This bridge is super spectacular! Usually in have always looked at bridges as structures serving utilitarian purposes. however, this bridge does not only serve the purpose of transportation but also breaths a new life into this area. It adds to the vibrance and grandeur. The sight of this bridge from the flight itself made my heart full.

Spectacular as it is. Both side of the bridge have a good picnic areas. Still be able to find parking spot and walk around. Nice view both day and night. If you have a chance to visit on NYE that’d be the best. You also can get a train to north side which will cross the bridge so you can see a good view as well.

A world 🌎 Heritage landmark bridge. The most attraction of Sydney is the Harbour bridge. It was an amazing experience seeing a bridge on a ferry or cruise. It looks more beautiful after sunset. Luna park is just northern side. I recommend it and will definitely be doing it again. Fantastic time & awesome 🌅 views.

Sydney Harbour Bridge is super cool! We hopped on a ferry, and the views were awesome! The city around the harbour is so much fun, and the bridge is like a giant adventure waiting for us. It's really amazing! If you ever go there, you have to check out this bridge – it's like the coolest thing in the whole harbour city! 🌉🚢 Definitely recommend just chilling put on the ferry and taking in the view from there.

The iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge - connecting north and south Sydney by a multi-lane, bus and train enabled bridge system with electronic tolls. Thank you for displaying both the Australian flag and the Aboriginal flag. A stunning sight that everyone must bear witness to when travelling to Australia for business, leisure, or otherwise.

The bridge is one of the beautiful bridge in the world. You can walk the side of the bridge and you can across the huge river. The bridge was built the cost was 6250000 AUD so it was really expensive building cost and it'd been a long time to construct around 9 years. Anyway you can enjoy for free to walk so u must walk it.

Iconic central landmark of Sydney. Useful as a bridge but also as a marvel of architecture. So relaxing to sit by the Opera House and appreciate the views!

The view from the bridge is not as impressive as the immersive view U see here in the reviews. Opera house definitely looks good. But unless U reach around twilight I don't think U get such beautiful views As such Australia has beautiful skies so it's good generally. So enjoy

Sydney Harbor Bridge is a place where you can stroll, walk, cycle or even run with a beautiful view of the city. Along the way we can contemplate the beautiful Opera House. It's a great walk to do in the late afternoon. If you come to the city as a tourist, be sure to take your photo on Sydney's most famous bridge. The view is worth every minute, in addition to the beautiful photos you can take on this wonderful historic bridge in Sydney. Also, don't forget to enjoy the experience and the view, which is the most important thing.

Excellent views of the city and of the Sydney Opera house! The bridge was built in 1932 so it definitely feels old but yet is still well looked after and holds the test of time. Would recommend for a quick walk over it. But the bridge climb looks a bit expensive.

Behold the beauty of the Harbour Bridge during the Vivid festival, one of the iconic light laser show on planet. Whole city bathes in vividness and the nights reminds of pendora from Avatar . The cool breeze and chilly nights makes the stay worthful and memories etched deep for lifetime.

Actually tourists did not see two things in Australia's Sydney. There is one number in the World of Sydney Opera House and there are two numbers in Sydney Harbor Bridge. I did not have an exception to me. I enjoyed two very well. I went there three times.

The internationally renowned iconic Sydney Harbour bridge needs no introduction and is a must visit with plenty of accessible views from the Sydney CBD side if you walk through areas including the Opera House, The Rocks and Barangaroo Reserve. You can also walk along the bridge, book a Bridge Climb, and drive along the (toll road) bridge to fully experience the bridge.

What a beautiful iconic monument! Visible from far, more beautiful up close, and breathtaking during the New Year fireworks. 4 star only because bridge climb is too expensive and there is a toll when driving through and also because it’s not easy to drive on as the lane direction changes. Other than that, I love a good picnic under the bridge!

(Translated by Google) The Sydney Harbor Bridge is Sydney's main thoroughfare, which includes a tramway and pedestrian crossing through downtown and North Shore. The port began construction on July 28, 1923 and completed construction on March 19, 1932. From the pier guests can admire the city's impressive scenery, such as the Sydney Opera House, Sydney's famous iconic kangaroo. One of Pier's piers is Dawes Point in The Rocks. The crossing of the bridge is called the Bradfield Highway, which is 1.5 miles long and is considered Australia's longest freeway. Construction of the Sydney Harbor Bridge began in 1924 and employed 1,400 manpower, at a cost of up to £ 4.2 million, under construction by Dorman Long and Co of Middlesbrough. Up to 800 families living on the planned road bridge were relocated and their homes destroyed without any compensation as the bridge began construction. 16 workers lost during bridge construction. Design of the Sydney Harbor Bridge The bridge is designed with arched arches, measuring 1149 meters in length, 49 meters in width, 139 meters in height from the top of the arch to the foot of the bridge. The main span is up to 503 meters, the height of the bridge is 49 meters (measured at the midpoint of the bridge). Millions of hand rivets and 53,000 tonnes of steel have been used in construction. paint 30,000 liters of paint. Divided into 8 lanes of traffic and two railways, one in each direction, but at the time of construction, two lanes east was the tramway. Visiting here you can take a stroll from one end of the bridge to the other, or you can climb to the top of the bridge to admire breathtaking views from the Sydney Harbor Bridge. At present, the pedestrian walkway is closed, but you can cycle through a special lane and walk across the bridge for free. The cost for Cars is $ 3.30 for a round trip from the north to the south. One of the most iconic and must-go places in Sydney. Can't tell others you went to Sydney without landing a foot on the Sydney Harbour Bridge for sure. Snapped some photos on, from, of and with it, from day to night, from north south east and west, selfies and all sorts of poses. A must-go, to tag along the Sydney Opera House.

Sydney harbour Bridge and The Rocks is spectacular place to visit, day or night! So gorgeously romantic, and inspiring! Plenty of great places to see eat and fill your soul with happiness, try climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge with your partner, friend or family. The bridge climb is safe and the bridge climb instructor has years of experience and provides plenty of historical stories about the construction of Sydney Harbour Bridge and the many famous celebrities that have enjoyed the climb. When you reach the top of the bridge there is a photograph session which provides a souvenir of an unforgettable adventure! Also ferry to Milson’s point (Luna Park) easy walk to Lavender Bay for a swim or stay on a yacht for the night, go kayaking on Sydney Harbour — Thoroughly recommended— 10! We stayed overnight on a yacht in Lavender Bay, romantic unforgettable inspiring! Many venues around Circular Quay offer great food and drinks with spectacular views of Sydney Harbour Bridge day or night! Highly recommended 12/10!

Another major attraction for Sydney. You can get a good view of the bridge from Circular Quay or from one of the cruise ship options available. Tourists can also climb the to the top of the bridge but I heard it's quite expensive. Fun fact: The NSW government spends $10m in maintaining the bridge since the steel rusts from the salty water. Then again, they make back the money in 10 folds from the tolls on the bridge

There are many ways to experience and observe its beauty from various angles: - Walk on the bridge for great views toward piers and Sydney Opera House. - Ferry: either on sunny days or at night during lights performance. - Harbour - Sydney Opera House walk or some lookout. It's a must see thing when visit Sydney. Even though I have visited Sydney many times, I can't find bored watching or visiting it.

Sydney Harbour Bridge is iconic to Australia & Sydney. The bridge is an amazing structure & you can walk around the harbour & see the bridge from different angles & perspectives. People can arrange & pay to climb the bridge …..very safe to do with an instructor & you are harnessed to a cable, so you CAN’T fall! (I’ve included a photo showing a group of people on the top of the bridge). You can drive across the bridge OR walk across OR catch a train too. The bridge is spectacular looking during the day & at night. The bridge is within walking or Ferry distance from: - Sydney Opera House - Circular Quay - Public transport eg ferries, trains, buses, light rail - Restaurants, cafes & bars - Shops, including Australian Souvenir shops - ‘The Rocks’ area where the oldest pub in Sydney is & many other significant buildings, pebbled roads, building facades made from sandstone & cafes, restaurants & bars - The Sydney Harbour is magnificent with many yachts, ferries, party boats, cruise ships, Jet Boats etc. in the harbour - Luna Park is an amusement park that is also iconic to Sydney (I’ve included a photo with the Ferris wheel near the front of the entrance)

Icon of Sydney. Great views of the CBD and the rest of the Harbour. Can be quite windy and cold during winter months and absurdly hot during the height of summer. The only issue is the traffic is loud and distracts from the serenity of the bridge but still a worthwhile walk.

Great experience, we are both over 70 ( the age limit was 75) and we managed to do the bridge climb to the top!! Wow it’s an experience not to miss if you are in Sydney !! We booked on line well in advance as we were limited to time as we were going on a cruise but we had a wonderful sunny day So we were lucky. The walk is slow about 3.5hrs so easy for all ages, the only part that’s is steep is at the start and end but you can do it at your own pace. Lots of instruction before plus a check on any medication beforehand. You cannot take a camera or even a tissue But hey ho if you have paid to climb the bridge you must get the pics and video for a keepsake.

I really enjoyed the information that the leaders knew about the bridge, they were really informative. The view from the top was so beautiful. We were lucky to do it the day before the week of rain which was nice. I would definitely recommend doing the climb. I know I will be back.

This is the best place to see the whole of Sydney if you climb to the top of the bridge. This area is great for photography if u go from many different angles, like from the Opera House. This is a very famous landmark in Sydney, most tourist should come here. Highly recommended. If u like spending money... then pay around $100 AUD to go to the top of the bridge. It's recommended to go around sunset time so u can capture the sunset from the top of the bridge and get awesome views.

The harbour bridge walk offers great views, overlooking the Opera House. However, the fences on both sides of the walkway block these views and you have to stand at the view point to have a good look at it. There are pubs and cafes in The Rock area for the visitors but be sure to visit before 5 which is when most things shut down

Considerable construction works being undertaken directly under the bridge. My son and myself accidentally strolled straight through the site without opposition and climbed the historical batteries/ cannons. A lovely view indeed. Plenty of historical plaques and buildings to torture and bore young children to death with and through previous experience when less child inflicted the pubs and bars towards the rocks still offer a more than enviable scene.

The bridge is an iconic feature within Sydney and although I’ve been here three years, driving across it is still quite enjoyable! If like me you’re a photographer; there are so many ways to shoot the bridge...but eventually you’re forced to be a bit more creative with your shots! Best time to go would be golden hour or evening - there’s always going to be bus loads of tourists however if you wander around to the corners (if you’re at Kirribilli) you can lost the crowds easily, beautiful surroundings.

I thought it would be refreshing to see this area of the city without so many people buzzing about, but it was actually quite depressing. No offence at all to the monuments but pandemic Sydney Harbour resembles something out of a zombie apocalypse movie.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is an Australian heritage-listed steel through arch bridge across Sydney Harbour that carries rail, vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic between the Sydney central business district (CBD) and the North Shore. The view of the bridge, the harbour, and the nearby Sydney Opera House is widely regarded as an iconic image of Sydney, and of Australia itself. The bridge is nicknamed "The Coathanger" because of its arch-based design.

The most iconic structure of Sydney, potentially even represents Australia's most recognisable landmark from an international perspective. Driving is too fast to enjoy the scenery so it's highly recommended to walk across the bridge and admire the architecture involved. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Sydney Harbour! If you get the chance to do the bridge climb. Definitely do it!

Landmark bridge. Great backdrop and photo motive. Main connection between Sydney and North Sydney. It would be a five star rating if the bicycle lane would not end in stairs on the Northern side. Fingers crossed it will happen eventually.

Sydney harbor bridge is one of the iconic land marks of the Sydney city. It is a perfect place to watch fireworks in new year or to watch colorful lights during watch during the Vivid event. Only downside is you can only walk on one side of the bridge. The other side is reserved for the cyclists.

Wonderful bridge to look at from afar. Takes multiple exits into and out of the city. Can view the bridge from the opera house side and botanical gardens. Has ferry services that can go under. There is also a bridge climb to see the view from above the bridge. A great location near the opera house, city and river. A popular location for fireworks, vivid festival, and cruise ship docking.

Wonderful bridge to look at from afar. Takes multiple exits into and out of the city. Can view the bridge from the opera house side and botanical gardens. Has ferry services that can go under. Spectacular as it is. Both side of the bridge have a good picnic areas. Still be able to find parking spot and walk around. Nice view both day and night. If you have a chance to visit on New Year's Eve that’d be the best. You also can get a train to north side which will cross the bridge so you can see a good view as well. There is also a bridge climb to see the view from above the bridge.

This bridge speaks for itself. Beautiful and majestic with a berry rich history of Sydney Australia. Stunning from anywhere, breathtaking when the sun set. Up close, you’ll be surprised. It’s age sure shows. Stunning architecture to say the least. A definite must if and when in Sydney.

Awesome spot to see Sydney Opera House. The air is not very good because the walk path is next to the main way for cars on the bridge.

  • 5/5 Phil T. 10 months ago on Google
Fabulous tourist attraction with the harbour bridge and Opera House in close proximity, you can take selfies and panoramic photos of both these icons together in the same picture. You can really go anytime of the year but it may not be that enjoyable on a wet or rainy day. If you have time, take a fairy ride and enjoy the fresh air and atmosphere at the same time enjoy the scenes. Fairies can go from the harbour to Manly and back, and the prices are fairly reasonable. If this is your first time in Sydney, I would heartily recommend a visit to this attraction. You can go to the Opera House and climb up to take really good photos.

One of the world’s most recognised and iconic steel landmarks. Designed and built by British firm Dorman Long and Co Ltd, the bridge was opened to the public on 19 March 1932. The steel structure is the tallest steel arch bridge in the world and around 200,000 cars use the bridge on a daily basis.

Iconic Sydney attraction and a great engineering feat. Walk on it, under it or on top of it (booking needed for on top), or take a ferry under it...either way it's a must do in NSW.

Another iconic Aussie location. The bridge looks great from so many angles. Take a ferry and look at it from below or stand either side of it from one of the many points along the water.

"Embarking on the RiverCat journey from Parramatta Wharf to witness the Sydney Harbour Bridge is an experience that unfolds like a visual poem. The voyage down the Parramatta River is a scenic escapade, and as the RiverCat gracefully navigates the waters, the anticipation of encountering the iconic Harbour Bridge adds a touch of excitement to the journey. The vantage point from the RiverCat offers a unique panorama of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The majesty of its arches comes into view, elegantly framing the cityscape as we approach. The bridge, an engineering marvel, stands as a testament to human ingenuity against the backdrop of the glistening water. Descending from Parramatta, the changing perspectives unveil new facets of the bridge's beauty. The architectural details become more pronounced, and the scale of the structure becomes even more awe-inspiring. The city skyline, with the bridge as its centerpiece, creates a postcard-perfect tableau that captures the essence of Sydney's allure. The journey itself is not just a commute; it's a visual narrative. The RiverCat becomes a floating observatory, offering unobstructed views of the harbor and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The commentary, a thoughtful addition, provides insights into the historical and cultural significance of this iconic structure. In conclusion, the RiverCat journey from Parramatta Wharf to the Sydney Harbour Bridge is a symphony of sights and sensations. It transforms a routine trip into a captivating exploration, allowing passengers to immerse themselves in the breathtaking beauty of Sydney's harbor and the timeless grandeur of the iconic bridge."

Apart from the typical views around the harbour and Circular Quay. My favourite viewpoint of this bridge is on it itself along the Sydney Harbour Bridge walk. Our most preferred route is to take the train to Milsons Point Station and exit to the east before walking up the staircase to the road level and walk back to Circular Quay via the Rocks.

Harbour Bridge is a must-see place in Sydney. I followed the sign (a bit hard to find) and went up there in the evening and the view up there is simply breathtaking. I also saw all the security personnel up there and I just wanted to express my gratitude to every one of them for keeping this marvelous bridge safe and clean.
