One of the oldest Chinese temple of worship in Sydney (opened in 1908). The other oldest is the Sze Yup temple in Glebe. This temple has full time residents who live and work here, helping to run and maintain the temple. Its heritage listed and is a great place to visit - dont mind all the old chinese folks eating and going about their daily rituals. Admire the architecture and craftmanship of the temple or chat to the caretaker about the history of the temple. Anyone can give offering here even if you dont worship.

A historic gem hidden away in the backstreets of Alexandria. This delightful Chinese temple is a riot of gold and red. I envy those who can speak Cantonese or Mandarin and are able to speak to Elderly residents and volunteers.

Beautiful little temple, very well maintained and preserved. One of the ladies there explained to me how most of the roof is actually still the original structure built ages ago as one of the first temples in the country, absolutely beautiful to see.
