Really poor dining experience. Exceptionally slow service and no one was explaining what was going on. We were literally missing out on all the entertainment whilst waiting for the dinner to be served. During the main horse show event, there were not enough cushions for the seating which is concrete. Luckily we managed to find a cushion but a lot of people were sat on concrete and the show is over an hour. Definitely one we would not do again!

This place managed by robbers. Prices are incredibly high. Food is average quality. All drinks are extra. They charged us 120 dirhem (12 € for 3 bottles of water) Any person on horses or singing or dancing shows interest to you, it is only for money. Be cautious! Everything here in this organisation is not to make you happy but to pluck the chicken 🐓

Awful place. This is a tourist trap. Food was horrible, the service was the worse I have ever had. The show mediocre at best. My partner got horribly sick eating the chicken couscous they served which had no taste - sick with stomach problems for 3 days after. Save yourself time and money - do not go here.

A real Tourist Trap. Once you are there they make you feel like cattle. Personell was very unfriendly and you had to ask twice for drinks before they came. The last two courses of our menu were served after we talked to the manager, the waiter told us "there is no more" even tough they advertise it on their website. The show itself is in its core authentic but overloaded with light effects, laser show and firework. Two stars because the food was good IF you get it.

The worse place where we have been in Marrakech. All the other traditional places in the city center are all rated 10+ by us. The staff was very rude, very little English, the dinner is in a tend, dirty, huge tables for few people, the servers push you to finish quickly and go out for the show. The pick-up arrived late so we had no time to enjoy the dinner and take photos. Rush for everything! The horse and animals show was ok but thinking about the animals' welfare it is just not acceptable. The lamb was ok, meanwhile the dessert just disgusting! Too expensive for the quality of the place, service, and cleanliness. They have been rude since the booking process, therefore our bad to decide to go anyway!

It's a great place to visit to see the traditional dancing and clothes of Morocco 🇲🇦, I liked the welcoming and the surroundings of the place, you then sit down for dinner in tents, I didn't like the atmosphere in the tent as it was so hot and the AC was not cooling the place off, no fans to keep the air going.. it was cooler outside than inside, the food was great but took so much time to wait for. They told us that there is a show at 10 we waited until 11 nothing, so we left it was too long of a wait especially with kids..

Same amount of food whether you make a reservation for a group or for 1-2 people. It was traditional morrocan cuisine, but other restaurants do it much much better. Horse show was worth it, other than that the show seemed short. Paired with the mediocre food, it was a mediocre experience. This may be better if you have a family with children to enjoy the show.

Our visit to Chez Ali in Marrakesh left us thoroughly disappointed. The restaurant's service was abysmal, with an excruciatingly long wait for our food. While others began eating, we were left waiting for half an hour. To make matters worse, the rushed service and exorbitant prices did not justify the quality of the food. Shockingly, they even charged us for water, despite already paying a hefty fee of 500 MAD per person for the dinner. Adding to our frustration, the transportation provided by the restaurant was highly unreliable. The driver arrived significantly late, causing us unnecessary stress and delaying our evening further. Overall, our experience at Chez Ali was marred by poor service, delayed food, exorbitant prices, and unreliable transportation. We cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment. There are far better dining options available in Marrakesh that offer superior service and value for money.

We went for the show only option at €35 per person. We were picked up at 8 pm for the half hour jouney to the venue. On arrival we were hassled first by horsemen for money, then by wailing singers. We were given tea and nuts and waited for the show to start at 10.30 pm. The show lasts 45 minutes and we enjoyed 10 minutes of it. The horseriding acrobatics were great. We couldn't see the belly dancer very well because the lighting was awful and the post from her mobile stage got in the way. Our ears are still ringing from the gun toting/firing/ galloping horseriders. Recommend you save your money and give this a miss. Overpriced, badly organised and could easily have been so much better. What a shame.

Oh my god, this was brilliant the riders were fantastic, the meal was fantastic, the people were fantastic. The only thing wrong, was, we did not have enough time to see everything. We got there, and were ushered straight into our meal, then we ate and went out to see the show, and were then ushered straight to our transport, so no time to take in the complete experience

A spacious place including live performances, pleasant atmosphere, courteous service, high prices in relation to the local currency. Most of the customers are tourists or rich locals. I didn't taste the dishes, I only drank beer. Bottom line: I liked it.

Ches Ali puts up a great dance, show and terrific food, The damper in this experience was the price of drinks, which u have to pay for separately. You are not told of the price upfront. At the end you are hassled with an astronomical bill. Then I was offered a " special seat" for which I was requested to pay " service charge" Besides this enjoy 😉.

Please don’t come here and make the same mistake we did (I have never written a negative review before) … This whole experience has left us feeling stumped. We are completly confused as to what we paid for. I am a kindergarten teacher and I swear my students put on a better Christmas play. We opted for the option with no dinner. We were collected at around 8 o clock and driven to our destination. There you see a lovely venue. We weren’t told anything so we just started to walk around like everybody else. We were later informed (after searching for someone to help us) that the show would start at 10.30. It was currently before 9 o clock. We killed time for the next hour and a half excited for the show to start. The show lasted less than 30 minutes (the drive there was longer). We expected it to last around an hour considering the website says the whole experience lasts approximately 4 hours. The show consisted of men on horses, gun shots, a girl dancing and a crowd of people walking from one side of the stage to the other with sheep. There was no magic carpet, no bellies to be seen nevermind belly dancers and absolutely nothing exciting except a potential burst eardrum from the gun shots. I have never been so dissappointed with something and it was very expensive to begin with. Completly not worth the price. I wouldn’t even do it if it was free to be honest as it was a waste of time. I honeslty don’t know how people are giving this good reviews. Maybe we went on a bad night??? I wish I could get my money and time back. €70 for two people cost us more then the whole day trip to the Ouzard Falls with a meal

WARNING I repeat warning do not go to the place if you're from overseas and you're coming on vacation to Morocco there are great other places it is a rip-off they will charge you about 60 dollars per person. If you live overseas $60 for a dinner show is nothing but in comparison to Moroccan Dirhams it is a lot I grew up going to this place and the nineties it was great but now it's more commercialized they lie to you the food is not great they see you as a number. I was there last night with my family we spent $500 the food was horrible the service was horrible.. do not waste your time and money there are great other places in in the city.

It's Orlando's Medieval times but...in Morocco. It was pretty fun and entertaining but if you do not have a guide holding your hand then you're treated like a suspect. Not sure if that is fir security reasons or not. If you want any kind of personal interaction...you better bring tip money.

It feels like the Disneyland version of Morocco. It feels produced, not very authentic, but I still had a great fun time. All workers are very nice people and clearly try their best to do their performances. If you love and care much for animals, I'd not recommend it. Here, it happens as in all Marrakech; horses and dromedaries are part of the show, and yes, don't look the healthiest and happiest. The food was ok, nothing spectacular, but the environment was very photogenic.

Definitely a stop place for tourists. It is an opportunity to see the beautiful culture of the Moroccans! You get to experience different dance and songs, their food. And yes, the horse ride display was beautiful too!

Great night, but everyone here is trying to juice you of your cash. From the moment you step out in the parking, the horsemen will invite you to take photos with them but then ask for money, and are never satisfied with what you give them. The show itself was the highlight of the night.

A wonderful night of eating and drinking was had at this Fantasia dinner show and Moroccan folklore venue where you get to be entertainment by Bedouin horsemen, drummers, trumpeters and singers - whilst dinning of local cuisine - in our case - local soup, lamb tagine, couscous and Moroccan tea. Highly recommended.

  • 2/5 Petrus W. 5 months ago on Google
The atmosphere of the place when you enter was great, with a lot of people in costumes singing, dancing and doing fire shows. The lamb meal is ok the portion of food was a lot. But the show which was supposed to be a highlight was terrible (just a bunch of horsemen riding their horses around the field, firing noisy shots in the air; a bunch of camels moving around the field and some folks in costumes dancing). No theme to the show whatsoever, no one understood what the show was trying to portrait. A waste of time.

It is touristic place. You can taste traditional food. You can watch traditional wedding scenes, dances, horse shows. It is overrated. It should be better foods and show. I expected better wedding ceremony. We couldn’t see bride and groom closely. Ambiance is good. It is open area. It can be cold.

  • 1/5 Cami D. 4 months ago on Google
The food was basic, nothing special for how expensive it is. The show was okay, since the acrobatics on the horses were fun but nothing else impressive. Do not recommend at all, spend your money in a better way.

  • 3/5 Tina L. 1 year ago on Google
Over rated,...quite impressive going Into, singing, dancing, horses etc. Shown to table, not many people in our room, the food took an age to come, some got bread others not, terrible disorganised service. From there we thought we were in for a night of entertainment, turns out you've seen most of it on arrival, fireworks good though.

Came here for entertainment. If the guest of Berbers lavishes the possibility of being murdered by Arabic man on horseback, they've came to the right place (☆▽☆) Belly dancer is ethereal from a distance

Location and scenery were amazing. Show was ok. Food and service were below average. Beverages are not included and are expensive. Performers request/expect tips for pictures if they are taken with them.

Beautiful place and grounds They need to put more light during the show so we can see and enjoy it! Too much shooting loud! Musicians are awesome and dancers too horses are beautiful but show in general wasn’t great Not synchronized

It was a wonderful dinner, and the place is the most wonderful of the Amazigh folklore performances and the Fantasian performances. Everything is very wonderful. We wish recovery and safety for the knight who was injured during the show. We also wish them all safety.👍🇲🇦❤️🤲

We were here for the dinner show. Food was actually good and plentiful. Drinks are not included and cost about the same compared to hotels. The show was disappointing. No explanation of what is going on. As a foreigner, I was not sure if there was a story or just a bunch of things put together. About 8 different tribes in their garments for you to see. A bunch of horse men riding around plus three thar actually did some riding stunts. Out of 1500 guest, the show only had 1 belly dancer and 1 fire dancer that you can barely see in the middle of the field. There was supposed to be a carpet flyer but did not even noticed it. With the amount of money they got, they could have more performers.

The experience was good and probably worth it mostly because of the palace and surrounding. Food (Mechoui) was not so good and yes, you'll have to pay for tea/water/soda 90 DHS more. Tajine was better. They serve enormous amount of food, not sure if they throw out the 2/3 or just give to personnel. I think for this price don't shy away from bringing plastic containers - technically this food is yours. And yes, you'll have to pay for the printed photos and for camel ride. Latter one is free donation (tip) and it's worth it.

    - Quality of food is very bad - Servers keep forgetting what we asked for. - Overpriced - every single person wants a tip as soon as you walk in. + beautiful show. Advice for people with budget: bring your own water. If you want to get the best seats leave the dining area as soon as they bring couscous. Overall it could be a more fun experience if people would and stop asking for money and leave you dance and take pictures on your own peace!

  • 2/5 Efy D. 11 months ago on Google
We took the excursion package and were informed a time we would get to the place. The food was served so slow and late. The food itself was poor. The tagine have just lamb and no veg at all. The soft drinks cost £3 per can. No official receipt for the drinks. Waiters kept asking us for tips. No cushions on concrete seating. The show is poor apart from one part for 5 mins. Not lit properly and feels bit of a con.

We went there to have a Moroccan dinner followed by an Arabian Fantasia (camels, horses guns). The location is huge and therefore a 30-45 minutes drive from the city. Dinner was well organised. The show it self was short (30 minutes) and to my opinion did not reflect the Arabian life and or the nomadic lifestyle and tribes.

It was a good experience but the thing that I didn’t feel comfortable is every time the folklore singers come to danse and every time you have to give the tips while they see you that you are eating !!!!! And they don’t leave till you give them money ????

  • 5/5 Tanya H. 4 years ago on Google
Immerse yourself in traditional dancing and singing and enjoy the full experience of Marrakech! So much fun, a great evening out. The show is outdoors, so it may get cold in the night air, better to be prepared to take in the spectacular show.

  • 4/5 Walter T. 4 years ago on Google
This was a very cool experience that showcase Moroccan culture. Along with food in a traditional dining experience oh, there were many musicians entertainers and of course the horse show to conclude. It was a very cool evening and a great experience for a traveler like myself.

  • 1/5 Joe 3. 3 years ago on Google
Worst experience ever, the food is terrible and that's coming from a Moroccan who knows what is a real Moroccan dish, basically you pay your hard earned money for some over rated show, and plus what I hated the most is the racketeering technique those dancers are approaching you with, like they are going to approach you and dance front of you and you have to pay them something otherwise they will embarrass you. Nope not going there anymore

  • 4/5 Scarlette O. 5 years ago on Google
One of the most bizarre experiences ever yet fully recommended. I loved the camels and got to ride on one which totally made my night. It was a strange yet spectacular show. Rather cheesy in the best possible way, your touristic visit of Marrakech wouldn't be complete without it.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed myself here. Loved the drinks, food, and entertainment. It was just me and my sister so the portions of food were way too much and we felt bad wasting a lot of it. Just be aware that beverages are not covered and that you’ll need to pay for them. Overall, definitely recommend this place!

The most amazing entertainment provided from the Fantasia Performances. The horses, belly dancing and rifles shots at the end really were all amazing to watch. I didn't stay but would 100% go to watch again.

  • 3/5 Mukid M. 2 years ago on Google
Was nice but people were to forceful. All they want is money. You take a pic and they will ask for money/tips. Food comes with the ticket but you need to pay for drinks either its water or soft drink its not free.

  • 1/5 Jackson A. 2 years ago on Google
Complete waste of money. The singers and dancers were so bored. The food was dreadful. The entertainment in the centre was even worse! The lighting was terrible... the men ran from one end of the field to the other and just shot a gun (total rubbish). The flying carpet! (I have no words!). Dreadful! Absolutely dreadful!

  • 1/5 Antonia P. 2 years ago on Google
Wasted evening and money over there. Paid 40euro per person for entry, one drink (tea), performance of unhappy and forced to dance groups and finally the show of another bored belly dancer and some horses in a dark arena. Totally not worth it!

  • 3/5 Martin C. 2 years ago on Google
Bit touristy if you like that sort of thing. Show was mediocre at best and the food in my hotel was much better than the meal here. Something different I suppose but I wouldn't go back.

  • 2/5 Lara J. 2 years ago on Google
Total tourist trap. It seems they read the previous reviews because they made some improvements (no begging for tips, ok lighting on the show) but the food is not amazing and the music too loud. The horses seemed very scared of the loud music and the gym shots, animal abuse! The show overall was not great either. Don't recommend.

  • 5/5 Carlton M. 1 year ago on Google
Staff excellent and very helpful and the entertainment is like nothing else. The tribal dancing is fantastic, the horse spectacle is brilliant and all in all a once in a lifetime experience.

  • 4/5 Paulina G. 1 year ago on Google
A great service from the start to the end. The Chez Ali is located outside the center of Marrakesh and requires an organized transport to arrive there. Once on site, there is live music, dancers, performers and dinner! The dinner was large so do come with an empty stomach… Harira soup for starters, chicken for the first main course, veal / vegetable tajine for the second main and fresh fruit, cookies and tea for dessert. Service is wonderful and a nice environment inside the dining tents with cushions and air conditioning. The show happens after dinner for approximately 30 minutes. There is the possibility to take a camel/horse ride and take photos with the performers. Overall, a unique experience while in Marrakesh.

  • 4/5 Anastasiia S. 1 year ago on Google
Interesting and unusual experience. The food was good, really big portions. The staff is super friendly! We liked the show but it was a bit short.

  • 5/5 Mrs SM G. 1 year ago on Google
The entrance takes you through lots of corridors with lots of things to see... as for the food ... cave man style ... our table did not get the tagine so we broke bread and engulfed in a massive plate of meat on our table followed by tons of couscous followed by a massive dessert ... was so full at the end had to be rolled out of the venue ... the show/entertainment after was great ... the horses the belly Dancer... the music the animals ... an unforgettable experience
