This is a really nice park. It’s close to where we live and we have been there many times. It has a large pond that normally has ducks and geese around. People fish in the pond too. Walking and biking trails throughout it that go around the pond and through wooded areas. The park also has a large area with play equipment for kids. The equipment is a little older but still in decent shape. A larger shelter house sits on one side of the pond. We have enjoyed having this park so close. It connects with Corwin Nixon so so you can walk or ride bikes through both parks.

Kudos to who ever designed and engineers this playground. Spacious parking lot and clean restrooms. Playgroud is gated. There are also musical instruments, a carousel,  climbing rope net and many more. There are walking paths, picnic tables and fishing pond.

EDITED 2 mos later. Playground is finally open and is fabulous. Whoever planned the seating needs to revisit landscape architecture 101. What a bust. The playground is gated to keep kids safer, and this is great. BUT no additional benches were added to the interior gated area. Parents can't watch their kids play from the bench seats that were created in lieu of the splash pad that was removed.😥, since they are outside the gated area! Within the gated area is a grove of young pine trees, hence the name of the park. And what a more perfect place for bench seats than among the cool shade of the pines!?! But no, not a single bench seat was placed here. 5 stars for the playground. 0 stars for the un-thought that went into designing the seating. Forever grateful to have this wonderful park so close to home. Playground is currently being rehabbed with all new equipment. Hopefully it will be finished soon? Couldn't figure out if the splash pad is being rebuilt. Currently a large new metal structure exists in its place. Walked the paved lake trail and discovered dirt trails I didn't know existed before. Saw a rabbit, large groundhog, and a chickadee nest full of babies the mother was vigilantly protecting. Love this park!

Beautiful park and lake. We love all the wildlife! The maintenance could be better. There was lots of crude graffiti on our last visit.

I love all the trees and shade around the playground! This park is incredible with its paved walking paths, pavilions, benches, beautifully maintained playscape, and lawn amphitheater. It's got the most unique playground equipment I've seen and the kids are having a serious amount of fun.

Nice park, restrooms are open, clean and well ventilated. Nice paved trails for bicycles, walking, roller blades or skates. Sad to see some recent graffitied signs and one broken bridge rail on the wooded trails. Wooded trails are not in very good condition however, the creeks and brook were clean with nice water flow.

It's a nice park... With the one exception that my daughter can't use it during summer. The sun just makes this set up useless. Otherwise it's a nice park to enjoy tucked in the city.

Beautiful park. Lakes, walking paths through woods. Only problem, too many geese near the shed and goose doings all over the place.

A beautiful park for kids. It's gated which makes it safe knowing kids won't be able to go to the street. We hosted a baby shower there because there is a private bench hidden towards the bottom which has a roof and no other tables right next to it. There are bathrooms right next to the playground. There is a nice walking trail.

Great park, has a bunch of hidden trails. A gigantic hilll, a nice pond with wildlife and ample shelters. The kid's playground is awesome and includes a cool water fountain. The bathrooms are well maintained for park bathrooms. The landscaping is well maintained as well 👍

Corwin-Nixon Park is a picturesque destination that I had always wanted to visit, and I finally had the chance to do so today. As I approached the entrance in Pine Hill Lake Park, I immediately noticed the serene and peaceful atmosphere that pervaded the area. It was a pleasant and inviting start to my adventure. Upon exploring the park, I was delighted to discover that it was well-equipped with a range of amenities to cater to visitors' needs, such as benches, shelters, picnic tables, bird watching platforms, children's playgrounds, sports fields, and restrooms. I even saw a family enjoying themselves in the playground, engaged in a friendly NERF gun battle. Eager to begin my exploration of the park, I set off along the paved 0.9-mile trail that winds its way around a tranquil lake. The path was immaculately clean and well-maintained, which made for an enjoyable and comfortable walk. Along the way, I was treated to a variety of beautiful sights, such as fields of wildflowers in full bloom, adding a vibrant splash of color to the landscape. As I ventured deeper into the park, I stumbled upon a breathtaking meadow situated beside the lake. The area was dotted with picnic tables, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely lunch or snack break. While taking in the scenery, I noticed an increasing number of people starting to walk the trail as the day progressed further into the afternoon. Before leaving the park, I visited the restroom facilities and noticed a defibrillator attached to the wall. It was the first time I had seen one in a park, and I hoped that it would come with clear instructions on how to use it in case of an emergency. In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Corwin-Nixon Park, although the crowds towards the end of my visit made it a bit more hectic than I would have preferred. However, if you don't mind a few people around, then I highly recommend visiting this park, with its charming scenery and an array of amenities to suit every need.

Great little park! Our first experience here was for a birthday party and it was the perfect place. The covered picnic are was very clean and had plenty of seating. Lake and surrounding area was very well groomed amd clean. The best part is the enclosed playground. The kids can enter through the gate right next to the rented picnic area to play and you dont have to worry about them wandering off to a different part of the park. Kudos to whoever designed this park, its a great idea that should be considered by other parks

We took our nearly 5 year-old granddaughter to the playground at this park on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. The playground is OUTSTANDING. There is something for many age groups. The granddaughter really loves things that spin around. This playground has PLENTY of that! The other children and families using the playground couldn't have been nicer. This is a great place!

Pine Hill Lakes Park is a pleasant place to visit and walk around the trails. Nice fishing areas that are stocked by the City of Mason. Permit required to fish.

We have a tree planted in memory of my daughter who passed away 4 years ago at age 22. We brought her and her brothers to Pine Hill to play, feed the ducks and fish quite often when she was a child. I have made that into something with her son from the time he was 1yrs old. He is now 10 and loves to visit his mommy's tree. The park is always clean and maintained as we as the playground and the ponds which are stocked with fish. The walking trails are nice and bathrooms are always clean! My only complaint is that either some disrespectful children and/ or adults continue to take what we put around her tree. Someone suggested it may be the parks and recreation dept taking it down, but anything that has been put around or in her tree does not affect the mowing and has never posed any type of danger to anyone. My grandson is now 10 and enjoys bringing things to mommy's tree but can't understand why someone would take the things he brings which some of the items he saves his money from doing chores so he can buy something special for her only for someone to steal it He has lost his mommy why does he have to continue to loose what he brings for her?

As of July 23rd the playground is open. Cute park. A ton of waterfowl, which mean a lot of bird poop. Decent size playground with a bunch of shady seating on the parameters.

The city seems to be ignoring the maintenance of their park system. The playground and surfacing at Pine Hill is falling apart. The City needs to do a better job of supporting their park maintenance staff.

Awesome spot! My son and I love to walk and explore the different paths in the woods and watch the ducks and geese at the pond. The park itself is clean and well-maintained. I'm so grateful for this lovely park!

Awesome place to sled. Just have to watch for all the newbs that do not know how to sled or lack real life physic skills. Great place to walk in the spring and summer and why not winter. Also there are a bunch of ducks here with a pretty lake to walk around and enjoy a spectacular view. Prob one of the best parks for a picnic and not to mention they do have a playground for children. Almost forgot they have a mini skate park how cool is that?!
