Luna Park is just an amazing place for all ages. There is something for everyone and some amazing views of the Sydney Opera house and Sydney Harbour bridge. Great fun with some epic rides. Entertainment for the little ones, great food. Very clean and very high safety standards makes this one of my favourite places. Highly recommend that you book tickets online it can safe you up to 50%. Long rows but it moves pretty quick. Highly recommend this place for a whole day of fun for everyone.

Luna Park is awesome! Had a super fun day here with the kids! The rides were really enjoyable and it was a good atmosphere, all the park workers were so nice and the vintage parts of the amusements were really interesting. It was a cool window to the past mixed with some games and newer exciting rides that made for an excellent day out at a pretty reasonable price

Luna Park is a great day out for couples, young families or for groups wanting some fun and excitement. Itโ€™s a perennial favourite place for lots of people, because of its longevity in Australian history my parents took me there and I took my children there. Catch a Sydney ferry to Milsonโ€™s point from Circular Quay or the train. Plenty of food refreshments thereโ€™s even a bar with harbour views! Coney Island has indoor rides. We bought tickets and then let the kids runaround having fun while we took happy snaps and prepared our picnic lunch in sunshine. Later we enjoyed a movie in the outdoor cinema. For extra adventure take a 2 minute stroll to Lavender Bay and have a picnic on the best spots in Sydney Harbour it gorgeous! Just walk to the back of Luna Park and follow the pave. Highly recommended 10/10

Went for a conference, which happened to be held at Luna Park, amazing spot for the event. I heard that the theme park is actively open to the public. Unsure what you need to pay to enter & play with your kids. I can imagine a nice family day out there tho!

Luna Park is good for a few hours of fun, but not the kind of place you're going to spend an entire day. Is it worth 60 dollars for a rides pass?.. eh it's not really a great value. But it is cool that the park is free for those who don't want to ride. The park itself feels well maintained and the few rides they do have are pretty decent. Sledgehammer is definitely the most thrilling ride in the park. My favorite thing about Luna Park is the unique landscape. Unlike North American Parks that are built way out in the middle of nowhere surrounded by miles of parking lots, Luna Park has incredible views of the harbour, bridge and skyline.

An embarrassment of a theme park. The decent rides are always in maintenance, and the one that are working are only half filled. Unnecessary delays and poor customer service. Itโ€™s the people that make it enjoyable.

We were surprised how great Luna Park was and how much it has improved. Food was expensive, but that's a given at all amusement parks. A great selection of fun rides. The new coasters were fun. Line ups weren't too bad either. If you want to save money, purchase your tickets a few weeks before, otherwise prices are jacked up as you get closer and on the day.

Enjoyed a lovely day out at Lunar Park Sydney. We enjoyed eight hours of fun, going on rides, playing games and eating junk food. They had a great range of rides for the kids and enough to keep them happy. As we went early we were able to do most rides and enjoyed about 90% of the park. We did have some issues though, does not cater for babies that well, as did not see any changing rooms/tables and when asked if some kitchen staff could rinse some baby bottles were refused, having to use a water fountain. We advised management of the issue and there response was to come to them as they do all thongs baby at there customer service/first aid centre. If only there staff new the same and had mentioned this, simple training error i guess. Would recommend, must have for a Sydney trip, just leave baby at home.

New pricing has you paying a standard $50 for each member of your family. They even wanted us to pay $50 for our infant daughter who can't walk or crawl or even go on any rides. Absolute rip off. My 3 year old daughter would only be able to go on a handful of rides. $50 for a 3 year old is a rip off. Never will I ever go again. Disgraceful to take advantge of people during such tough times. You should be ashamed. So unaustralian

Free entry if you just want to walk around. I found it to be expensive @ $140 for me and my 3 yr old daughter to go on a few rides. She could only go on the red colour coded ones which is 85cm height. My entry fee is just to take her on a few rides. Think we went on 6 rides once each ride in total. At lunch time she enjoyed chasing the seagulls and running around. Staff member kept calling my daughter shortie, when exiting a ride which we found strange. I think this place is IDEAL for TEENAGERS not families....so my mistake for bringing my 3yr old. You can get a family pass to the Easter show for $99 which has a tonne of free exhibition and shows once through the gate. I did see the school kids having the time of their lives going from ride to ride, which was good to see others having so much fun. Went on a week day (Monday) thinking it would be less busy but there were many coaches from schools.

These guys have definitely improved over the years. The rides are getting more exciting, the safety measures seem much better too. The toilets were clean too. Theme park pricing on f&b, but not too bad. Great day out

I had an incredible day at Luna Park Sydney! The real highlights were the Big Dipper and the Sledgehammer. The Big Dipper offered an exhilarating, classic roller coaster experience, and the Sledgehammer was an absolute adrenaline-pumping thrill. Both rides left me with unforgettable memories. Luna Park Sydney provides a fantastic mix of old-school charm and modern excitement, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking a day of fun and excitement!

I waited 40 minutes for each ride with my brother and they didnโ€™t even allow us due to the height restrictions, which heโ€™s 1 cm off, so I only go two rides not only that seagulls attacked me and took my food.

I donโ€™t like Luna Park in general, mainly because their arenโ€™t many rides I feel comfortable going on. Last time Iโ€™ve been there the staff scolded at me for โ€œpushing inโ€ when I was just trying to go to the other side of the queue.

Even though Iโ€™d been well over a decade since I last enjoyed time at Luna Park amusement park โ€ฆ located on the northern side of Sydney Harbour I spent so much time here on the rides โ€ฆ during the mid 70โ€™s - late 90โ€™s During the early visit , the family would catch the Sydney Ferry - over from Circular Quay โ€ฆ & when older - I would enjoy with friends The last time I visited .. this Australian iconic amusement park , just didnโ€™t feel the same โ€ฆ due to some ride going & being replaced

Took my grandson here a couple of days ago. There were not many rides he could go on as most rides start from 105cm. The rides he could go on he enjoyed. HISTORY This site wasn't always a fun park in 1924 English contractors Dorman Long and Co won the tender to build Sydney Harbour bridge so this site and the waterfront land next to the bridge was used for construction. Part of the cliff behind Luna Park was dug out and the sandstone was used to widen and straighten the shoreline. They also built 2 huge workshops and a wharf so the overseas ships could unload bulk steel. In 1932 the job was done and the workshops were demolished the wharf was left but it is now mostly hidden by the Crystal palace which was built on top of it in 1935. On 4 October 1935 Sydney Luna Park was opened the Crystal palace was the largest structure in the park when it was opened originally called the Dodgem Palace. In the early 1990's the building was restored to its new purpose a function centre major refurbishments were done in 2003 and 2013. The face was created by Rupert Browne from Melbourne the supporting towers were decorated in the popular 1930's art deco style with scalloped spires imitating the top of New York's Chrysler building. The whole structure was lit by the largest neon lighting display at the time in Australia. The face has had a few face lifts over the years in 1938, 1947 and 1960. Arthur Barton designed the happy face it was modelled of Old King Cole face. In 1995 a totally new face and towers were completed the face is made of fibreglass it is 9 metres high and the towers are 26 metres high. In 1990 the NSW Parliament passed the Luna Park site act which ensures the site is dedicated for public recreation amusement and entertainment under the care of the Luna Park Reserve Trust. Luna Park Precinct was listed on the NSW State Heritage Register in 2010.

Lots of fun to be had. New Big Dipper is great. Not the tallest or fastest but the first of its kind and well worth the wait in the queue. The other major new ride, Sledgehammer was amazing. Slow start but once it gets to the top angle - wow!! Best location in the world.

Luna Park NYE Event @lunaparksydney ๐Ÿ˜ƒ We attended the New Years Eve event at Luna Park & it was an amazing & fun filled event. We have been to Luna Park numerous times with our daughters but it was our first time attending this special event. It was great to visit Luna Park after a very long time due to lockdown & they have 9 new rides at the park. We went on all the new thrill rides including the Big Dipper roller coaster, the Sledgehammer & the new Boomerang roller coaster. We enjoyed watching the 9pm City fireworks from Luna Park & they were great & the 12pm City fireworks were superb!๐Ÿ˜ƒ We all had a fabulous time & it was a memorable way to farewell 2021 & to welcome in 2022 with fun, laughs & good times๐Ÿ˜ƒ We โค๏ธ Luna Park๐Ÿ™‚ If you havenโ€™t been to Luna Park then you should definitely check it out๐Ÿ™‚ Follow @fabfoodandtravel on Instagram for more fun travel pix & vids๐Ÿ™‚

The lines were way too long. We did 5 rides in 6.5 hours. But still it was a nice family day out. Look for discounts on tickets. Also they serve pork at all the restaurants so it wasn't halal by our standards. We brought our own food but no time to eat it.

I was lucky enough to be invited to a special event at Luna Park Crystal Palace. It was on a Thursday night, and the park was closed off to the public. The rides were offline, but all the lights were still on. We had an awesome night at the function centre, food was amazing! Service was excellent. Luna park is just a special place and the view of the city from Luna Park really is breathtaking. Highly recommend visiting.

Their new entrance policy doesn't really make sense for me. So even if you just accompany kids to go in you have to pay $50 entry fee? It has always been our kids favourite place but all thanks to restriction its so much more difficult to take 2 kids by yourself. Would have just given 1 star for the new policy in place but kids always love to come here so still worth a 3 stars.

I recently took my family for an afternoon session and it was a very nice night. There was pletty to do and the 4hrs your allowed is more than enough to go through the park and have something to eat. I'll give 3 stars as the park feels run down and your not permitted to bring any food in which forces you to buy the park food. The park food is extremely over priced, for example a 600ml coke was almost $6 and we ended up paying close to $90 for dinner (family of 4) which was horrid. Honestly I would not go again, we did have a nice night but I feel asif we were ripped off. Price breakdown $200 for 4hrs (Family of 4) $46 parking fee $90 Dinner Total $336, that's not including all the small extras like popcorn/icecream etc. I'd expect more for that kind of cash.

We had our daughters birthday party at Luna Park. The kids loved the attractions, but the Sydneyโ€™s Top Theme Park fell short of our expectations. Firstly the entire venue feels just plainly old. Having spent so many months in lockdown I would expect the management arranged for the paint touch up and plaster repair. Coney Island pavilion in particular. It feels like being in a heritage house rather than adventure park. Then the wait times when the rides start sometimes with half the seats empty and people in the queue standing there wondering why only 10 persons ride on a 16 seat attraction with two dozen people in the queue?.. We were not allowed to bring a birthday cake in, even though the entire back lawn with a whole lot of picnic tables just standing there absolutely deserted. Iโ€™ve never seen a person in that area, just the bored guard looking after the empty tables.

Great park, super fun, I love this park it is the best amusement park in Sydney and recommend it to everyone! Super fun rides that have just been renovated (e.g the big dipper and the boomerang). Pretty good staff, although the food is a bit too expensive and overpriced

This park has an old school ambiance or carnival style park which is make quite unique. Yes, this park is not as great as Universal Studio or Disneyland .. but the best thing of this park is itโ€™s location. Located right on Sydney Harbour, this park has view of Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. For me, the rides themselves are worth nothing special, but the location is worth to pay a visit at least once. The entry is free but you have to pay for one day ticket if you want to ride. The one day ticket price is vary so better to check online before you go.

Luna Park is not a big place, however, it has a very lively and fun atmosphere because there are lots of things going in. Every part of the amusement park is bustling with activities. Perhaps the main selling factor of Luna Park is the view it provides. You get to see the Harbour bridge, the Sydney Opera House, and the buildings of Barangaroo. Aside from that, the seaside view is so lovely and romantic. The rides in the place has to many spinning mechanic and is not suitable for a person like me with motion sickness, however, Iโ€™ve tried a couple of the rides and I can claim it was certainly deceitful. Why? Because it looks so easy and chill but once you ride it, it will give you tons of adrenaline. Good place for dates and family bonding. A good place but not really something amazing 4/5

We had a fantastic day with the children really loving the rides. There were alot of options for the kids aged 6 and up however the 3 year olds were a bit more restricted. The staff were extremely friendly and were cleaning everything thoroughly in between each ride. I'd like to make a special mention to Robyn who was working at the horse carousel, she went above and beyond in her service today. Luna Park was fun and I loved that the 4 hour session included a $10 lunch voucher. Lunch can work out a little costly depending on what you eat and there are limited vegetarian/vegan meals. Overall, a great day out for the kids. We had a blast.

Stay away in COVID times... My experience was really bad - 1. Nightmare online booking system for existing members - made me want to pull my own teeth - took forever to complete for a family of 4 2. We spend most of the day in queues watching staff constantly disinfecting every carousel after every ride. Not only there is no reason to do so after every ride, especially the outdoor ones, but they did not employ any extra staff to help with the cleaning. The cleaning was conducted by existing operators. So while they were doing their cleaning rounds, people where gathering in large queues waiting - increasing the risk of person to person Covid transmission. It was a very frustrating day....and very very expensive for ticket holders

This was a lot of fun packed into a short amount of time. I learned about Luna Park on the Sydney Bridge Climb Tour and was so glad I did! The ferry ride out was really great fun for the kids and it was beautiful to watch the sunset on the way out. Then on the way back, everything was all lit up nad was spectacular!! We mostly ate fairy floss and walked around to see the sights, but we loved looking at everything and reading up on the history of the place. We visited pre-pandemic, so not sure how things have changed.

Good for tourists who want to have an "old Sydney town" experience but if you're a local Sydneysider who wants an exciting theme park experience, Luna Park needs an upgrade: newer and more exciting rides with more variety catering to teens and adults, more food venues and seating. The entertainment could offer more variety from old to new too. Beautiful, outdoor views and good city location.

Luna Park has a great variety of rides. Although some rides were not operating due to the fact of maintenance. Lines were pretty long but apart from that it's a great location just in contact with the Sydney Habour Bridge down at Milsons Point. Catching a ferry is very accessible such as from Circular Quay which is the closest. Hope that Luna Park can offer cash payments in the future as I only had cash on me and was left without a drink.

A big funpark. About $50 for a kids pass but if they are under a certain height an adult will also need to purchase a pass for roughly $60 to accompany the child on rides. We went during school holidays and the park was pleasantly not packed at all. Ensure you pre purchase your passes as they are more expensive to purchase on the day. The ferry stops right out the front which makes the park very accessible. A great fun day out.

Great fun for all ages and abilities. You can enter for no cost & wander around first which is what I recommend & then purchase tickets for rides you decide to go on .. Our whole family had a great time and the views of the harbour were an added bonus. The good old fashioned rides & amusement was incredible to experience instead of high tech all the time .. The only thing for us was being on the Ferris wheel when it decided to downpour & blow a Gale ..was soooo cold brhh Great family day out whilst visiting Sydney for sure

Took the kids to Luna Park on a holiday but wasn't overly impressed. Some of the rides are impressive for the limited space although I'm not sure how people live so close to it. The fact that you can enter and exit freely and only pay for rides is a great aspect especially for parents. The food and merchandise is VERY overpriced (water $5.60) and nothing to get excited about. Could do with a freshen up in some areas.

Visited the place with my family with two young kids and couldn't have been happier. The kids enjoyed the rides and wanted a repeat. They specifically loved the hanging seat ride, Tango train and car rides. The sack slide inside the funny land was pretty cool. We booked early and benefited from the earlybird booking. We have already planned a revisit sometime when the weather is cooler. We went there on a Saturday and it was pretty crowded. We have to wait almost 20 mins for each ride. I believe a weekday visit would have been better. Another aspect they could improve is allowing those who had online booking go straight in. We had to queue up like those who were without a ticket and I believe this is since they had to take the height measured for kids. Rides are restricted based on the height of the person. Otherwise all good and one of the best place to visit for a fun-filled day.

Luna Park is a blast! There are tons of activities for both kids and adults, so you're never short of things to do. I had a chance to ride a couple of their roller coasters, and let me tell you, they're a thrill! One of the highlights was the epic view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It's like a picture-perfect backdrop to all the fun. Overall, it was truly a fantastic evening packed with excitement and laughter. I'd highly recommend Luna Park for a great time out!

The kids were excited to enjoy some holiday fun at Luna Park however when arriving they advised of a couple of rides that were closed, we decided to go ahead and purchase our tickets anyways. Just after 12pm they closed part of the park which contained at least 5 rides in that section and we were told due to an issue coke back in 1 hour it should be completed by then. After going back over 1 hours time they then advised it would be longer maybe another 30 minutes and then also stated that the rides that we wanted to go in in that area were not actually going to be opening up for the rest of the day. A real shame too because that meant majority of the older kids rides were closed and out of the 3 roller coasters only 1 was open. Definitely would not be going back in a hurry and then we left disappointed.

First time visitor. Was ok. Thought it would be bigger. Probably not worth the price ( $50 a ticket including $10 food and drink voucher). Still it was something to pass the time and I enjoyed the 3 rides I went on.

Its fun to spend time at but there are more family friendly rides than thriller rides. After making 9 new rides you'd expect it to be more fun but all there is is 3 new thriller rides while the other 6 are family friendly. Half the time some of the rides are under maintenance and the rotor is somehow always under maintenance

The new pricing structure is a rip off. Arrived at 7PM and they no longer have an evening pricing, instead a pricing for the whole day although we were advised we do not have enough time to go on all the rides. We ended up paying $140 for 2 children, about double the old pricing. This was despite the long wait times and the fact that a few of their rides kept breaking down which limited the kids enjoyment. We will not be returning or recommending this place as long as they stick to their new greedy pricing.

Amazing experience. If you're stuck at deciding where to take your children's this Holidays , Luna park is perfect along with all the Actors , music, singing, dancing and of course cool rides.

From the moment you walk through the big smiley face you're in a kids wonderland. Action buzzing around, rides to go on, fairy floss to eat. Coney Island as old school as it is, shouldn't be missed. By the time you leave the kids are ready to fall asleep in the car on the journey home. all this on Sydney Harbour water edge.

Fun rides both for kids and young adults. Awesome backdrop view of the harbour and city skylines. Opens until late at night, maybe because it's Vivid when we go there.

Luna Park was a fun family day out, the rides and games are fun enough with activities suitable for all the family. Itโ€™s easy to get to also with great views of the harbour. My only dislike is that the place is too sterile, it lacks โ€˜magicโ€™ - maybe it needs some greenery or something to make it feel a little less cement playground.

It's a lovely theme park near the harbor bridge. You may oversee the opera house as well as the bridge in the area for some beautiful photos. Wonderful place to have some family fun time or date with your partner to enjoy. There are tons of activities such as the rides, booth games, and interesting playground. Even if you are not interested in those, you may have a fine time just having a nice snack and drink hearing the joyful laughs at the place.

Fun place to stroll around. The rides are fine if youโ€™re into that sort of thing. Free entry into the park, you just pay for rides and food etc. epic view of the Sydney harbour bridge. Take the ferry over or back if you can - beautiful.

It was my first time going and had a great time with my husband. Itโ€™s in a beautiful location by the water near the Sydney harbour bridge. The rides are expensive ($75 for an adult pass per person and $65 for children) and is to be purchased separately from the side stall games. We just ended up playing the side stall games and spent close to $40-50 playing those games which were fun. We even won 3 huge soft toys and got tons of badges, langyards and a helicopter hat. The vibes and environment is super colourful and fun as well. I did expect it to be much bigger but itโ€™s not really as big as youโ€™d expect to see in person, which really surprised me. The food is obviously pricey haha but was a nice experience. Overall would recommend and will definitely go back someday and try the rides as well!

Nice little park for both adult and kids, but I think mainly kids cause of the rides available. When we went, another rollercoaster was under construction so ๐Ÿคž for that. The ferris ๐ŸŽก was also under maintenance so we didn't do much there but walk around. Overall, a good family place to come to.

A fun day out! Easily accessible by public transport - a train or ferry to Milsons Point, then itโ€™s just a short walk from there. There is parking available but I believe it is pretty pricey. You can buy a ticket online (and I would recommend it as you sorta skip the lines at the door, but still have to get your wristband, and itโ€™s slightly cheaper. We got the day passes, which allow you to go on whatever ride, as many times as you like, until Luna Park closes for the day. I would say that we spent about 3-4 hours thereโ€ฆ there werenโ€™t as many rides as expected, and the lines for the rides werenโ€™t excessive on the day we went, so we got through it quite quickly. Overall, itโ€™s a fun place to take children, but Iโ€™d say that the rides were a little underwhelming. My favourites would have been the vertical drop one (itโ€™s very sudden and a lot scarier than youโ€™d think), the sledgehammer (probably the best ride there- you can choose if you want to do it spinning 180 deg or 360 deg / upside down), and the tango train (lol we accidentally sat with the heavier person on the inside so it was quite an experience)! If I were to go again, I probably wouldnโ€™t buy a day pass, but individual ride passes, since I wasnโ€™t really interested in a lot of the other ridesโ€ฆ

Very busy theme park during school holidays. Parking was difficult to find on the street. But the views and weather was definitely worth the hassle. Wished they did a single ride ticket because I can't make myself pay $65/75 for a day pass and only go on a few rides...

The best views for a theme park. I've never seen such a scenic location for a theme park. There are more than two dozen rides. Each ride has its own charm and excitement. The park is beautifully designed and looks pleasing to see from every angle. I was surprised to see its beauty from the top (the ferris wheel ๐ŸŽก) and I was amazed. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿคฉ

Attended a wedding in the Grand Ballroom and from start to finish it was amazing. The staff, food and attention to detail was unbelievable. Not to mention one of the best views in the world. We even got wrist bands to enjoy the rides before the reception. A night to remember.

Luna Park is always a blast! The only downsides were I asked if one of the food outlets could rince my baby's bottle for me and they said to rinse it in the bathroom, I spoke to management and they informed me about a room where I was able to do this. So a little staff education is what will hopefully happen (maybe better signage around too) I also had some trouble finding a baby change table which looked like it had been removed for some reason hopefully it is fixed soon so you don't have to walk everywhere looking for one.

Albeit pretty expensive, I'd say halloscream is worth going at least once because the vibes are there. Great effects. We were expecting more scare actors and the wait times can get very long which is alright but unfortunately the event only runs for 4hrs so you'd get to go on max 4 - 5rides. One of the best rides I've ever been on would be the Sledgehammer - highly recommend and to go at night. There's nothing more exhilarating than a 360 view of the city and harbour at full speed ๐Ÿ’ฏ

It was our first time to Luna park. And I muet say that we had a great time So many rides and games. Lots for adults and kids The staff are so friendly and always very courteous. We loved everything about the park The only down side was that we went on a sunday and it was super crowded. We had to wait in long ques for the rides

Went here as a part of a conference Gala dinner. It was alright. The Ferris wheel was my favourite since it was the only one I could get on without fearing about my weight or if I could fit on the ride. The views are pretty up there too! You kinda go through everything in about under 2 hours. The dinner itself was in the Crystal Palace. The venue was nice, itโ€™s pretty big with an upstairs portion as well. Good to go to maybe once or twice.

what an amazing place! the rides are fun and value for money is quite good, u get unlimited rides all day until the park closes. The food was nice but it's super expensive so packing drinks + snacks is a go to for saving money, there are many accessible toilets and they were big, clean and not busy. The rides were fun, some were so scary but me and my younger brother had an absolute great time here! I'd say it's something fun for the whole family to do on your summer vacation. ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ–๏ธ p.s although it was a hot day, it wasn't that bad make sure to bring a hat and sunscreen!
