Added some photos of the historic home (where breakfast is held - my wife would laugh because crooked photos are my thing). I will also add a few of the out side of the property shortly. ****************** Well this is a review for Kirkwood but first I have to say that Hotels.com is really awful but…. This place is awesome and the lady who owns it is great. I arrived with hotel.com reservations confirmation number and all. Of course hotel.com had that all messed up and Kirkwood didn’t have the details and no empty rooms. But she helped me get in contact with hotel.com (that is a nightmare) and I had a room elsewhere for the first night. But…. She welcomed me for breakfast on both nights even though I had to stay somewhere else the first night and she comped my room the second night. I didn’t even really want her to do that cause she was so nice. The property has been around for a while but that is part of the charm. It is well kept and they have breakfast in a house built in 1799. Charming place and great people. Stop by to visit you won’t regret it.

When we go to that area. We only stay here. If they have no rooms available we will postpone the trip till there's rooms. Great Great breakfast in a separate house on property. Very clean swim pool. Price is cheaper then anywhere around there.

I've stayed here many times and have not had an issue with any of the staff. Sandy is the owner and is someone I'd consider a friend after all the years I've known her. Please don't let the construction that is going on in front of the hotel deter you from staying here. This is the only hotel I will stay at whenever my friends and I go to Kings Island. Staff is always great, rooms are always clean, the free breakfast is always delicious. This is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Best part is it has an ACTUAL key to the hotel room!

This cute family owned inn has turned into our mainstay place to go on trips to Kings Island unless the prices soar during a busy event. The rooms aren’t big, and the furniture is old for the most part but everything is very clean and kept in great condition. You also get a modern TV which is larger than many other hotels will give you. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and there is a old house on site used for their daily breakfast which is very cool and has more options than most similar free breakfast options at places such as a Holiday Inn Express. If you want a throw back to a Route 66 like motel that is well taken care of by the owners this is certainly it!

What a great place...older but very clean and fresh. The bed was comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. The breakfast buffet was just like in the photos on the website. Andrew was there to ensure a good experience. Awesome value for the money...$75 plus tax...can't be beat! Will stay there again.

The staff were so sweet and lovely. Very accommodating. The rooms were neat and well kept. My husband and I LOVED their breakfast. It was so delicious and seemed more like visiting family than a hotel stay. The owner tends to her garden herself and it is winter but you can still tell it would look so beautiful in the spring. Thank you for making our stay such a pleasant experience. We would highly recommend.

A charming inn that is clean and cozy. The staff is welcoming and it feels a little like home when you walk over to the farmhouse for breakfast. Not too fancy or stuffy, it is just right (:

We stayed here this past weekend and it was one of the best places I've ever stayed. The staff was super friendly and the grounds were amazing. A little secret garden that looked like it was right out of a storybook! The room was very cozy and clean. And the breakfast was delicious, served in an amazing little old fashioned farm house. We will definitely be going back.

This is right down the road from kings island which was great. It's a historic building so I kind of expected more. Our TV remote was sticky and the channel buttons didn't work. The beds were very uncomfortable. However it was good for just staying the 1 night. The people in the office were super nice. It just could use some updating.

Clean, quite, no odor, no stains on blankets or towels, no broken funiture or fridge. Keurig coffeemaker as a complimentary. Standard double bed room was quite spacious for two people. Been to high end hotels that were way smaller and overpriced for the space they had. Only problem was the construction site going on and near the property.

The accomodations were very clean but very small.. The room lacked privacy..There was no door/divider between sleeping area and shower/jacuzzi. If front door is opened, you could see directly into the bathroom.. the rooms are very small..there was only one chair for seating and relaxing. The mattress was old and lumpy. The room is overpriced.. Our room was basically a simple hotel room with a jacuzzi. Very small and cramped.

Such a cute little hidden gem! Loved the atmosphere and the grounds. The breakfast was so nice! We definitely will stay there again! It's not too far from King's Island which is why we were there.

Very affordable and extremely clean. Rooms a little dated but very nice for the price. Full on home made B Fast buffet is free and the staff is just wonderful. Wish was a little closer to the highway but the drive is not bad. Very quiet as well.

This motel is a gem! We will definitely come back. While off the main highway, it is worth getting off I-71 to spend a night here. It was very clean, and the beds were firm and comfortable. Their specialty is a good hot breakfast in an old, restored farmhouse. There are also some lovely gardens so take some time toenjoy a walk.

Very clean and well-maintained rooms! No dingy walls or smells. Very fresh and clean sheets and towels. The breakfast room and selection -- just wonderful. A great selection for every taste and preference. The greenery around with the gazebo and the trail through the park is just a cherry on top. So happy we took the chance on this unexpected spot. Highly recommend.
