. Overall we had a great time but dropped a lot of $$$ for a family of 4.

  • 4/5 Don K. 8 months ago on Google
Huge place with tons of things to do. Food was solid in restaurant. Go karts are now 16 + with valid drivers license or permit only, which limits the family fun component. We were in there for almost 2 hours and noone racing. Sounds like changes made for safety purposes which is very valid but obviously losing some business by having to make the change. Hoping they find a way to get approved carts for under 16 to bring that option back as the track is really cool and was super fun when we did it a couple years ago.

Everything you'd wanna to do on a night out in one location🥰 They could skip the planet fitness n just add make that an IMAX theatre but hey still love it. One downfall is that feels like it closes so early for so much to do. 11pm on a Fri-Sat night? Parens night out seems to end too soon but def a good time.

  • 2/5 James B. 6 months ago on Google
Friday through Sunday: If you like nickel and dime payment for individual entertainment items with no packages, this is your place. Everything is timed but not well sequenced in scheduling. So if you book Lazer tag at 1:48 which runs until 2 o'clock you will miss the 2 o'clock ropes course because they force you to be there 2 minutes early. Also you can't get a refund if you miss you window. The only economical way to play here is with a birthday party. Birthday parties start at $500 and the pricing isn't listed anywhere so you need to call or email them for pricing.

My son celebrated his 21st birthday weekend with his two best friends at the Apex and stayed at the Fairfield Inn nearby. He said they had a great time both days they spent there. The only issue they had was the confusion of the dollar amount on the gift cards I prepaid for them. I put $60 on each card that came with 364 bonus points. When they went to order food, they had very little cash left on the card because to our surprise, the cash was converted instantly to 240 points which they had already spent in the arcade. I wish the cash and the points were separated so there wouldn't be any room for confusion. Other than that, the boys had a great gamers weekend.

We went the 1st weekend they reopened after lockdown and had a blast. My kids had been with friends but it was my 1st time. We had way too much fun beating Centipede a few times and got so many tickets from the Arcade that they all left with large prizes. The go cart racing was a lot of fun too! Due to restrictions (at that specific time) that was all we were able to do but it was well worth the visit. When things can open up 100% again we will definitely be back! Also, the employees we encountered were all awesome! My son dropped his card (we just loaded) in between a couple machines and they didn’t hesitate to help us out. Wish I had a place like this when I was a kid!
