This is one of the best wine tasting i have experienced. The host was friendly and explained the tour in detail. The best part was the wine tasting with the food pairing. Both the food and wine were delicious. Thumbs up!

We had a tour of the cellar and history of Donnafugata, it was a really nice experience with Ignazio telling us the history of the house and the brand, all the locations and the goals they have. It was really nice to get to know the processes and different wines, and also the environmental friendly techniques. And of course we finished with a wine tasting with some local food, excellent work! Ignazio is super nice and friendly, very good experience!

Had a great time visiting this winery! Had a guided tour about the diversity of the Donnafugata wines, the tasting may have even been the best.

Very nice place to learn much about Sicily and its wines. Donnafugatha differs from the nearby ones as they do not produce any Marsala wine. But they have some of the most interesting and refined wines on the island at the moment (in my opinion). And with great style. The whites are pure poetry, featuring also some dessert wines from the tradition like the Ben rye'. My favourites are the Chardonnay, super dry and perfectly perfumed. The guides are very kind and very prepared, and the visit is of superior cultural value, featuring also the tasting of local specialities. A must.

Good wines indeed, but what made the difference was the lovely Giulia, their guide: kind, informative and funny.

Best wine tasting ever. It was very interesting, good organised and I've never tasted so many different flavours. The four wines which we could try and the food were really special. The most amazing was the sweet wine Ben ryé. I normally don't like sweet wine but this flavour was like nothing I ever tasted before.

By sheer coincidence my favorite Sicilian wine had a winery in Marsala just a short walk from the marina! I was there for two days and had to visit. Unfortunately though I didn't get to try any wine tasting or the brunch that they offer as they were full but, we were still able to have a tour guide show us around the winery and explain in English which is very nice. The giftshop has so much Donnafugata wines that I'd never tried before, it was amazing. We even managed to see one of the winery founders, signora Gabriella who came by the gift shop to say hi to her employees. Just goes to show how appreciative these people are and that they really like to be hands on. Well done 👏

Visited Donnafugata winery during a trip to Marsala in September. First of all I must say that the staff is amazing. I requested a last minute tasting and there were able to accommodate me. On the phone as well as in person the staff was friendly, welcoming and very professional. The actual winery is modern, beautiful and full of artworks. The tasting tour provides a comprehensive history of the family and winery and visit of the grounds. Good to know that there are no vineyards as part of the visit. The tasting was limited to 4 wines accompanied by delicious bouchée and it was good to give you a quick overview of standard wines (note that Donnafugata does not make Marsala, if that is what you hoped to taste you may be disappointed). Already being familiar with the Donnafugata wines, I would have like a more focused / specific tasting. The one thing I liked less is that is that the tasting took place in the wine shop and the back and forth of people coming in was a bit distracting particularly when it was a large group. Overall I would definitely recommend visiting Donnafugata to taste delicious wine if you pass by Marsala.

We were disappointed. The tour is only of their aging and bottling facility. We understood it was not the vineyard, but in general the tour was just OK, kind of boring. We tasted 5 wines (2 whites, 2 reds, desert style) The whites and reds were lackluster. My wife disliked them all and I only though the 2nd red was barely OK. Only the last desert style wine was good. Pairing sounded like some small food bites, but was just some small pieces of bread and 2 small chocolates. Way overpriced for what you got (30 euro each). You could buy 3-4 nice Sicilian bottles of wine for the price and skip this tour. Maybe they have better wines, but the ones we tried were not good. We had much better wine all over Sicily. Cannot recommend.
