Very tasty Indian food. I highly recommend the Samosas. It was simply delicious. Food taste amazing and the menu is nice and small but with all the essentials. Service is very friendly - our waitress kept checking on us every few minutes. Just the prices are a bit steep.

Visited the place based on the reviews and rating. The seating style outside is really cool, gives you the feeling of having something on the highways of India (dhabas). Ordered Dosa, idly, wada, samosa chat, masala chai and lemonade. Dosa is one of the best dosas in Berlin, the taste, the chutneys are really good, must try at least once. Idly wasn’t really the best that I had in Berlin, it could’ve been better. Wada was not available Samosa chat was amazing. Very authentic and very flavorful. Must try at this place. Masala chai was also decent and can be tried for the experience. Lemonade was perfect Saw other people ordering thalis and enjoying it, so if you like thalis maybe give it a try. We wanted to have the breakfast food so we had the above listed items. It could be because of covid or for whatever reason, the service was very slow and going by the other reviews, seems like it has always been like that. The host/server lady was very kind and polite and was doing all the work by herself.

I heard mixed reviews so wanted to try myself. We asked for a spicy version instead of the original version. So it was good. Rice is chargeable. So it’s not free refill. Dal makhni is served as a side dish not as a main dish. Malabar parantha was good. Chana masala was good too. Butter paneer was okish. They gave mango pickle which improved the taste overall. Staff did forget to bring my beer and mango pickle so had to request again. Otherwise they were happy to serve and help.

Having been to 15 other Curry houses in Berlin, finally a Curry that tastes like something from the Indian subcontinent. The Telengana Lamb was easily the tastiest Curry had in this city. One suggestion: serve the food warmer.

Food is very Indian and authentic, great ambiance but one dish (sambhar) was Rotten probably a week old! Although they have good menu, portions are not enough for big hunger. I was excited about the place but not anymore

super good Indian restaurant!! At the beginning I was a bit disappointed because they didn't have the chicken Tikka masala (which is my go-to dish at an Indian restaurant). So we ordered the butter chicken, a lamb and another chicken and it was all so tasty! We also had their take on a margarita and it was super good and different, really recommended!

I was recommended this place from a list of great food in Berlin, and this list was very highly rated there. This may be the reason big that I was quite disappointed. The food was quite expensive compared to the experience, and also the chicken curry didn't have much chicken. The Chickpea curry had nice Flavors but nothing special in my opinion. I won't be rushing back.

The quality of the food is good. And it's nice to be able to get South Indian food in Berlin. Unfortunately, the prices are about 50% too high, considering that in Amsterdam (where restaurant prices are about 50% higher) one can get a masala dosa for 7-8 euro at one of the few South Indian restaurants there. That's not to mention the 5 euro lemonades etc. Service staff isn't very clear in their communication. We had to wait a long time and then received both our starters and main courses at the same time.

After regularly visiting chutnify over the years with friends and family, I will have to downgrade my review for the following reasons: - Price: increase post COVID simply does not make sense anymore. I might as well go to India Club and get a much better food and service in this range. - Portions of food: I can clearly see the biryani and chaat items portions have reduced and my wife doesn’t enjoy the dosas as they used to be. - Service: the service is no longer what it used to be. Why can’t I get the bill to my table to pay for? Why am I directed to go wait at the counter to pay for my bill? Just one example of service tardiness. It was good while it lasted, definitely switching to a different Indian restaurant for regular visits.

Restaurant has a nice ambiance and food tastes good however it is way too expensive for the quantity and there is not much value for money. Dosa's are nice but he chutneys given with them are literally a joke. They gave one tea spoon of chutney with dosa. Service was fast but table where we sat was rather very small and congested. This was first and last time visit for me.

I really like their Cochin chicken briyani and the chettinadu chicken curry. Their Malabar parota goes very well with the chicken curry. I have also heard that their dosa varieties are really good but haven’t tried them yet. So my suggestion would be the briyani and the chicken curry. Dishes tried: Cochin chicken briyani, chettinadu chicken curry, Malabar parota. They serve the briyani with a raita and the curry with rice. Pros: Great taste and good quantity. Cons: Slightly on the expensive side.

Ordered using Lieferando & this is the amount of Chutney you get from the restaurant called Chutnify ? The chutney bowl was half-full intentionally & the same goes about the Sambhar bowl. It seems they don’t really eat their meals themselves because we definitely felt that the portions for in-proportionate. 3 stars for good taste & fine customer service.

Food is ok, service truly slow because only one person was serving all outside tables. No attention at all to detail. We made a reservation outside and they only kept a table inside for us. Overall, too expensive for that food and service.

Finally decided to try this place after years of hesitation (for take away.) It came fast, which was great as I was starving without food that day. however, I can’t say much about it My curry never arrived with my delivery 😣 … only got my rice (portion was tiny) My garlic naan dry & hard as anything absolutely not edible And my coconut water damaged with a hole in the lid so was leaking. Expensive not worth it. Very bad experience will not bother again.

Ever since I watched Aparna on The Original Way I wanted to try this place. And yesterday after a long wait I finally did. But, unfortunately, I was highly disappointed. I also felt a bit embarrassed in bringing my friends and hyping it so much. Of course Dosa being my first love I ordered the classic one. It was lacking everything! She said she brings India to Berlin and the food is the food we eat in our homes in India. I couldn’t disagree more. The dosa had no flavour, it lacked that basic and distinct taste of fermentation. Sambhar was just thickened water. Coconut chutney was pretty OK, but the quantity wasn’t more than a tablespoon (not exaggerating). And the extra coconut chutney (another tablespoon of it) was 1€. Our reservation was for 19:00, May 30th 2020, in the name of my husband (Evan Eames).

I really enjoyed the food here. Food was not toned down and the chai had a kick to it. Be careful if you can't handle spice. Otherwise it is a good recommendation. And to the people who complain about a slower service, look at how many deliveries they send out.

I ordered chicken 65, it was more like Bhajji and it was really oily. And then I ordered fish curry with pulav rice with Malabar Parotha. I loved the curry. It was really yum.

First of all, I loved the fact that they served in steel plates. It gave me a major nostalgia about my home and the flavours were also amazing. Loved the dosas, idlis and ofcourse different flavoured chutneys. Defintely visiting again soon :) Also the interior is beautifully decorated with wonderful art pieces and miniatures from India. 😊👍🏻🇮🇳 Made me wish I was in India.

It’s in a very nice neighborhood and super easy to navigate to , they offer both indoor and outdoor sitting. The staff is nice and friendly and welcome you warmly , you can get a hands on menu or scan a barcode on the table for the menu. The food and drinks here are so so good , however my butter chicken was a bit over salty and that’s why I took one star away, other than that everything went great ! Will definitely visit again.

Chutnify is one of my 3-4 only Indian restaurants in Berlin that I visit. The food is quite authentic, and excellent; the service is good and a good place to hang out. It is also one of the only places in Berlin that serves the famed but little known outside India, the 'Malabar Parathas'. You could request the chef to make the curries Indian spicy and it is always obliged and nicely done. As said, one of the 3-4 Indian places in Berlin I could recommend. Tip : Always try to reserve a table from their website, especially on Fridays and Saturdays, the place tends to be full.

We love South Indian food and Chutnify has excellent idli and dosas. The sambar that goes with them both is amazing. We would highly recommend this place.

Have ordered for delivery several times and today had the chance to finally eat in the restaurant. Very cosy and super friendly service. Food was as good as expected, and yes, of course better when eaten right away. Great veggie options. Would highly recommend the crispy mushrooms and the garlic naan!

Super nice place, with delicious as well as authentic food (at least according to friends of mine, who are actually from India) which also means the food is quite spicy. I was a bit surprised reading through other review here, in which people ordered spicy food and complained about the food being too spicy afterwards. Thus if it says spicy on the menu, expect spicy.

  • 2/5 Jason B. 2 years ago on Google
Awful service. Left after waiting over an hour for our order, despite the fact that the restaurant was empty and customers arriving after us were served within 20 minutes. An extra star for acknowledging that they forgot about us and did not charge for the drinks we ordered while waiting.

  • 5/5 Pompel M. 2 years ago on Google
My birthday pick. They have gluten free options and are very attentive with the seasoning. I can not handle spicy dishes, so Indian in general is not my all time favourite cuisine, but I absolutely love coming here. Ambiance is great and the staff really friendly.

The owner says 'Try our Masala Dosa', and yes, I tried! The best Dosas I've ever had in Berlin and beyond served by friendly staff in a very comfy environment. I had a spicy Masala Chai. All delicious and we can't wait to come back to try more from their well selected menu. Thank you for a great food experience!

A small, cosy place (with terrace seating in light of COVID guidelines) that offers a delicious menu of desi food. The right amount of spices (not overdoing the chilli so you fall to your knees) in dishes of appropriate quantity. A key difference is that the taste is not one of commercially produced food, but that made at home for a guest. Dessert needs some improvement - while the chocolate samosa hits the right notes, the pastry could be better. Adding this to the favourites for repeat visits.

Awesome Indian food and great drinks. The menu includes different kinds od food from different part of India, we tried many and they were extremely tasty 😋 Friendly and patient staff, happy to satisfy all our particular requests. Only the spicy was a bit missing! But give this place a try, absolutely worth’s it!!

Loved the experience all around. Our server was amazing and had lots of suggestions for what to order and how the food was made. It was the best garlic cheese naan ever! Highly recommend the place! Beautiful shop front in an equally beautiful neighbourhood! They also take Apple Pay!

The price/quality ratio is really off here. Food was decent but everything is overpriced I have to think twice before going here next time. Tandoori Chicken Dosa was 18.5 euro with 4 different chutneys in small bowls. Sadly the picture I took is just Classic Dosa from my wife but they are similar in the amount. Chutneys run out quite fast given their small size, plus their flavours are nothing special. Drinks like Mango Lassi costs 5.5 euros for 0.3l and Coke costs 3 euros for merely 0.2l bottle. We had to order 2 Mango Lassi and 2 Cokes because well…they are so small in portion and paid 17 euros in the end just for the drinks. I would have rate the place higher if the price is 30% cheaper. As of now the food&drink quality/quantity is not on par with the premium price. The only bright side is the friendly staff and quick food delivery.

Super leckeres Essen, aber leider sehr teuer und die Bedienung braucht echt lange, um an den Tisch zu kommen.

  • 3/5 Rahul S. 3 years ago on Google
Very very overpriced. 12.5 euro for a dosa is way too much. The quantity of Sambar is hardly two spoons. And even in that little quantity, most of it just drumsticks. And they charge extra for more Sambar. The taste is definitely not worth the price. Very expensive. I was able to find better restaurants for South Indian food for a lesser price. Giving 3 stars because the food was tasty and service was good.

Chutnify had some highlights but in total was rather decent food. I really enjoyed the sauces around the dishes and especially the one in the middle of the second image (forgot what it was). The Mysore Masala was ok, but it could have had more flavor especially the filling (potatoes). Also ordered a cauliflower rice which was pretty sour and only with lot's of sauce got to my taste buds. The service was good and I really liked sitting outside as this is super cosy and quiet. So in total I would go there again but I had higher expectations.

The food is really good and the restaurant deserves more stars than it has. Because I was iffy about trying it after reading some of the reviews here, I am adding my two cents: I understand other people’s comments about the prices: it’s not the cheapest. But they have the entire menu on their website so check beforehand that you are ok with the price and, if you are, then it’s a definitely good place to grab dinner. Great food. Nice staff. Hard to find better Indian food for cheaper in Berlin. The comments about the portion size, on the other hand, I have no idea where they come from. Maybe the portion size increased since then. But we left completely stuffed after a main dish and sharing an appetizer.

Excuse me?! I don't know who gave this restaurant permission to give me a mouth party. Honestly, the whole experience from beginning to end was nothing short of sensational. I am still swooning with the shadow of the flavours that tickle my tongue. I bit into the Dosa (Chili & Cheese), and genuinely felt like I was a little, tiny, microscopic being biting into a fluffy mattress. It was euphoric. One could akin The Dal of the Day to floating on a lake in mid-summer air, as the sun strokes your skin. Overall: unbelievable, incredible, invigorating, show-stopping, scathingly delicious, infinite, and a true honour to have become one with. Thank you.
