Have been trying to use a voucher I was gifted for a while. Every service is overpriced and not worth doing. Eg a massage thru redballoon costs $150, the actual store have it listed for $115. What’s the extra $35 for??? The pricing doesn’t make sense at all. Same with accommodation. Cheaper to pay thru the hotel whatever rate they have rather then use the redballoon voucher and pay extra for the exact same thing. Also customer service at redballoon is not the best. Had some questions and they kept telling me to go to their website.

I think these vouchers are a great idea but I was overcharged by Red Balloon when using my vouchers and although Red Balloon did repay me, it was time consuming and a hassle to get the refund. Two of us had a fabulous experience riding Quad bikes at Stockton Beach, a real adrenaline rush, lot's of fun and stunningly beautiful scenery to enjoy which without a 4WD one wouldn't usually be able to access. Quad bike Kings at Port Stephens was well run but when we got there, I noticed their price was $20 less each than what we'd paid with Red Balloon a few days earlier. After complaining to Red Balloon they gave me refund but no apology, acknowledgment or compensation for my time wasted. (Response to Red Balloons response; I'd only booked the tickets for the Quad Bike Sand Dune Adventure - Safari Tour just 2 days prior to attending. Even now a few weeks later, the price showing on Red Balloon is still $139 when it should be $119 which is what the Quad Bike place charge, hence the reason for my refund. Red Balloon still have the wrong price up)

Would give zero stars if possible. Voucher said valid till 2025 the hotel we booked no longer honoured the vouchers tried to get a refund offered a different experience like sky diving or a hot air balloon very similar to a hotel stay! Or of course a different hotel at a greater cost not happy at all! Might say it's my own dumb fault but the voucher was bought right before covid so what do you do? Will never use this service again.

I have not been happy with the service of Red Balloon. It was supposed to be next day delivery and 3 days later they tell me it is not being despatched until tomorrow. I then spoke to Editable Blooms who the order gets sent onto and they were wonderful. They will send out today. I will not order from Red Balloon again. Not even worthy of one star but had to do that to post this review. Lyn Abbott.

Once in a lifetime holiday to the Whitsundays and we booked jetski for 4 through Redballoon. The provider cancelled the trip due to bad weather and we can now only get a voucher from Redballoon to use on their activities, which none of them being close to where we live and they refuse to refund our payment ($1,008). Be careful of third party event booking websites. They are not helpful and will not provide refunds. (against the ACCC)

Very disappointed! Purchased a voucher for a friend's 50 birthday to be delivered on her birthday. Still has not arrived. I contacted customer service. Response took a few days supposedly they have resent yet no voucher! Will never use this company again should have gone directly to the business where the voucher will be used. Very unhappy customer!!

Please stay away from Red balloon. By reading the reviews it is evident that the business have no ethics or values whatsoever. I purchased Italian feast for 2 for 99 AUD. When we arrived at the restaurant we were offered a seperate menu which didn't have any thing they advertised. I have sent emails after emails no one bothers to offer a solution for over 3 weeks.

I wished I had read these reviews before I purchased my voucher through this company as I would also give zero stars if I could. Purchased vouchers to an experience that was confirmed, but was told it was cancelled at late notice the evening before. I re-booked another session 2 weeks later, and when I turned up, doors were locked because the session was cancelled (again) due to low sales numbers. We were not notified! I’ve tried to claim a refund now from RedBalloon because I don’t want anything to do with RedBalloon or the supplier because there is no guarantee that they will fulfil their obligation, which we have already paid for. RB refused to give us a refund because it’s past 14 days from purchase date, despite us booking the event and the supplier cancelling on us (twice!). RB takes no accountability for their suppliers, so there is no benefit purchasing via this website. Next time, I will purchase directly from the supplier. At least I can hold them accountable via ACCC. Right now, I’m stuck because neither RB or the supplier is accountable for the lack of service being provided. Stay away is my advice!!

BUYER BEWARE!! Experiences were delayed, than cancelled and Red Balloon take no accountability. Unable to attend rescheduled experience due to Cv restrictions the vouchers expired and RB reply was ‘tough luck’. Appalling, would never ever shop or use them again. Should’ve listened to friends who had similar experience. Much better service providers out there! Or find the experience than book direct. Much less hassle and less likely to be ripped off. Should be re-named Red Scammer Bullocks

Would give zero stars if I could. Red Balloon are scammers that support scammers. I was given two vouchers for Christmas worth over 400 dollars. Took my friend to go get a massage/float/sauna package. About 15 minutes into the first service there was a power outage. I finished my massage but my friends float was cut short. The owner said we could re book for another day, however when asked about dates I advised I wasn’t available until about October. I was advised “no it had to be within the next 3-4 weeks” - the business was changing hands an apparently the new owner won’t be okay with it as it was a “complimentary visit” at the “owners cost” ( apparently a service that was paid for and postponed means it’s complimentary?) - as already stated I wasn’t available then so I went through red balloon for a refund. The provider flat out refused to refund me because they still need to pay their staff. I had to argue just to get 160 dollars of the the 420 spent back. Red balloon refused to take responsibility, ignored the fact that I wasn’t given the time to re book, and continue to insinuate that it was me who cancelled the booking even with proof it was the supplier not allowing me to book. Had I originally booked for October, there would have been no issue as this was well within my 18 month validity. But because I had already booked I was apparently not entitled to have my money back - even though the reason for re booking was not my fault. the supplier has taken my money without providing services, neither red balloon or the supplier have adhered to the validity of my voucher, I have essentially had my money stolen off me. Red balloon care more about supporting their scam artist suppliers then they do about their customers who spend so much money through their company. Will never ever use again.

Was given $150 of vouchers that expired less than a week ago. Enquired about possibly still using them (as many vendors do accept them) and was informed it will be $30 to reactivate the card. Considering we spent two years in lockdown, it's pretty ridiculous to change people to use a voucher that is theirs. If a voucher is to be treated as cash (as stated on the back of the card) it should have no expiry.

Zero rating, no empathy and when voucher expires they withhold your money, and refer you to there Terms & Conditions! We confirm our complaint lodged today (19 June 2023), after we were refused access to our remaining points, as we were advised that they were forfeited as they expired on 21 March 2023. Your representative Angelica showed no empathy and just referred us to your terms and conditions, stating our points were forfeited due to non use! The point is there is no loss to Redballoon as you were essentially holding our money in Trust, a balance of $413. Our key points we believe should have displayed some flexibility in our request was: 1. We were not notified by Redballoon of our new points expiry date. 2. Now we know the points expiry extension given, this period represented a good portion of time elapsed that we couldn’t use our points due to COVID restrictions. 3. We used some points on 6 February 2023, by a phone booking, and were not told our balance of remaining points and that they would expire in around 6 weeks. There was no duty of care shown here, as there would have been no loss to Rebballoon to advise us of our points status. As we were under once in a lifetime event of COVID, we believe that we should have been advised of any variation to the terms and conditions, the extended points expiry date, along with some the terms and conditions or your call Centre not advising us that our points were expiring soon, when we spoke last on 6 February 2023 to claim some points.

Awful service. Egregious financial behaviour. Please avoid. Fully paid 4 skydiving gifts purchased in 2013 for family birthdays . Unable to utilise one visit due to weather after travelling to Wollongong. Then family travels overseas for work. Then covid. ...Request an extension to utilise for a medical CHARITY auction as original recipients away. Informed redemption is ZERO. Experience extinguished.

Very happy with the customer service at Red balloon. No wait times to talk to a real person, not a machine. Got the situation sorted quickly and explained everything I needed to know so well. 👍👍

Red Balloon prices are more expensive then if you go through the actual venue of the place you would like to visit. I will never use red balloon ever again in my life. Do not give your review on their website for a particular experience as they will tell you that your review doesn't meet their guidelines and your review will be taken down .. They harrass you and send you multiple emails throughout the day .. Get a life red balloon not all experiences are good.
