A welcoming and relaxing place to stay on Isle Madame. Shauna the owner and her friendly staff made us feel welcome and the room we had was just fine, perfectly clean, comfortable beds, good air conditioning and nice continental breakfasts.

The Clairestone Inn came as quite a happy surprise. What we expected was a nice, typical accommodation as we have experienced visiting Nova Scotia. What we got was a charming, meticulously maintained, modern Inn with appointments you would find in an elegant and expensive hotel. The bed and bedding was first rate, the rooms are large and comfortable. The common areas are large (which allows privacy), inviting, and designed to provide comfort whether reading, dinning, or having a swing on the porch. The staff are a reflection of the surroundings: warm, attentive, and good at their jobs. My wife and I cannot recommend them more highly.

This place is really lovely. I stayed in the Signature Queen Room and was very pleased. The room and bath were very clean, well-appointed, and had a great view. I enjoyed the slippers and robe as well, and made good use of the in-room coffee maker. All in all, this was a great experience. If I need to stay in Arichat again I will definitely stay here.

This is our 2nd time staying at the Clairestone Inn. Always great service! The rooms are modern and comfortable, everything is clean, and so many things are within walking distance like the Lenoir forge.

Staff was very friendly and outgoing. Looked after us even letting us check in a little earlier. Rooms very clean and fresh. Had a drive up room downstairs. Very quite could not hear any traffic. Regrettably did not get a chance to sample the famous salted caramel pancakes. (Had to leave both days early in morning ) highly recommend this hotel if you plan to stay in the Isle Madam area. The only complaint would be the beds. They were clean and fresh but like most hotels they are not your bed at home so it takes getting used to. Looking forward to having the opportunity to stay here again. There are so many treasures to discover here on any drive around the little islands that connect with each other here.

This is an amazing spot to stay. The owner Shauna was kind and so knowledgeable about the area. She went out of her way to help us find food and make sure our stay was comfortable! Rooms were clean and homey like you could settle in and stay for a long time. The breakfast was the BEST breakfast in have EVER had. Highly recommend the french toast with the salted caramel drizzle and bananas. Loved hearing and reading about the history and family who owns it. Good luck Shauna with your inn! You've created something amazing!!

I almost don’t want to post this review… because I’m afraid when we go back, we won’t find a room available! This place was amazing. A beautiful and very comfortable room (which had an ocean view) that was impeccably cleaned, a well stocked bathroom (my wife love the products being stocked inside - I don’t know much about these things, but she was thrilled!), and a fantastic owner and staff that will go out of their way to make your stay a great one. We had breakfast there as well, and it was delicious. And the views and location… again, they are amazing and ideal for a retreat. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. After spending a few weeks touring about the Maritimes, this is the place we loved the most, and that is saying a lot as we stayed in a lot of great places. But this place is perfect, especially if you want to get a little bit off the beaten path and find a relaxing piece of heaven for a stay.

I was traveling solo & stayed one night at the Clairestone Inn. It was a great experience in every aspect. The innkeeper allowed me to use the convenient hose to clean my car, a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S cabriolet. I was able to walk to my choice of three restaurants for supper. It’s not easy to select meals other than seafood when you’re on an island surrounded by delicious, nutritious seafood. My room was clean, comfortable and priced affordably despite being in the early September & late summer. I would be more than happy to return to the Clairestone Inn, as well as to recommend it to others who are traveling in this area.

Beautiful and relaxing stay. What a cute town and stunning area away from the busyness of the highlands. We felt so comfortable and calm and peaceful here. Lovely owners too, with lots of great details. Romantic and quiet vibes!
