The Beast is the best!!! This is an incredible wooden roller coaster. The retracked sections have made it so smooth and fast. You feel like you are ripping so hard in and out of all the tunnels. The helix after the 2nd lift hill builds so much speed it is unreal. I would take this over The Voyage any day. The night rides are good but some light pollution does make it back to the wooded areas so you are not riding in complete darkness. Long live the beast!!!

If you see this picture is because you’re in the right way to get the best intense scary roller coaster!!! The Beast set several world records among roller coasters including height, speed, and track length. Enjoy your ride !

What a ride? Not only is it the longest wooden roller coaster in the world, it's one of the best ;) Which I know is horribly subjective but this double lift hill relatively tall out into the woods wooden roller coaster is just fun. I prefer to ride it up front and it's great day or night for a fun long ride into the woods with a great Helix finale.

The best rollercoaster I've ever ridden. Built in 1979, holds the longest and tallest wooden rollercoaster world record. Goes at tremendous speeds, has many hills and banks, not that rickety (for its age it's impressive), and the ride lasts a little over 4 minutes! 1000/10

I got to ride this awesome rollercoaster in October during Kings Island Haunt, and it definitely lived up to my expectations! The speed was insane and the brakes were aggressive in a good way, and the tunnels lived up to the type! It is a good night ride, and even if the moon is bright out it feels good to see the tracks in the dark. If you go in the fall, you get to see the fall colors along the ride which is beautiful! If you come here, you better get in line asap, because the lines can be long, or get fast lane, because this ride will be worth it!

The beast is an awesome roller coaster. It’s a must if you are at Kings Island. It’s fast. It’s long. It does not disappoint, especially if you like wood coasters.

Still a good coaster... way faster than I thought a wooden roller coaster could or should be. The best is that it makes you feel like it's going to crash at any point... but it doesn't. Would definitely recommend

I haven't been on this ride for 30 years Wow, it did NOT disappoint! It is just as thrilling and exciting as I remember. Definitely a classic coaster! I am so glad KI has kept this historic coaster up and running all these years! Well done Kings Island!

Everything I had expected. Best wooden rollercoaster ride I've experienced. So much fun but not for the faint of heart.

Killer ride with killer instincts - my niece had to ride it three times because she’s got fire in her soul. 5/5 - Must ride!

One of the best wooden roller coasters in the world, and is even better at night. It’s been thrilling for over 40 years and I hope it continues to thrill for a lot longer!

My all time favorite ride. Rode it on opening weekend, ride it again today. Still love it. Fast and rough the way a wooden coasters should be. The double helix finale is still amazing and night rides are legendary. Do yourself a favor and ride this track before you die.

An amazing experience on the longest wooden coaster in the world. Well worth a ride, especially near closing. Seeing a deer from the ride in the middle of the woods was a feeling like no other.

I'll start this review by saying that my ride on The Beast was less than desirable. I came off this with a massive headache and wondered what I was doing wrong because I'd heard nothing but praise about how smooth the ride was after its recent retract. So I came back the next day when it had no wait, and again left with a horrible headache. After posting about it online, I realized I had been sitting in a wheel seat both times, which was the reason my experience was so painful. Not bad, just painful. I still loved the ride, just came off the ride feeling like death. So warning, try to sit in the middle and avoid a wheel seat because it will beat you up and leave you feeling like you got hit with a train. That aside, this truly is a unique woodie. The lift hill is so silly. You could literally do laps up and down it before the cars reach the top. But that's part of The Beast's charm. Once you get going, you don't stop (until the second lift hill) and are cruising through the woods. That's what makes this coaster like no other, the fact that you're just traveling through the woods. And it just never ends. Whether you wait two minutes or half an hour for this ride, the length of it makes it worth it. The tunnels are the best part, they're so fun and intensify everything. A truly unique experience and worth beelining to before it gains a crowd. Even if your experience is pretty rough, it's still super fun. Can't wait to get back to KI and ride this in the dark, and hopefully a non wheel seat next time haha

So the beast... make sure you brace good cuz that sucker will mess ur ribs up somethin good. Nice long ride 1st half is really nice but that second drop is WILD. I hear the slowed it down a bit.... hard to believe it went any faster. Definitely worth riding a few times on your visit!

Same great ride from when I was a kid. Built in 1979 but still the longest, tallest, and fastest wooden roller coaster. With being a wooden roller coaster it can be a little intense with shake but not very bad considering it is almost 45 years old

Omg. The name may have implied it but we definitely didn’t expect it. This ride is ROUGH like I had bruises after our first ride from my arms being banged around. Didn’t stop us from 4 more rides though. Rough, yes, but it is so fun and such a long ride. Great wooden coaster!!

One of the best rides EVER! It's 3 minutes long and goes so fast. It does best you up a little bit but it's so much fun. Kings Island is a blast. Enjoy your time there. I would say buy a gold pass once you've gone twice it pays for itself.

Iconic, great old school coaster! There are newer, crazier coasters, but this is an all time classic. Over 4 minutes ride time and feels MUCH faster than 60+ mph. Great night ride as well.

First of all, I see the reason people from all over the world come to this coaster. It is phenomenal!! Amazing speed, just the right amount of fear factor, and at night..... Absolutely a 10/10. Tip: go on the weekdays and not on holidays. We walked right on when normally it's a 40 minute wait. Happy thrill seeking!!

Always a good coaster, and I did think it was a bit smoother after the track rework this year. Waited twenty minutes on a weekday early season. Still a couple rough parts in other sections I wish they had worked on, but a nice update on this one. Make no mistake it doesn't feel like a smooth ride on Diamondback yet!
