Musée Pierre Bergé des arts Berberes located in Jardin Majorelle. Taking picture or video was forbidden. Inside the museum old clothes, accessories, tools and daily using items are showing. I don't understand why taking picture restricted. But recommend this place.

One of the most visited sights in Marrakesh, with vibrant and well-maintained gardens, and an intriguing small museum attached. Beautiful blue structures against clear blue skies. Unfortunately very busy and packed full of tourists taking selfies, so it was difficult to take in the aura and take nice photos of the grounds without people.

The selfie capital of Marrakech! Beautiful garden but it seemed most people were more interested in how the garden worked as a photo background (which it definitely did very well!). Many cool plants and especially the different varieties of cactus. I now realize this is the listing for the Berber museum we wish we had visited. My review above is for the garden. Visit the museum!!!

The mesuem features the historic Berber culture from old ages, it shows its clothes, weapon, food, jewellery and utensils The Jardin Majorelle, which extends over 9,000 m², is one of the most enchanting and mysterious gardens in Morocco. Created over the course of forty years, it is enclosed by outer walls, and consists of a labyrinth of crisscrossing alleyways on different levels and boldly-coloured buildings that blend both Art Deco and Moorish influences. The French painter Jacques Majorelle conceived of this large and luxuriant garden as a sanctuary and botanical ‘laboratory’. In 1922, he began planting it with exotic botanical specimens from the far corners of the world. In 1980, Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, who first arrived in Morocco in 1966, purchased the Jardin Majorelle to save it from destruction at the hands of hotel developers. The new owners decided to live in Jacques Majorelle’s villa, which they renamed the Villa Oasis. “For many years, the Jardin Majorelle has provided me with an endless source of inspiration, and I have often dreamt of its unique colours.” Yves Saint Laurent said Tickets are online only since January 2023 so make sure you get it before going or you can use the free WiFi on the gates to buy it online Prices are 150 dhs or 15 USD for jardin majorelle And 200 dhs or 20 USD for the jardin majorelle and museum of Berber of pierre Berger And 130 dhs or 13 USD for Yves Saint Laurent museum And you can get all combined ticket for 30 USD or 300 dhs Parking is available in street Special needs wheelchair parking is not available Special needs wheelchair entrance is available The jardin and museums are all wheelchair accessible

An absolutely beautiful garden. The sun was shining so brightly on the day we visited and we were able to take some beautiful pictures. It's great seeing the palm trees and beautiful plants in the garden. It's worth seeing the garden if you are into such. It is next to YSL Museum, so you can visit both places.

The garden is so beautiful , it is well looked after and the blue colour is extremely captivating .. It grows huge cacti and some other plants .. the beautiful pond in the middle has waterlilies... There is one way system when you enter the garden and masks are mandatory which are good safety measures during covid times.. there is a library, museum and also has clean toilets...

Nice Garden, you can find there really cool cactuses, that’s it Plenty of people waiting in the queue who need to take photo in the same places If you never been in such places it’s for you, but I suggest to go visit other Marrakesh attractions

Nice exhibit but lacks English descriptions. It is small and the guards push you around. And then they push you into the gift shop.... It is small and worth 15 minutes of your time. And with the pressure to get through the exhibits with the large crowds it was hard to really explore the Berber culture No photos allowed even, if you want to take a photo of a description.

Very impressive array of palms and cacti but ultimately a lot smaller than envisaged - can't really spend more than 45 minutes here. Walkways are a little too narrow for the number of visitors. The Berber Museum appears to be within the grounds but was inexplicably shut.

MUST SEE ! Museum is very small but lovely. Room with jewellery is designed amazingly - you feel like in the middle of the night in the desert. Entry is 30 drh. Sorry but no pic allowed. To enter museum you need to enter the garden first - 70 drh. It's one of my favourite gardens. Maybe not for plans you can see but for how it's designed. You can see it was done by an artist On top of that there is a member of park staff who takes amazing pictures for you with your phone for free. And he is teaching his colleagues as well :) that is an amazing thing that I never came across before. When you enter garden you can buy ticket combined for garden, museum and ysl museum(3min walk from the garden) but if you don't plan to go there in the morning you might not have enough time to do all before 6pm - when all closes.

Certainly worth getting the dual ticket combined with the garden. There is always a bit of a queue but it doesn’t take long to go down ~15 minutes. Very short but enjoyable museum with enough information and visual exhibits to make us want to learn more... no photos so you’ll have to check it out yourself ! Highlight was the main hexagonal room lit up with all the Berber female jewels- amazing ! Shop is nuthin’ special.

Quite impressive collection of objects, clothes, instruments, and art. Beautiful colour outside, which makes the photos very beautiful.

It was beautiful but pictures were not allowed inside 💔😩like whyyyy? It was not so big, I love art works and culture preservations, but there were securities everywhere I couldn’t even steal a picture 🥺 and there was a place like illusion inside with stars and mirrors, very small but look big. And another thing…the art gallery text had no English text everything was explained in French, Arabic and Berber. You would only see English at the entrance and the last part I think. So I could not understand whatever was displayed.

Wonderful gardens and colours but you have to book in online (before or outside) and it costs £12-13 per person.

There were some super interesting things in the museum, but we literally had 1 minute 50 seconds to enjoy the exposition because the guards were touching our shoulders and yelling "Go, mademoiselle, go!". Maybe there were too many people in the hall and guards wanted us to leave because the other group was on the way. Unfortunately, we only entered, rushed along the room and left. The disrespect towards privacy, useless yelling guards, constant tickets control (they literally check our tickets every 10 feet where there were no way to overshoot). The guard yelled "No photos" when non of us didn't even had phones in our hands. It seems that these guards just use every chance to yell at visitors and touch female arms and shoulders. I wish we could enjoy the art. 5 stars for exposition, -5 stars for museums workers and their disrespect towards the visitor.

Don’t miss this. Reserve tickets in advance and don’t be daunted by the number of people waiting outside. One of the most beautiful presentations of succulents I have ever seen is contrasted with brightly painted architectural features.

It’s a beautiful small garden and very popular. The Berber cultural house is beautiful and stylish unfortunately the descriptions are only in French not English so I could appreciate the exhibits.

The visit is totally worth it! They preserved costumes and jewelry made by Berber artisans. There’s a dark room that creates a visual illusion of a starry night, very beautiful and interesting!

Awesome colors around. Book tickets online only in advance (at least a day before). Security inside was contrasting the garden pleasure - a bit noisy and not that friendly (however nothing really critical).

So far one of the best places in Marrakech. Very beautiful! And I highly recommend eating at the cafe a the exit in the garden. The best lamb tajin and sardines we had!

Compact but excellently curated museum with gorgeous Berber artefacts. Would have been nice to have a bit more info -- all of the signage is in French!

This is a very relaxing place to be especially if the sun is blaring and you want some nice shade with a spectacular view. The cafe inside isn't too overly priced too.

Top, top & top. You get a feeling you are visiting a world-class museum, content, organization and visual/sound systems. Photography is not allowed, but tolerated. I recommend it highly.

Gardens are nice to wander around. Very nice atmosphere but would have been nice to see a greater variety of plants. We paid extra to get into the Berber museum. Nothing special there. Glad to have been but not worth going back.

The garden have giant cactuses and some oriental plants, banana and bamboos. The blue house is the berber museum. Great library also for souvenirs. There's a post box outside...

Inside the Jardin Majorelle, and you can't visit it without going through (and paying for) the garden itself. The museum was interesting, a little cramped, but some good information and artefacts of the Berber people.

For a pretty and insightful stroll, this place got our heart and I can’t wait to visit again💙

The garden itself was cool, but maybe not worth the hype/wait to get in. The Berber museum part, though, was incredible. The restaurant area was also nice. Try their interesting juices
