Beautiful
and
calm
oasis
in
the
heart
of
a
hectic
city.
We
were
received
with
great
kindness
and
generosity;
throughout
our
four-day
stay
we
were
made
to
feel
like
honoured
guests.
The
information
we
were
given
was
accurate
and
helpful.
Both
the
public
areas
and
our
bedroom
exceeded
our
expectations
of
classic
Moroccan
charm
and
character.
Great
attention
has
been
paid
to
detail
and
quality.
The
tensions
inevitably
generated
by
the
heat
and
chaos
of
the
streets
immediately
evaporated
in
the
coolness
of
the
inner
courtyards,
where
we
delighted
in
relaxing
for
an
hour
or
two
every
day.
The
street
traders
were
not
quite
as
'forward'
as
we
had
expected,
except
in
the
evenings,
when
the
streets
become
super-crowded.
A
few
of
them
turn
rude
and
sarcastic.
Mornings
are
undoubtedly
the
best
time
for
shopping,
but
expect
the
infernal
motor
scooters
in
the
narrow
passages
at
any
time
-
they
were
the
real
nuisance.
I
won't
go
over
all
the
city's
attractions
again,
except
to
name
the
Jewish
quarter
as
the
biggest
disappointment
(it's
utterly
bleak)
and
the
Musée
des
Confluences
as
the
most
pleasant
surprise.
In
its
magical
courtyard
is
a
wonderful
café
serving
countless
different
types
of
tea
and
coffee,
as
well
as
food,
in
a
very
special
atmosphere.
Next
to
it
is
an
extraordinary
tea
shop,
selling
I
don't
know
how
many
hundreds
of
varieties.
Entrance
to
these
is
very
cheap,
but
if
you
want
to
see
the
few
rooms
with
exhibits
you
must
pay
a
lot
more,
though
still
very
reasonable.
A
warning
about
the
souks:
they
are
labyrinthine,
dark
and
stuffy
-
and
still
plagued
by
motor
scooters.
The
best
thing
about
them
is
the
elation
on
eventually
finding
your
way
out
to
daylight
and
comparatively
fresh
air.
