Beaman Park in Earlwood is a great place to take the family out and in enjoy nature and the view of the Cook River. The park has a toilet facility, tennis court, kids playground, a cricket field as well as a sporting field . I believe Bankstown Canterbury Council should consider adding a dog park, barbecue facility and a fitness hub to the park.

Rather a large park with plenty of sports fields, batting practice cages, tennis courts, benches, play area and amenities. HISTORY Joseph Nobbs brought the farm named Cooks Angel and settled here in 1830. Originally known as Nobbs Flat. Nobbs Flat was a 60 acre market garden and 3 sides were bordered by the Cooks River. Joseph Nobbs grandson Joseph Nobbs junior established the market garden and orchard. Sandstone was quarried from the property in 1850 to build the new house on the South side of the park was built in 1853 and is the oldest surviving house in Canterbury district. In 1883 Joseph Nobbs great grandchildren subdivided the farm into smaller farms. In the 1920s it became part of the Western Suburbs Cricket Union grounds Nobbs Flat was renamed in honour of Aldermen J A Beaman Mayor of Canterbury 1970-1971.

I m disappointed with the level of care of The city of Canterbury and Bankstown council. In the midst of Covid pandemic and the toilets at BEAMAN PARK MALE AND FEMALE do not provide any hand washing soap and nothing has been installed to indicate that the rest rooms had ever any soap dispensers. Shame on you as we the rate payers although have been bombarded for social distancing, disinfect wash hands masks fines etc.. the Council don't see that it is necessary to provide soap none ZERO. You make your own conclusions.

It's nice when it's sunny. Not when it's raining. The drainage system and land are not made well consequently walk path being covered with puddles of water. Runners and walkers recommended using the road as an alternative path until the sun shines. Community, please bring cover these areas with cardboard boxes if you have any spares.

Been going to this park ever since I was a kid. Still a great park for a jog, a walk or a bike ride. The playground is small and dated but decent.

Huge park, sprawls out kilometres. Would be a great location to go for an extended run/laps - it's relatively flat. It also connects up with a little walkway bridge across the water further up, near the club. There are toilet amenities just along this area too, which is practical.

This is a gorgeous place to go for a fitness walk. Plenty of path along the Cooks River and lovely tree cover. There’s also a cute bridge to walk across. There is a playground for the kids and a couple bbqs. Well kept cricket/sports ground.

Playing soccer and I rolled /sprained my ankle really bad on the pitch and had to go to hospital. The ground was poor from footy boot stud holes and it trapped my boot in thick clay like mud.

Nice place with soccer fields and tennis courts. Parking is on the low side, and it's definitely not in proportion to the space available to play.

Great and beautiful park by the Cook's river. Lovely views. Full of marine birds: pelicans, cormorants, seagulls, plovers... It's a pleasure to walk through it in the morning...

  • 5/5 Laurie M. 4 years ago on Google
It is tremendously flat. It additionally connects up with a bit walkway bridge throughout the water in addition to up, close to the membership. Any other predominant concern is the grass period. It turns into so long so if you push a ball to the grass it will prevent lifeless without traveling lots. Extraordinary and delightful park by means of a cook's river. Lovable views. Complete of marine birds: pelicans, cormorants. You can hear the birds and sense the wind. The park has a bbq grill as properly and a few tables. Outstanding location, many children and adults strolling or driving their bicycles. Beautiful view with water and bushes.

A nice spot that is easily reachable from central Sydney in a few minutes and is good for a quick break from the hustle in down town. Fairly open green area with a river through it.
