What a fantastic find. The museum is housed in a beautiful building (riad) and newly renovated. To all of those loving their insta takes - this is an influencer dream. Unlike other places it is not busy (they deserve to be just based on the building). It is composed of multiple zones showcasing in samples and short videos various aspects of the Moroccan culinary traditions. It is a great place to escape from the hustle of the market. There is also a cooking school with stunning kitchen setup. Definitely worth checking. Just chilling in the centre court with music on coffee and tea... We did not want to leave the place. IMO best 6 Euro I spent in Marrakesh.

An amazing place to visit for 60 MAD, one can learn so much about Moroccan cuisine and the types of food one should try while in Morocco. The museum is well-oriented with signage in English, French, and Arabic. Videos in some sections and photos/mock set-ups in others. For another 60 MAD, one can do a food tasting and eat on the terrace (the terrace is also part of the museum experience). For another 600 MAD, they offer 2-hour cooking classes. One can also eat here and they offer affordable 3 course meals for 120 MAD. Note, they do take card and cash

Fascinating tour through the development of Morocco's famous dishes that you might have tried. If you've wondered about the history of what you've been eating, many answers are here. Six zones take visitors through salads, desserts, meats in a restored palace on several floors. There is a rooftop terrace with nice views and a small Cafe. Optional with the tour is an impressive tasting session of more than 10 small dishes and bread beautifully served and with your choice of location to sit. Recommended.

Visiting Moroccan cuisine is a unique experience journey through flavors and aromas where you will discover the secret of ancient Moroccan cuisine. Moroccan cuisine preserves the traditions of a rich cultural heritage passed down from mother to daughter

Great experience! Definitely book with tasting as it is worth it. Unlike stated at the entrance it's not only for tasting Moroccan salad but also for other traditional sweets, couscus and the also famous tea variations "Vodka" and "Whiskey". And the best: You can see live how they make the sweets for example. And those exact ones you can taste! A place of piece and calm. Not very well known yet as it opened only at the end of 2019. There were three people inside including us two! Very clean and modern museum. Recommendation!

This is a must see museum , we learnt so much and it really influenced and informed everything we were eating in our time in Morocco, particularly the different breads and biscuits. (The crumpet-like Beghrir which absorbs honey, yes we ate it right ! And crispy msemen for breakfast. We tried to seek out the Horn of Gazelle in the markets after the exhibition too.) Ticket entry was 60 DH per person , unfortunately they were not offering the tasting ticket during Ramadan (120 DH). We’re sure it would have added even more to the visit, it’s a must. Videos throughout of traditional cooking methods (like watching YouTube) and lots of pots, utensils and spices on display to accompany them. Beautiful building , not busy and had traditional music playing throughout.

An incredible experience at this underrated gem a mere few hundred feet from the Bahia Palace. We learned to cook chicken Tagine, two kinds of Moroccan salad, and a fascinating dessert that resembled a napoleon. The chef was patient and informative, and the support staff was quick and very respectful. I love the certificate we got upon completing the course. Best time in Marrakech so far!

Nice museum with interesting exhibition about spices, sweet and savory dishes and everything that belongs to Moroccan eating culture. BUT the discounted price for "museum week" right now are kind of a scam. You get a "free" tasting to your ticket. Sounds good, but you just get two tiny dishes instead of 4 or more as seen in other pictures! Keep that in mind. The exhibition is still nice and informative. Entrance is 60Dh per person and you can pay by card.

I loved this place. Great displays of the traditions associated with the food of Morocco. Videos of the food being made accompanying the narrative. The cooking school looked wonderful. The rooftop was a great place for an excellent espresso.

Absolute must visit if you like cooking or baking. You will learn so much about the history of Moroccan cuisine and spices in the cities and the rural areas. Tasting menu is absolutely worth it. I wish I was there on a day they were doing live classes.

Awesome place! Everything is explained nicely. I reccomend the option with tasting - the snacks are fresh and delicious. Apart from culinary experience, the architecture is worth visiting, and far less crowded than neighbouring palace. The entrance fee as for JAN 25th is 60dh for regular ticket, and 120dh for the entrance with tasting.

Very interesting museum w options to play with real herbs and spices, ans to eat but don't miss the cooking class. It's amazing. Loved it. Highlight of our trip. Very professional set up with workstations with big screens so you can clearly see what the chef is doing, a translator, assistants to guide you and you get to eat in the cool courtyard under the trees. What a great way to spend a morning.

By far the best museum I’ve ever been to. Very friendly staff, tons of interesting stuff about food and spices of morocco, the Jewish influence on the food and lots of other stuff. Make sure you also book the tasting for after the tour! Highly recommended for everyone who loves food, cooking or baking.

During our recent visit to Morocco, we had the pleasure of exploring the magnificent Moroccan Culinary Arts Museum, an extraordinary establishment that left us awe-inspired. From its striking architecture to the exceptional Moroccan cuisine class, this museum proved to be an absolute highlight of our trip. Once inside, we were greeted by a warm and knowledgeable staff. The museum beautifully showcased the evolution of Moroccan cuisine, providing a comprehensive understanding of the country's gastronomic heritage. From ancient recipes to modern culinary innovations, the exhibits were thoughtfully curated and offered a fascinating glimpse into the artistry of Moroccan cooking. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the Moroccan cuisine class led by Chef Bouchra, an exceptional and passionate instructor. With her wealth of knowledge and infectious enthusiasm, Chef Bouchra took us on a culinary journey that left an indelible mark on our taste buds. Her expertise, coupled with her ability to create a lively and interactive atmosphere, made the class both educational and entertaining. Under Chef Bouchra's guidance, we learned the secrets behind iconic Moroccan dishes, such as tagine. From selecting the freshest ingredients at the local market to mastering the art of delicate spice blends, every step of the cooking process was a delightful adventure. The hands-on experience allowed us to appreciate the precision and creativity that goes into Moroccan cuisine, and we left the class with newfound culinary skills and a profound appreciation for the flavors of Morocco. Furthermore, the Museum provided a platform for cultural exchange, as we had the opportunity to interact with fellow participants from various backgrounds. Sharing stories, experiences, and laughter over a deliciously prepared meal was an invaluable aspect of the class, fostering connections and creating lasting memories. We cannot emphasize enough how Chef Bouchra's teaching style stood out. Her ability to convey complex techniques in a simple and approachable manner made the class accessible to all skill levels. Her patience and genuine interest in our progress made us feel encouraged and motivated to explore the depths of Moroccan cuisine. In conclusion, a visit to the Moroccan Culinary Arts Museum is an absolute must for any culinary enthusiast or traveler seeking an authentic cultural experience. The combination of its stunning architecture, well-curated exhibits, and the exceptional teaching skills of Chef Bouchra make it a truly unforgettable destination. Prepare to be inspired, captivated, and indulged in the remarkable flavors and aromas of Morocco.

Brilliant museum in a gorgeous riad. We did a cooking class and it was excellent (and very much value for money). I would highly recommend a visit even if you don’t do a class.

An amazing museum with wonderful history, demonstrations and tasting of the Marocain cuisine. Only 40 Dharm to get in. Also good for kids. On the roof top they have a beautiful terrace overlooking the cost with degustation.

Nice museum, in a very beautiful palace. But the staff is not very kind, and the tasting menu is not worth it for 60dirham more, they give you no explanation for what they serve you, the portions are small, if you're in a group, you're better off looking for a well reviewed traditional restaurant and ordering several entrees.

Highly recommend! Beautiful private museum in an 18th century palace with riads. Super informative about Moroccan cuisine with instructional videos on the recipes. Every exhibition space has write-ups in English, French and Arabic. Salads, breads, briouates, tajines, street food, Jewish, sweets, tea… Spaces are well maintained. Staff are kind and helpful too. Bought tickets on the spot.

Definitely worth a visit! Beautiful riad (almost worth the entrance fee alone) and great descriptions of Moroccan cuisine with short videos. Displays of pottery and cookware well laid out. Next time I would book the cooking class in advance.

This is a new museum and a fantastic find! It's a quiet and peaceful escape from the bustling Medina. And we learned so much about what we have been eating in Morocco. Great for pictures too because it's a beautiful place. We enjoyed the tasting menu- it was well worth it! It's a good amount of food for a meal for sure. (See pic)

A hidden gem! This is one of the best museums in Marrakech, located in a gorgeous Riad. I loved that most signs detailing a meal or a dish has an accompanying video that demonstrates how it is prepared. This museum will make you very hungry.

Wonderful oasis of peace and calm. Really interesting look at history and variety of Moroccan food, spices and traditions set in a beautifully restored building with stunning architecture.

This is a really wonderful museum. It cost us 40dh each. We only saw the museum, but you can do a cookery class here where you then get free entry to the museum (and eat the food you've cooked). The cookery class kitchen looks really good with screens at each station so you can follow the chef/teacher's instructions. It's a mixture of modern and old.. the modern from how they've wonderfully displayed all the information (videos on several screens) so you can learn about all the different local cuisines. And the old from the beautiful building and courtyard. Might be worthwhile visiting at start of your trip so you can appreciate all the moroccon meals! The staff there were very friendly and helpful, which was much appreciated as we learned about the different herbs and spices!

Very well designed tour in a beautiful riad. It was very informative and very interesting, without overwhelming details. The videos with local cooks preparing the meals that were accompanying the descriptions were also a delight! It is definitely worth it to book the tasting as well. And there is a cooking workshop available, we didn't try it but the room definitely smelled delicious...

This was easily our favorite spot of our entire marrakech trip! The staff were absolutely lovely and loved cracking jokes with our limited arabic. Not to mention the fact that the food was absolutely amazing. The building was beautiful as well! Cannot recommend this enough, super awesome place.
