Totally amazing little railway. Only costs £1.50 (Per person) It takes a out 7mins to go round the track. But is so worth it if you have kids. The staff and setting is really fun. Very safe and great fun for the whole family. They run lots of different trains and are more than happy to chat about it if you ask questions! Weekend only.

AVOID, serious eye injury waiting to happen!!! I took my 2 year old son to enjoy a bank holiday ride. We were lucky to find a seat at the front, little did we know what was about to occur. Halfway round the journey my son screamed out in agony, I looked down and could see a piece of hot coal in my sons eye, the young lad who was driving heard his cries and turned round and said, that will be some ‘ash’. Luckily I was able to remove the coal from his eye instantly, . A clear plastic screen between engine/driver and passengers would prevent any coal from the engine hitting passengers. When I raised the incident with management I was told ‘this was an act of god’ and in 21 years has ‘only’ happened a few times. One time is enough! They didn’t seem too concerned in making the steam engines safe going forward and simply offered an apology. AVOID! My sons eye whilst a little swollen seems ok on this occasion, in the future the next person may not be so lucky.

We had a great morning on the Dragon railway.. we took the Father Christmas train to the grotto. Our two year old absolutely loved it and our 11 year old enjoyed it far more than we thought he would. The train driver was a lovely lad who took photos for us when the train had to wait a moment. Reasonable priced also. Thanks

This is such a lovely ride on experience, all run by people who clearly have a passion for miniature railways. The second hand toy shop is a great idea to help raise funds.

Our son absolutely loves trains so visiting here was simple decision. However once on the train it was clear the driver had concerns about the safety of the train, regularity stopped (whilst looking panicked and running around), before swearing. Meanwhile bits of hot embers were landing on and around us. Never again.

Took my 6 year old daughter who has autism on the Santa train and even though it was raining she enjoyed every moment of it. The staff were friendly and Santa was nice with my daughter and understood her disability. This is cash only

The best miniature railway around and only £1.50 per person, under 2's are free. The staff are so lovely here and at Christmas and Halloween the track and tunnels are all dressed up to suit, not sure about Easter, cute little shop and also a little tram the children can drive themselves for 50p. I think its usually open Saturday and Sunday and every day in the school holidays.

I adore this place, from the volunteers to the trains and the way my little one lights up when we arrive! Its truly a little gem and I am very grateful for those involved. Great for all ages!!

We came to visit on the run up to Christmas with my 2 year old grandson who is train mad … he loved every minute on the Santa Train.. the look on his face was a picture and the experience was as magical for us as it was for him.. going through the tunnel and listening to all the little ones and the big people when we drove though just made the ride perfect … Thankyou xx

Quaint and certainly not commercial. Maybe twee. I've been once with grandson. He's been lots of times with mum. He loves it. At moment it's Halloween and he knows the tunnels, where the spiders and witches are! No time ti ask but suspect run by volunteers and hobbyist people. At end there's a 2nd hand toy shop(shed) . Buy something and or give something. I gave some unused hotwheels cars... just hope daughter doesn't buy them back next visit !

Brilliant little place. They have miniature steam and diesel trains. Both are £1.50 per ride. Special displays on for Halloween and Christmas. Good value toy trains available in the shop. The staff are very friendly and enthusiastic.

I absolutely love taking my grandchildren on the railway and do so as often as I can . I have taken them on the santa train for the last few years and don't mind queuing, however I paid £30 for myself and 4 grandchildren on Saturday and although it was well decorated aa always the gift fall apart when we got home I don't expect anything great but this was very disappointing. All 4 gifts were broken within a matter of hours, I think its time to upgrade the gifts please. ..

A brilliant little miniature railway, great for kids. The staff are very pleasant and clearly enjoy what they do. Tickets are £1.50 each and sold in the little shop next to the track, along with a variety of toys.

Brilliant little Miniature railway. Run by volunteer enthusiasts. Been going there for the past 10 years with various Grandchildren who have all loved it. Always go at Christmas when they have Santa. Lovely people. Cant fault it.

What a hidden gem. Nearly missed this when we stopped off at Doppies. For a £1 fare (adult/child same price) they take you round a great route. They stop off at a large play area, perfect for the kiddies to run around and burn off some energy. Be sure to plan time in for this on your next visit.

For a £1 a ride, honestly you cannot go wrong, it's short but really good fun, kids and adults will enjoy it.

We took our nine month old son on here today and he absolutely loved it! We came at about 4pm and there was no queue at all. The lady at the box office was very friendly, as were the train drivers. The train ride lasted a decent length of time without being too long and drove through some of the lovely scenery surrounding Dobbies garden centre.

It's a mini railway a delight for children aswell as adults, the staff are very friendly, prices are competitive, during the festive season, there is a grotto with a Santa and a present at the end of the train ride. Prices again very competitive.

Great little ride on train for families. We come each year to the Halloween specials and Christmas specials. The kids love it and the tunnels are themed depending on the time of year. The volunteers running the trains do a tremendous job in all weather and are really friendly too.

Lots of fun for small train lovers. Lovely staff. Such a shame the outdoor play area was closed today.

What a fantastic little railway, took my son on it and at £1 each you have to ride more than once. The playground half way round was a pleasant surprise.

Fantastic little train ride. We went for a special night time Halloween service which we all thoroughly enjoyed. All the staff were very lovely and helpful. We'll definitely be back soon

I took the young 'un and baby on a couple of trips of the railway, we loved it. You can't exactly make a day of it (although suppose you could try) as the round trip isn't long - although with that said it was a fair ride for £1! You don't need to pay for babies. If you do decide to make a bit more of your ride there is the option to stop about 3/4 way round where they have some outdoor toys and a trampoline etc. Staff are friendly and you can park right outside in the garden centre car park.
