The Riad is breathtakingly beautiful! Everything from the rooftop, to the lounge area and the best part - the pool! During hot summer days it’s an amazing place to just hang and relax. The rooms however lacked privacy. Our main door was made of wood and you couldn’t close it properly, which meant that it always had an open crack of 1-2 centimeters. This compromised the sound isolation, you could hear conversations from the pool to the rooftop. The amenities itself was also a bit old, our shower head fell off in the middle of a shower and the one it was replace with had very bad water stream. The people however was lovely, always happy with a great service mentality! Overall would recommend if you want a beautiful place to hang out in and if you don’t plan to spend too much time in the room.

I would like to thank all of the staff at Riad Sakkan for being SO supportive during our stay. Unfortunately we have experienced the earthquake during our stay, but I have never felt as safe as with the Riad Sakkan team. They have made sure that all of their guests safety comes first and have managed this awful situation more than well! The Hotel is absolutely amazing and nonetheless of the whole situation, our stay has been absolutely amazing. The food, the rooms, the Hotel itself and the service has been the best I have probably experienced so far in my life (and I have been in a lot of top 5* hotel, so I’m speaking out of experience here). I would like to thank everyone there for our wonderful stay and I would always want to return only there when I stay in Marrakesh! I’m already planning my next trip here and so should you! This hotel deserves more than just 4* and I wish everyone and their families all the best! You guys are great!!!

Stunning Riad with large rooms and exceptional service. Staff was friendly and professional. Location was amazing, everything on our itinerary was within walking distance. Had an early flight and accommodations were made to have coffee in the room before departing. Thank you for that!

Sakkan was a really nice Riad, but a few small things could make it perfect. First off the service was top notch - the staff was AMAZING. Really appreciated everything they did for us during our stay. The location in the Medina was fantastic as well. Couldn’t have picked a better spot. The room was nice, but you could hear so much surround sound that it was a bit difficult to sleep at times. I understand part of this is due to it being an old building, but I do think there are ways to minimize the sound level of the doorbell, rooftop and even bathroom from within the room. Perhaps even providing earplugs would be a nice touch. There were also a lot of flies on the rooftop - I understand that is a lot of Marrakesh, but perhaps there are ways to attract them towards one specific area of the rooftop, to help reduce their reach throughout. Overall we had a really good experience, but small improvements could be made to make it the best.

Sakkan is one of the most incredible places I have ever stayed. It is an incredible mixture of modern comfort with stunning old world beauty. It is impossible for the pictures to do it justice. We came here on our honeymoon after the earthquake; the hotel is a newer building and thankfully suffered no damage save a few broken glasses. When you walk in you first notice the incredible smell which has been carefully chosen and dispersed throughout the riad. The service is 5-star, Ismael ran the restaurant and bar and was so welcoming and helpful. We had a hammam and a massage with two wonderful women and I have never been more relaxed in my life. The beef tagine was easily the nicest we had in Marrakech, and I can’t imagine a nicer spot than the rooftop bar for a drink. The riad is right in the Medina, we easily walked to wherever we needed to go. The entire riad is truly an oasis, from the staffs kindness and attention to detail to the gorgeous rooms. We will absolutely be back!!!

Sakkan was the best place we stayed during our 10-day trip around Morocco. The riad is beautiful and the staff are so helpful and welcoming. We arranged transportation to/from the riad, we were met with a lux sprinter van at the airport and a luggage attendant upon arriving to the Medina to take our bags to the riad. The room was spacious, clean, had AC, and the beds were beyond comfortable. Everything from the terrace and pool area on the first floor, to the bar and lounge rooftop were spectacular. The breakfast was delicious and generous—yogurt and granola, fruit, coffee/tea, fresh juice, bread/croissant, plus eggs, Morocco pancakes or merguez. Dinner was also amazing, we ate here all but one night. We had the best interactions with the dining staff; both our breakfast and dinner serves went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. We will definitely stay here again.

Riad Sakkan, located in the heart of the Medina, stole our heart. The most beautiful place with the best host and service. We, 2 friends, enjoyed staying there. Veerle and her team helped us discovering the city with good tips. The rooftop is nice to have a drink or lunch. We really reommend this place. We will definitely come back.

Dear management and staff at Riad Sakkan, My friend and I were guests at your establishment on two occasions, September 12th, 13th and again September 21st,during our vacation to Morocco.  To say that we were overwhelmed with the experience would be an understatement.  From the moment we arrived we felt like we were not only welcome, but treasured guests at your hotel.  Every single staff member greeted us with a smile and the impression that they wished to do everything in their power to make our visit as enjoyable as possible.  As an example, I am an early riser, generally waking up around 5 am.  This was true during our visit as one morning I woke early and made my way up to the roof top.  Less than 3 minutes after arriving, one of your staff members turned on a soft light, greeted me and offered me coffee to start my morning.   I thought I was alone, but our of nowhere, your staff was on hand and eager to assist and provide to ensure my comfort.  Second example, a pair of pants were accidentally left in the wardrobe after our first visit.  With one phone call, the staff had already found the pants and were more than happy to hold to the side for us to retrieve on our second stay. Also, the amenities and property were not just well maintained, but sparkling clean and truly impeccable.  Not one single thing was out of place or negative during our two stays.  It is our hope that we will be able to once again visit Morocco and stay with you to have another great experience.   In addition, we will be shouting your praises far and wide to all that we speak with in the future who plan to visit Marrakech.  It is our desire that you continue to succeed in creating wonderful memories and experiences for all that are lucky enough to stay at your riad. If I could give this place more stars I would. Everything here is completely perfect, the decor, the food, the drinks, but what stands out is the service. Every member of staff here offer an outstanding level of service, and our stay was during Ramadan so I’m sure they were all fairly tired and hungry, but still they offer perfect service. Well done to all at Sakkan for making our stay so wonderful. We will most definitely return.

We had the most wonderful time at Riad Sakkan, highly recommend anyone travelling to Marrakesh to stay at this most beautiful Riad. Definitely one of the best interiors of Marrakesh Riads, the Riad has been decorated with great taste and sense for design. The Manager, Veerle, was extremely helpful. She went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect stay, assisting us with recommendations for day trips and tour guides. The staff were most helpful and very friendly too. Said and Smail were always there to greet us with a smile and helped us with anything we needed during our stay. The location of the Riad is perfectly placed in the Medina, in a quiet corner but meters away from the souks and most amazing bars/restaurants. We would definitely stay again at Riad Sakkan.

Highly recommend Riad Sakkan for anyone visiting Marrakech. A green lush paradise, the courtyard has a stylish pool and is adorned with beautiful huge plants while the sound of running water from the fountain instantly calms your senses. Also a stunning rooftop terrace, the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring the frenetic streets of the Medina. We stayed in the exquisite MasterSuite, a luxurious space with a huge copper bathtub in the middle of it, such a dream!! Exceptional service provided by the staff, and the kindest and delightful owners, they went above and beyond to ensure that your stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Had the best time!

Amazing location. In the Medina area but not far from the street where you can hail a cab and go to other parts of town. The ambiance of the property is great. Delicious breakfast and hospitality. The staff was very helpful and responsive. The rooms are well designed although it could get a little dark.

We could not have had a better stay at Sakkan! Veerle and the entire team are top notch and extremely attentive and caring. We came shortly after the earthquake and felt completely safe and in good hands because of this team. The Riad itself is stunningly beautiful and a perfect place of peace in the middle of Marrakech. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and enjoying the delicious food at the restaurant on site. We will certainly return and would recommend any friends to stay here if their travels take them to Marrakech.

Outstanding Riad Experience in Marrakech! We just came back from Riad Sakkan in Marrakech and had an unforgettable experience. Despite an earthquake, the Riad remained intact, showcasing its solid construction. What truly made this stay exceptional was the incredible staff. Their kindness and professionalism during the earthquake reassured us, and their warm hospitality throughout our stay was impeccable. The Riad itself is a beautiful oasis in the heart of Marrakech, exuding Moroccan charm. The architecture, pool, and rooftop terrace were stunning. I can't recommend Riad Sakkan enough. The hotel has the best location, with the most quickest walks around all the local must see attractions and food spots around. The hotel itself is like an oasis compared to the hustle and bustle outside its doors. The courtyards are a total bliss and the rooftop bar and restaurant is like the best! Lastly, but not most importantly, the service by each member of staff is next to non. From the porter all the way to all the bar and restaurant staff, they make you feel like your in one of the best hotels in the world! Cudos to our main man, Ali who looked after us like we were family. We really enjoyed the hospitality of this place. It felt like home. The service we received at Riad Sakkan is nothing short of excellent. The knowledge of hostess Veerle is an absolute added value for people who only have a few days to explore this amazing city. She shows you the way, also towards some less touristy top activities, she books all the restaurants with the greatest ease. Everything we wanted was arranged for us, what a luxury! Excellent location, in the middle of the vibrant old town, and yet, as soon as you arrive at the riad, you enter a true oasis of peace and coolness. Every day we enjoyed a little quiet time in the nice afternoon shade by the pool before exploring the exciting fine dining options this magical city has to offer. The possibilities are endless. Next time we will definitely choose Riad Sakkan again.

Great, central location in the Medina of Marrakesh. The Riad is tastefully decorated with quality furniture and fittings - no "kitsch" to be detected anywhere. Staff and service were also excellent. Thanks to the always on-point recommendations of the manager, hostess Veerle de Pauw, we were able to avoid the usual "tourist traps", experiencing only places with great food and a special atmosphere. You can trust her suggestions. You should ask Ms. de Pauw to book a table for you - at least everytime we did this, we ended up with one of the best tables in the entire restaurant.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sakkan, the rhiyad is so beautifully designed, the staff are extremely attentive and friendly, the owners are also wonderful people and are constantly found chatting with guests, making sure that everything is OK. We had a slight issue with our room being a bit hard to manouver within but as soon as we mentioned it to the owners they were able to set us up in a new room and make sure that we were comfortable. Highly recommend this stay if you are into the relaxed nature of the Riyadh environment.

Beautiful riad conveniently located just within the Medina. Close to a main gate if you’re doing any tours or want to see more of Marrakesh, but also only 10 minutes from the main square in the Medina. All the staff were fantastic and we’ve had a brilliant time. Would recommend to anyone.

Very instagrammable Riad in the centre of Marrakesh. Recommend to go for a coffee or tea to their rooftop bar and take a picture of their very beautiful patio. However, room prices are rather high for the average quality service and patio/rooms could do with a bit more cleaning, wiping and removing the leaves on the floor

Excellent stay, I loved my time on Riad Sakkan. Definitely the best Riad in the city :) The room was very spacious and it had all the comforts! I loved spending at the heated pool and in the rooftop bar with the best view of the Medina.
